  • made many repairs like this and find that its always better not to drill the ends of the cracks unless they are really long. Just be patient and use a light viscosity resin so the resin can get all the way to the ends of the crack wich is the tightest part of the repair. If i am using a light resin i will usually cure the repair under pressure. I ran my own mobile glass service for 8 years and sold it 3 years ago. I miss this job and the people i worked with.

  • .oO(could i fix an ipod screen with this?)

  • An excellent and thorough video thank you.

  • In response to JetMechMA's enquiry about repairing the bullseye before the crack, we repair the main damage first to prevent any cracks from extending any further past the main damage when filling the crack or "cracks" with resin. The main damage will in many cases be much worse than just a "Bullseye", usually they will be "Flower", or "Combination" type break. Although there is some vacuum loss when repairing the break first, this will not affect the end result

  • Notice the angle he uses when scraping off the extra cured resin. That's important. Come across the repaired crack at an angle otherwise you risk pulling the cured resin out of the crack. Use a fresh sharp razor.

  • How can you do the bullseye repair before repairing the crack? Won't the crack cause a loss of vacuum because it goes under the bullseye repair base? I would think you would let capillary action carry resin into the crack up to the bullseye area.....cure that resin and THEN repair the bullseye breaks. What am I missing here if anything.

  • awesome cause its old

  • Very good technique.
