@thatONEmachine and @larrybud I think you both have misunderstood me. I wasn't trying to compare Langhorne Slim to Dylan.
That comment was a reply to @rylosam who wrote that Slim's lyrics are comparable to Dylan's and that he has a much better voice. I disagree with that because Dylan is a poet and an iconic musician. I also think Langhorne Slim music sounds really great but in my opinion there's no way in hell you can compare both of them.
This guy is incredible. I will always remember his show at the Americana Music Festival last year. He guitar strap malfunctioned, and he kept going with his bouncy self.
@krazlilangl "his bouncy self" = perfect description of his live presence and energy. When I saw him, this man had a 2,000 person crowd (in a seated theater) on their feet and cheering by the middle of his set. He even crawled into the audience and serenaded a few people. Pure energy and joy.
@guilhermeslk If your standard of music is Dylan you're going to be disappointed in about 99.999% of the writers out there. That's a high bar you set, son.
@ primordialsuit. I have taken it upon myself to personally pimp the music of this genius all around Scotland. I have even managed to tune my American cousin in to him too. I saw him last May, and got to chat and have photos taken. He is an a complete gent.

I met him at his show in Nashville last year. He's got to be one of the most down to earth dudes in the business. Everyone should see him play live... he blew my mind.
@jamibennett meet him when he was touring with clem snide and robert from apples in stereo, traveled with them for about 4 shows doing photography for them, all of them where top notch and great performers.
langhorne is the man...once see him live u will never wanna leave. i mean what do u expect he learned from scott and seth and bobby and joe and bonnie
I'm definitely digging the banjo player. He also plays keys, is super energetic, and overall is just a really great addition to the band. These guys just keep getting better each time I see them. If you have a chance to get to a show, don't let that chance slip bye. The best party in town - I promise.
i love the banjo. is he part of the band now or just sittin' in for a while. seen him with langhorne on another video not from this session. hope he's here to stay. langhorne is so great! he's the atomic bomb!!
Langhorne fuckin' rocks. How can there only be four responses to this? I feel priveledged to be one of the few people who has tapped into this guy's magic... we need to spread the word!

what makes this the best is that only one microphone is catching every instrument and voice here, langhorne is a genius!

@guilhermeslk HEY! He's not Dylan and that's just fine. You'd probably talk shit if he was trying to be too much like Dylan
