  • love my hood.... southside...funny how not one person wanted to live here for most of my life...only low class people could afford the rent..now all these new people move in,,new bilding,new faces and mush higher rent..cuz of all new people..i felt my hood... was better before ya came.we pay 4 5 6hundred ya pay 2 3 thousand..cuz of that are rent is going uppp and pushen all the spanish and black out..i live a block away from bedford on driggs s3rd s2nd .

    My mother lived in the apt to the right of the front door and her mother lived across the hall. As children they swam in the East river on hot days. Can you believe this !!! On the Jewish holidays of attonement, people made lists of their sins and walked to the East River to throw them in .
