TrackIR is great for panning around the cockpit, but it can be difficult to adjust dials like heading, speed, and altitude.
That's why I use voice control add-on. Besides the fact that's how the heavies are flown (crew operation) I can delegate some tasks to the virtual co-pilot.
Try something called "Multi Crew Experience" voice control for FSX and FS9, which you can try for free for up to 7 days, and experience the next best thing in flight smulation realism.
The plane comes with a virtual cockpit. The only thing I did was install a slightly different texture. I found the texture in the Level-D Member Downloads forum on the Level-D web site.
Its two pieces of hardware. You wear a reflector either on your head and plugged into your computer's USB port is an infrared device that detects where those reflectors are to simulate natural head movements. Just Google search "TrackIR Pro" and you'll get to their web site and can read all about it.
dude that is so bad ass! I never knew there was such a thing, I play with a xbox 360 controler and its a pain in the ass in virtual cockpit because i have to use the D pad to look around
For the average scenery I'm getting around 20 to 25 fps. In higher density areas I'll drop down to 15 fps. I'm using anisotropic filtering with AA on. In my nVidia card settings I'm using the default FSX settings it comes pre-configured with. My aircraft tab is set to Ultra-High, my scenery I set to Ultra-High, then dropped each slider down roughly 10 to 20%. Weather is set to Ultra-High and under traffic I have everything turned off but airline traffic which is set to 20%.
Where did you get those textures for the panel? I used to have them but I cant find the zip anymore or on avsim or flightsim. Great video btw, where did you get those sounds for the AI aircraft?
The panel is the Level-D panel, comes with the plane. The AI planes are using the default FSX sound package. Most of the AI planes are from World of AI.
Thanks for the reply, but I do have the LDS 767, I just wanted to know where you got those textures for the panels, the color is diffrent, I used to have it, and I thought that was FS9, lol thats why I wondered about the AI, thanks.
I'm pretty sure I'm using the standard VC, but its possible I might have installed Andre Volker's add-on VC which does have slightly different textures. You can find it in the Members section of the Level-D forums at the Level-D website.
Very nice vid! Just sub'd. Please do the same. THANKS!
