@Emilysmarties1 We will take them out on good quality harnesses once it warms up. We have a nice outdoor spot in mind too - away from all cars and other hazards.

Is he from the animal shelter? or is he a speciel breed or something. i just notice the spots and things - and they were just very clear, and i just was thinking if it was a breed or something. Not that common cats from shelter can have a very beautiful coat. No defense to the people there have a problem with the question.
@TheSugarbabe1996 He is a spotted tabby -- although some people see Bengal in him (and other breeds). I am not really an expert on these things, so I can't answer with authority. He was adopted from a farm -- he was the last of his litter.
Until you see Oskar's face, you can't tell that he's blind. Animals are a lot better than humans at adapting themselves to bad fortune. I think Klaus appointed himself Oskar's protector... They are good kitties and get along so well. Give them both a big hug for me !!!

The "pocket" between the lids seems to be pretty shallow, but dirt can collect in there unless we wipe off the moisture and tears with a soft cloth at least once a day. The greatest risk would come from a piece of litter or a sharp catnip piece cutting the inside skin surface and leading to an infection. So far so good!

I noticed how you said the bed was a bit small for even one kitty... Perhaps you could get a medium-sized dog bed that has edges like that one does? :3 It'll provide the room and warmth for both of them!
@EmoFoxChibi Yeah, we will upgrade this one someday soon. They really make the whole house their bed! Couch, bathroom sinks, floor, the main bed, the cat tree, any clothes on the floor, open guitar cases, etc.! They find a way to get comfy anywhere.

not to be Debbie Downer, but you may want to incorporate a 3rd cat, closer to Oskar's age soon. with an 8 year head start, Klaus is going to pass much sooner than Oskar, and when animals are that close, it's nearly impossible to console one after the passing of the other; especially when one relies so completely on the other.
@TripinFL At 8 years old, Klaus is just now a mature adult. You can see these people LOVE their cats dearly and keeps them healthy. Most indoor cats live well past 15 years or more.

@bubbamoosecat Thanks for watching the video! The bed was actually an impulse buy when I stopped at a Walgreen's store about a month and a half ago. It was cheap too - under $10 bucks. The cats do love it.
@cdcouture Or adding a third cat that doesn't get along too well with the other two (she says with ridiculous amounts of experience to back up her claim). We do two vet visits--one for the grouchy cat and one for the other two, since they're pretty much crazy about each other.
Was Klaus's ear that way when u adopted him? My daughter has a cat that had a hematoma, a swelling of blood in the ear flap that had to have a drain put in it. He has a drooped ear like that now.

@IDemurs It's still a complete mystery. The three or four vets we have seen over the years can't be certain of what caused this. The theory is still between frostbite and bad ear mites.
It is amazing how animals will sense a weakness in another animal and "adopt" them. I think it's great. It gives them a "mission".

LOL, CUDDLE KITTIES! Actually my kitties do this behaviour as well, but it seems that it is usually started by the cat who wants the other cat OUT of their favourite place. Oh it starts out all nice and mutual grooming, but in a few minutes it becomes a kerfluffle.
Too darn cute! This is the sweetest thing. I have rescue kitties from the same litter that are loving, but I've never seen such closeness between to unrelated cats. You guys are the best for caring so much. If only everyone in this world could see the importance of caring for animals, especially the ones with special needs. Thanks for posting! As I watch this, I'm smiling and crying at the same time. I just love you guys for taking such great care of these 2 and it shows there are still great people in this world. I've been very fortunate in my life and we had a tiger cat for about 12 years and he was a riot. Persian cats before that that lived until 17 and 18. It is amazing how animals will sense a weakness in another animal and "adopt" them. I think it's great. It gives them a "mission".
I loved the laid-back timing of this video (all of your videos in fact). Perfect. Things are so rushed these days. It was good to have something slow me down and make me relax. You guys have a wonderful sense of humor. Thanks.

@MurphyDogRocksinMD Thank you for the kind words! We will actually be adding some new videos this week (the past 2 weeks were just too busy and we went on a small vacation -- away from our computer). The music I used for the video actually is a royalty-free loop that comes with SONY Vegas video editing software. I guess it fit's the mood pretty well! Take care!

LOL, CUDDLE KITTIES! Actually my kitties do this behaviour as well, but it seems that it is usually started by the cat who wants the other cat OUT of their favourite place. Oh it starts out all nice and mutual grooming, but in a few minutes it becomes a kerfluffle.

Too darn cute! This is the sweetest thing. I have rescue kitties from the same litter that are loving, but I've never seen such closeness between to unrelated cats. You guys are the best for caring so much. If only everyone in this world could see the importance of caring for animals, especially the ones with special needs. Thanks for posting! As I watch this, I'm smiling and crying at the same time. I just love you guys for taking such great care of these 2 and it shows there are still great people in this world. I've been very fortunate in my life and we had a tiger cat for about 12 years and he was a riot. Persian cats before that that lived until 17 and 18.
