  • Was just looking on ur new site and saw this. Just want to make one correction. The feet when you put together the legs you have to put the feet on first before the lower armor so that it will be locked in place. The way you did it in the video will let the feet fall off.

  • RX-78 was my dream toy when I was five (I didn't know it was a model kit back then) and 18 years later I bought this kit for my first MG. It's completed and I can't stop watching him standing on my bookshelf.

  • were did you get that animation cell of bright near the end there

  • this is the most epic MG inner frame along with the MG sinanju. it's worth to buy

  • where can i purchase an action base in the uk?

  • @space197 sadly guy there's no-where in the UK, there is a shop in Ebay, IYOUWETHEY, that sell gundam kits and stands, happy shopping mate

  • One thing i wished bandai could've added from their 1st gundam NG 1/100 of this guy was the bazooka torpedo ammo

  • My favorite pose to do with this guy on my desk is the Final shot pose

  • My kit of this guy's left foot falls off frequently.. :(

  • I just now finished assembling the GM 2.0. I recommend it for anybody who is willing to spend less money and get less accessories. no corefighter, simpler armor panels(shins and skirts), no javelin, no hammer, simpler gun, and a GM head. i love it, but I do love the grunt suits.

  • Now that I revisit this kit, I really look the classic look is just very iconic and retro. Really love this kit so since there probably won't be a MG nataku for a while, I will go ahead and make this my next kit then follow it with Char's custom Zaku (planning matte finish with flat coat).

  • thumbs this up if u were singing the original opening to gundam while Robert put core block in (^_^)

  • I think that they reused this kit as the basis for the Full Armor Gundam. Even the core fighter is the same. It seems to me that the FA is the same model as this but with extra armor and different weapon.

  • Damn.

The Inner Skeleton here is much better than my MG Master Gundam.

I'm totally gonna get this granddaddy!

    Thanks, Rrobbert184

  • Transformers can learn from this? That is just an automorph. I know that this vid is a bit old, but there were tons of 2007 movie and 2009 revenge of the fallen figures with automorph. Though I would agree with you that the pushing in of the core fighter nosecone is a very novel idea for the transformers line. I agree with you in the end.

  • i just got wing zero custom.. now i want this.. its so great!! you are very good reviewer!! go go rrobbert184!!

  • i think i might build this, just to pay respects to the one that started it all.

  • this is amazing, i want one! Im jealous and the hands arent that big.

  • MAN HANDS

  • I can't get enough of the rx-78 2.0's I want them all

  • the thing is, they did give a clear skeleton to the 2.0...and I LOVE IT!

  • can't wait to get this and the master grade god gundam in the mail

  • I think you're dead wrong about the proportions. MG Gundam isn't really anime-proportioned - it's much too slim and flat in the belly and chest. The anime itself is horribly inconsistent, of course, but generally the original Gundam had kind of a puffed-up "mighty chest".

Apart from the head and shoulders MG Nu is pretty much dead on.

I assume therefore you are excusing the v2.0 proportions because you assume they are accurate, and criticizing the Nu's proportions because you don't like them...

  • Do you have any MG Model Kit with the 30th Anniversary Edition? Hope you do a review on that. Anyway like your review. Sub*

  • LOL...it's like a kids action figure due to its color and less panel lining

  • hey there rrobbert , im about to get my first mg , would you recomend this or the exia from 00

  • Can you tell me how much it costs? I know you probably already answered this, but sorry I'm a little too lazy to go back and look xD

  • Is this as sturdy as an actual toy? How does it compare to, say, Transformers movie toys?

  • hey are you going to do a review with the RX-78-2/C.A. (Gundam Char's custom)

  • does it come with the little stand for the core fighter?

  • what kit are you going to review next?

  • i just bought mine yesterday. i was planning to buy the 1/48 Mega Size RX-78-2 because of its massive size. i hope i am not disappointed about the MG RX-78-2 Ver2.0 despite its smaller size.

Hey rrobbert284, what do you suggest I use to put the weathering effects on my gundam? One that is erasable though and I want to match the brownish color from the MG box's art. ^_^

  • rrobbert184, did you do any paint job (including line marking and gundam marker work)on this model in the video?

  • for those who don't like the retro look and prefer the o.y.w. panel lines but want the articulation. just grab the rx-78 30th anniversary and scribe those panel lines in, since it has the retro look of 2.0 but in 1/144 obviously.

  • The feet look a little short, but it's hard to compare it with the anime...

  • Hey Rrobbert, which do you like more, RX 78-2 or the G-3?

  • i love the look of this gundam the anime look is great to me

  • thanks Bandai for the Smoked Clear version of this guy, I was now able to made my mind in buying one.

    Really the inner-frame is amazing.

  • rrobert how to you not leave those white marks on the parts after you cut em out?

  • @Salamalion98 I usually go over them with a marker. so i use lining markers for dark colors, or a real touch marker for red, green, blue, etc. hides it fairly well, although there's much better pro ways to do it.

  • @rrobbert184 do you know what are the pro ways?

  • you can sand everything down, use filler, then paint, etc.

  • @rrobbert184 hey...can u tell wat filler is? im new, so i dun really no

  • salamalion98, leave 2-3mm off when cutting from the tree. then with a hobbyknife, slowly cut the protruding nub layer by layer. when you're as close as you can get to the actual piece itself, scratch it with your fingernails. it will magically blend in the plastic in the area the nub was on. trust me. i don't paint any of my kits save for a few touch ups and it works out pretty well. =D

  • i wish i have that one

  • Okay I'mm convinced this is my next Gundam model along with the G-Fighter.

  • 7:35 can it make you coffee? I'm joking

  • LOL, your wish has come true with the MG Clear Parts Campaign dude :D I really want to get Gundam Ver 2.0 with clear parts :3

  • what site did u get this from?

  • Just watched through all 4 parts and I think your reviews are the best around. Bandai should be paying you for this kind of publicity!

Oh and just one thing. You demonstrated that the shield plugs directly into the back of the gundam, but the box shows that it can plug into the backpack. Is that possible?

  • Thanks for the comment! I'm going by memory here, but it should plug into the backpack for battle ready storage.

  • @rrobbert184 amazing review as always but i was wondering if you could tell me what gundam marker set I should use to clean this guy up

  • Comment removed

  • 何言ってるかわからんが可動範囲が広い!さすがバージョン2.0ですな。

  • i'll buy the Gouf 2.0, but i still have a lot of lead gundams to finish first.

  • are you gonna get the mg Gundam Astray

Blue Fram 2nd.revise really want to see that 1

  • Do you use sandpaper for this kit?

  • No, I don't use sandpaper on any of my Gundams, though the pros all do.

  • hey do u know wer they sell this model your showing how to put together i really want one this is so cool thanks

  • i hav ethis gundam and it have a leg problem.its leg can go into the hip part but it will became loose

  • Man after seeing this I just might get it(if it is still available) this rocks and I hope in the near future bandai amkes a ton of Master Grades like this especialy the V gundams they need it but I'll hope for a Guntank and cannon.

  • 1:20 Gundam can kick its own ass! xD Awsome review of an awesome model. I'm definitely getting this one sometime!

  • I might get this. ANyway, great review!

  • oh my god, my mouth just dropped open when i saw the pose you did with only the tips of his feet!

  • Great review. I am now completely convinced that I should by any means necessary acquire this model. XD

By the way, you have a VERY nice camera for close up shots. What brand and model is it?

  • if you ever go to Las Vegas go to hobbytown USA a they have a ton of these at a discount (50% OFF)

  • Sweet to know, but since I am so far away from there... to go just to get models would be kinda a waste though.

  • speedsriker you could go on the website,

  • Why clear?

  • he like the inner skeleton liiike meeeeeee!

  • Hi rrobbert184, love your videos, your reviews are probably the best ones on youtube. I assume you live in Japan because all the paint bottles have yen stickers on them etc? I'd like to see a PG-model review from you, have you thought about getting any? Oh and you pretty much sold one Gundam Ver 2.0 with this review, gonna pick this up after finishing my current models : ) Keep up the awesome job!

  • just letting you know, the gundams from char's counter attack are bigger in comparison to the others because their design was based off the psycho gundam so its in proportion

  • Great review, fantastic!

  • It looks great, once I have complete a few models I will get this 2.0 ; D.Great review, you get 5stars and add to my favorites.

  • Hey man, just wanted to say tha I love your videos! I've got a request/question for ya. Do you have the MG Shining Gundam and if so could you review it? Again awesome work with you videos.

    Peace out

  • IMO the back ankle armor and angle guards were terrible on this. Had nothing but trouble with those two parts. But other than that, it is awesome. The iner frame is extremely fun to pose and fool around with.

  • I love your videos..Hope you will get more gundams in future.

  • Woot, this beats the crap outa my MG costum ver.ka O_o

    What a pain...

  • are you going to buy the sinanju ver ka.? I think it's much better than the RX-78-2 Ver. 2.0

  • simplicity is it's strength! ☺

  • best in technical aspects, ugly as fu*k....i liked the anime, but as i've said to a mate, unless they make one that flies on its own (RX-78-2 that is), i wont ever buy it. coz it's so over done, and everytime i look at it, i get reminded of exactly how many RX-78-2 there are...i hope they use this amazing inner frame technology to build other gundams who are deserving of proper MG treatment...

  • well if you go to hiroshima this march you can buy a clear version of this mg.pretty cool but its limited.:(

  • nice but i don't dare to buy a mg coz after i buy the whole thing is going to fall like nut raining down from the sky

  • lol i like the size comparison with V1 gundam and Nu gundam. *do-re-mi*

  • such a good model, i will be buying it soon
