This is probably exactly what BP sells you. they've got gas with "invigorate" which is supposed to clean your tank as you drive for more gas mileage. It's probably just acetone.

Think about it if your normal mpg is lets say 15 and after some slight changes its increased to 20 that means your travelling further each gallon meaning you don't have to buy as much saving you money. In this case after 3 gallons are used up in the 15 mpg one you have travelled 45 miles and the 20 one means you have travveled 60 miles thats an extra 15 miles which would have costed you another gallon

DO NOT DO THIS! This is REALLY hard on your engine. The acetone will aggressively eat away at your engines parts (seals, gaskets, o-rings). A little research online will show you some more credited scientists have gone over this and will provided proof that this can actually decrease your mpg and damage your motor and fuel pumps. Sorry folks, there's no miracle 10$ solution to everyone's fuel crisis. Remember to check a few other sources before believing something on the internet.

weight reduction is one thing, but shutting off your car at lights is counter productive because you will destroy your starter quickly. If your starting your car 10x more than normal, it stands to reason it will last only 1/10th its normal life. In in older car that you service yourself this may still work out, but if not you're back in the red. Acetone will retard detonation and give more power/ less fuel, but your valves will suffer and thats big money to fix.

Water mixtures, and the slight lubrication of the fuel (yes it has lubrication), could be fiddled with, and that the acetone is more a 8% bonus rather then mentioning that it works in unison with all the other benefits you mentioned. Instead of saying flat out that acetone alone is 20% or higher gas mileage. There is a reason acetone isn't in Gasoline. It may destroy your engine.
