@latos44 Because the Lingering Sentiment is only Terra's mind inside his armour, it can only wield his default Keyblade, the Earthshaker, but since it was upgraded to the Ends of the Earth after Terra met Riku, it wields EotE.

Ansem, Seeker of Darkness is Master Xehanort stained by Terra (because he has Terra's physical appearance save for some colours).

Xemnas is Terra stained by Master Xehanort (because he is interested in Aqua and Ven, but still desires Kingdom Hearts like MX did).

I think the new Xehanort using the Keyblade at the end of this prequel and then never using it again in the main series was another reference to Star Wars, where we see the Emperor Palpatine use a Lightsabre only in the third and final prequel and then never use it again in the main films.

@janissary211 Way off. Apprentice Xehanort is a younger incarnation of MX with Terra (not revealed fully but maybe Eraqus too) greatly influencing him. Ansem SoD is merely his heartless and Xemnas is merely his nobody. So in short, both Ansem SoD and Xemnas have influence from Terra but it's obvious that MX has much more seen as how they are both as evil as he is and try to reach the same goal.

I Think that Ansem(Heartless) is the heartless of Xehanorts heart, using Terras body, thus he resembles Terra + young Xehanort more. And Xemnas is the Nobody of Terras heart in his own body, thus he resembles Terra more. It would make sense, seeing as their hearts were conflicting in his body. It also explains why Xemnas regained Terras memmories, while ansem(heartless) was left blank. In the end, It was Ansem(Heartless) = MX heartless, While Xemans = Terra nobody.

This is probably one of the best moments in the entire franchise so far. Talk about a master plan completely backfiring. Terra counter rick rolled Xehanort & falcon punched him the hell out. The part where "Rage Awakened" starts while Terra rises up is what truly made this a memorable moment though. Great timing by the creators.

Actually this was part of Master Xehanort's plan the whole time....

he WANTED to lose. He ALWAYS wanted to posess Terra's body. He fought Terra so he can get in more to the darkness so his body can be completely vulnerable and how MX can easily then control him and take his body. That's why in the translations MX says

"I've been waiting for this moment ALONG time Terra! -stabs himself with keyblade"

that was part of his plan. lol.

Xehanort didn't think he would lose but still wanted Terra's body for his own. He willingly released his heart for an opening he gave himself with KH opening by distracting Terra. It was just by stroke of luck Terra didn't finish him off (and by storyline chronology)
