This is good. I consider it Dance Pop though. It's a more in your face, spot on production.

I usually have a problem with 00's Hip Pop production. These are minimal productions limiting instruments and melody to the background, or not featuring any at all.

The hard hitting prominent drums, the strong bass, and the melody make this an enjoyable song for me. Which is what music's supposed to do IMO.

this isnt a remix of just a little while... its actually the demo-ish version of the song that was produced by Just Blaze before Dallas Austin took it over and made the version that is on the album.

yes, you are correct about that. However, when somebody does a reinterpretation of their own song, even if they change the lyrics and title, people consider it to be a remix. This version was created because the record compnay didn't think that the original would go over smooth with her already established R&B audience.
