Having hitchhiked a bit in the Netherlands, I have to say that:

1. Most Dutch people speak english excellently, often better than most Americans

2. Dutch women are generally beautiful - maybe it's all the exercise they get (everyone rides bikes as a means of transportation).

3. Dutch is not that hard to learn the basics, since like English (and Swedish) it is shares the same germanic roots.
