This is incorrect. When you are pulling over, do the following: Turn off your car. Place your hands on the top of your steering wheel. When the officer comes to the car, NEVER admit to breaking the law, ever. NEVER lie. If the officer asks you a question that you either have to admit to breaking the law or lying, don't say anything.

Never let an officer assume you're reaching for a weapon. For both of your safety. Do not go searching for your licence until instructed by the officer.

Most important thing: volunteer nothing. The more you keep your mouth shut, the less you are going to incriminate yourself. 99.9% of the time, you're going to get a ticket whatever you do. Don't open your mouth and add to it.  If he/she asks if you know why you were pulled over, do not answer.

Do not reach around in your pockets, glovebox, or center console before the officer has asked you to. (I would say don't do it if they're not watching, but some agencies are starting to direct drivers to leave their car and conduct the stop on the side of the road so they don't get run over.)

That being said, if you bitch, complain, flirt, cry, or try to exercise your rights the wrong way (believe me, I know your rights better than you do yourself) most cops nowadays will give you a ticket.

Sometimes people LEGALLY have weapons (permitted concealed firearms holders, erc) and is what he means about telling the officer right away. I always have, right after I tell him I have a CCW permit. Then I tell him where the firearm is, and where the permit is, and ask if he would like to see the permit. This video seems to be for regular people not crooks. I am sure he would love for a gangbanger to tell him about the gun in his waistband, but we know that is not going to happen.

In TN you have a 3 strikes your out limit. For each request a police officer only has to ask 3 times before he is able to use all necessary and unquestioned force.
