Jeez, I didn't know grown men could be so F*cking childish. If you can't say anything good shut up. Personally I like the ghia, but I'm not crapping all over the MG. Besides joness, if you did your research you'll find that the car was never designed to be fast, but affordable (a mg sure wasn't affordable). Another thing, a VW 1200cc engine develops 40HP. The 1600 develops quite a bit more!

I own a 73 Ghia and I am sure it would be slow with a 1600cc and thats exactly why I spent an extra $900 on top of the $800 for the car to opt for a 1915cc with upgrade cam, lifters and dual 40mm carbs. I easily did all the work myself. I've done 90+mph easily on the stock tranny and I could easily blow the doors off your wiring troublesome MG. If you want to bash cars, make another video of you talking about how shitty the KG is and well see how many views you get.

LOL 1600cc and slower than my 1971 1275cc mg midget! I can't believe the KG has an engine that size and only gets 40 hp. I get 62 hp from a smaller engine! My car is stock aside from the transmision. It does 0-60 in only 13 seconds instead of 22 like the KG. Will she do 92 I ask? oh wait, I forgot, thats the top speed of the MG midget, you can only get to 75 in a KG if you're lucky! Doesn't help anything that they are all so big and heavy. Pathetic excuses for sports cars they are!

There was no other sports car on the market at that time that was more pathetic than the KG. All the contemprary car magazines said so in their driving tests. Sure the KG looks great but it should never ever ever have been considered a sports car and for the love of all that is holy put a better engine in it! A crosley hotshot is a better sports car than a KG. A BMW Isetta is faster and sportier than a KG. I just dont understand what the facination is with KGs. They were lousy, still are.

I'm not bashing people. I am bashing the cars! They suck. They are all show and no go. The only ones I respect are the ones without that stupid engine in original condition. I have the right to my own opinions of these snails and the tright to voice my opinion. If you dont want to explain why anyone would prefer a heavy underpowered slightly more expensive styling exercize ofver a less expensive purpose built sports car, thats your business.

I don't know who developed the engine, only that it was originally developed in the 1930's. Back then Cecil Kimber was racing MG's andhis company managed to extract 120 HP from only a 1098cc 6.

Porche supposedly designed the VW engine but made numerous mistakes that led to a pathetic power output. Retarded igintion timing, a laughable cam profile, and low compression. When he corrected these mistakes they made good race engines.
