  • I have a Border Collie right now..it is working out great.. I gave a PURE bred Australian shepard to a stay home Mom and it was needed. She is always home adn sleeps with the dog plus the Australian Shepard needed other dogs to play with.. So it worked out for her and the Border Collie worked for me..A match made in heaven!!

  • my girl keeps me from being lazy. She keeps me on my feet, and to be honest... she brought me out of a deep depression. As i'm not one to stand for animal neglect or abuse. And my husband knew it. So he brought home this busy little puppy. And after losing three pairs of slippers i decided to take charge of this dog... Needless to say i'm not longer depressed, and i've lost 45 pounds since buying this immensly adorable puppy. She's a blue merle female, named callie with remarkable copper points!

  • @TheJuliastowe That's amazing! Dogs really work wonders for us, and it is incredible how the right ones just seem to find us right when we need them most. Despite their quirks, aussies are amazing dogs that deserve good homes like the one you have provided for Callie!

  • @live4agility Yuppers, she was my knight in shining armor. And speaking of quirks, i'm not longer allowed to wear slippers in my living room... sad as it is, but as long as she gives me the cute look, i'll forgive her. :)

  • We rescued an Aussie whose owner could not handle him. Think twice & one more time before you get an Aussie. We love our baby, but he is a handful!!!! We always tell him he's lucky he's so cute, because that's why we put up with his nonsense. His love & sweetness outweighs any of his bad habits........we love him so-o-o much. Any kind of dog you want, first research & then go to a rescue website. No one needs to buy a pet, many animals are out there needing homes. Please save a live..rescue.

  • I might rescue a bc.:)

  • We adopted a rescued Aussie. What love this dog has to give! An Aussie will get you up off the couch & on the park trail. No one should ever have to go to a breeder for any kind of dog. Thousands of dogs (& cats) need homes. Check out all the web sites & find your perfect pet. They will thank you forever.

  • I recently adopted a Lethal White aussie from a shelter. She is the SWEETEST and loves everyone she meets. She sticks by my side and is always waiting by the door when I come home. They really are the best despite their conditions.

  • i rescued an aussie and she is my very best friend

she keeps me from being lazy

    god how i love her

  • I'm so glad you adopted. Aussies are so amazing and they deserve better than this. Thankfully the dogs in this video have loving fosters and a chance at a forever home :)

  • Omg this was so sad, makes me think twice before breeding Askum, and just thinking about what will happen to the poor little puppies :c

2:00 looks like my little angel Sophie.

  • Wow, you brought tears to my heart. This video is excellent!! It is going on our favorites. For a young person, we commend you!! Your very talented!!!

Rescue gives a good dog a second chance at life.

  • Wow, thank you very much, it means a lot to me. I volunteer at our local animal control, a kill shelter, and am really touched by all of the dogs and cats that come into our doors, some of which don't get to go back out. They all deserve a second chance, and I believe true dogs lovers will want to do something about it. ♥♥♥

  • Great vid Mariah there are so many wonderfull dogs waiting in shelters, people just need to give them a second chance. Aussies are awesome I loved all the pix =)

  • /Wonderful vid. You are absolutely CORRECT. Rescues make AWESOME agility dogs. They may not take you to the Worlds.. but the Worlds is NOTHING compared to the relationship you share with a dog - no matter how many titles may be behind or in front of hteir name.

  • never say never...Mick is an ARPH rescue Aussie that won the 22" USDAA SW Regional Championships, putting us in the USDAA WORLD finals in 2005. Mick also qualitified for the semi finals in 2006, 07 and 08.

Best best of all-Mick in mine, & my soul mate.

Awesome video...thanks--you make me proud to be an ARPH rep!

Liz Dodge, ARPH Rep and Mick's mom

  • I didn't say never. ;) I said "may not".. but I stand by my word. Even if they were to make it to that level, nothing replaces or could beat the pure relationship one hopefully shares with their dog.

  • ...but they just MIGHT! I have 4, all are rescues, all do agility.

  • I never said they couldn't. ;)

  • Great vid! My next dog will be a rescue, and I'll check out that link! :)

  • I would love to get a rescue dog in the future great video!

  • the best song<33(: and i love the video mariah(:

  • Great video. Great message. Even though Katie isn't an Aussie, Adopting her was the best thing that happened in my life. Aussies are great dogs and I have had the privilege to meet some really great ones. 5/5 fav.

  • Yeah. My favorite dog is at 2:15, he is so beautiful, I wish I could get him. So many of these dogs are definately purebreds, and all so amazing, it is hard to believe that they are still trying to find homes.

  • Mariah...from all of us in the SE region of ARPH...thank you for this aussome video!! I volunteer as a foster home for ARPH in NC, and my boy Kiefer is the dog on the display for your vid...the white boy with the blue patch over one eye and the big smile. He doesn't do agility, but he is still the best dog in the world for me! Prudence, the blue girl at the end, is my foster, her owners wanted to put her to sleep because she had mange. Thanks for telling people about these wonderful dogs!

  • Thank you so much, I am glad that you like the video! I am an aussie owner myself, but she isn't rescue. She is the only dog I have ever bought, and even though she is my world I will never buy again. Hoping to adopt from ARPH someday! Thank you for the comment, and for helping the aussies. They would thank you!
