Wanda, the third section of this tune shifts to the Key of G and the progression is pretty straightforward G to C to D. Then it goes back to the start of the tune in the Key of D. Just play it slow until you get it. Call me on the phone and I'll walk you through it. Also, I'll soon be publishing a medical research article on repetative motion injury and small fiber pain. New medical data that every musician should know. Check on the web page everythingdulcimer in the near future.
I downloaded it! I love your version of Amazing Grace, Dan. Once I get a version recorded...I'll dedicate it to you, since your video helped me tremendously. I have been playing that tune in C...but the whole "middle" register was missing. Playing in your key helped.
I downloaded it! I was attempting "Amazing Grace" in the key of C...and with the student model, I had to go for the low G arpeggio, which made the entire middle register sound empty. Playing in G helps tremendously. I just uploaded "Kesh Jig"...one of my fav's. I may have to learn Ragtime Annie. The minor notes are DELIGHTFUL. :)
Best version I've ever heard of that song!!!!!! Great job!!!!!!!

I have been working on this song for ages and can't quite seem to get the last section where it changes keys. Any tips? Love your version! Wanda

Dan and Michele - while I loved the video (and the song), I guess I really liked the opening; quite candid and original... Love you both....zed
