actually, i'd say they do. i'd be surprised if this finished acorn. they have literally hundreds of branches, affiliates, etc., some non-profit, some for-profit, and has a global reach. it costs families $120 to be a part of the acorn 'family' of voters, so those folk aren't just going to give up easily. remember, acorn has been around nearly 40 years (and caused controversy often enough since then). this scandal hurt ~ but so did the others over the decades....

Any group who gets federal funding can be defunded without being convicted of ANYTHING. The american people should be able to choose to which company their money goes, regardless if they have been convicted or not. A company that has never done a single thing wrong can be defunded if they are found to be incompetent, or a waste of taxpayer money. If a organization recieves federal funds, federal funds can be taken away. It's that simple. Sorry, but we DO have the ability to defund ACORN, if we decide not to fund them anymore.
