  • TOOL, why are you so fucking amazing?

  • Alrighty then, picture this if you will

  • @jointhemodernworld I know where you're trying to get at, but two words: Reasonable Doubt. A lot of it. Tool is one of my favorite bands whether or not they are tongue-in-cheek.

And Alex Grey is the perfect little cherry on top.

  • @jointhemodernworld They took the unorthodox, songs-without-vertebrae-song-structure traits of King Crimson and carried the flag for miles. They have great concept albums that are grandiose and massive. That's without a doubt. Hear the lyrics. Hear the songs. I know most of their fans are stoners and dropouts, but who cares? How many great bands are there that aren't stoned. Scratch that. How many great bands are there that AREN'T? These guys are obviously influential to some extent.

  • @jointhemodernworld Here we fucking go again...

So many people like you. I don't give a shit if they're a bunch of pseudo-intellectual bastards. Just listen to them is all you need to do. These guys have a cult building around them. Ya think Isis, Neurosis, Opeth, Dillinger Escape Plan, Porcupine Tree, Riverside, The Mars Volta, and Mastodon just came to be? Of course not. Tool has their sausage fingerprints smothered all over each of them.

  • The gate that let's you in.

  • The fact of the matter is, any moron can understand Tool, but the hidden appealof Tool lies in the fact that they give the illusion of being a band for smart people. They do this, as any Tool fan knows, by throwing in jumbled references to high school psychology, obscure religious references, and miscellaneous meaningless nonsense. Bullshit or not, as long as there’s something there to figure out or interpret, it’s going to make some stoned dropout feel smart.

  • Not playing 4/4 does not make them technically proficient. Thousands of bands play those kinds of time signatures. No member of Tool can show any unique technical ability on their instrument, neither in speed or accuracy.

  • @jointhemodernworld ARE YOU SHITTING ME?!

Danny Carey is THE most technically proficient drummer I've ever heard. His TECHNICAL drumming is the most impressive I've ever known. I stress technical because I don't consider speed part of technique. Speed takes exercise, while technique takes PRACTICE. And goddammit does he have technique.

Like, fuck, listen to Ticks & Leeches, The Grudge, Parabola, Forty Six & 2, Vicarious, Roseta Stoned, Right in Two... The list goes on.

  • sodomizing so many people's innocent ear holes

  • @jointhemodernworld I couldn't describe it better heh...

  • so simple yet such a masterpiece

  • How is it possible that this masterpiece is the work of mere humans? i dont believe it.

  • It's incredible that even Tool's dumb little interludes that they probably wrote in 5 minutes are way better than a lot of music out there

  • How does a group of Talented people meet and make such artistic badass music? How does that happen? FUCK Tool blows my mind with just the thought of the song titles.

  • this is what it's like being depressed, it's really hard for me to live any more there is something inside of me that keeps on saying suicide.it's so cold and life is like a blank piece of paper you don't understand any more.

  • Listen to this and play RainyMood (.) com. It makes this perfection.

  • this is the most relaxing thing i've heard in years

    WOW fucking amzing

  • 441 people that like this song must be retarded or taking the piss :L

  • Listen to this and faaip de oiad at the same time and it lines up perfectly

  • Fuck, I wanna trip in a hospital now :S

  • . . . . and I'm a Mormon

  • @TerribleYou Tool helped me escape. Hopefully it can for you too, brother.

  • the good thing about youtube is, i dont need to care about any of your comments, i just care about the music

  • u all ever heard the phrase 'fuk up n listen n feel what these ppl have made for us'???????? we aint obligated to think our opinion should be agreed or disagreed with let alone fukn even relevant... anyway..... thank u yet again Tool :)

  • My DMT trip without the DMT :)

  • feed back has never sounded so good

  • Did anyone else think the doctor had an almost Australian sounding accent?

  • @54MProductions Indeed...

  • @54MProductions Yep, he's definitely an Asutralian.

  • ....alrighty then, picture this if you will....

  • An area 51 video sent me to this video

  • @805Earl Breaching Area 51, it sent me here too xD

  • @805Earl Same... its how I found this band hahaha

  • @805Earl Same to me xD

    2 grannies, spy's xD

  • pic at 2:40 is freaky

  • @ayub96 Id still hit it though.

  • Part of the most widely-hated club of music dorks this side of Insane Clown Posse fans (even Tool hates Tool fans)

  • good song.

  • if i killed myself in the near future (i won't), this would be the last song i'd listen to

  • this song is on a video called breaching area 51

  • @area51lover No that video is on this song!

  • @jointhemodernworld go kill ur self dweeb

  • Toolfags certainly give off that aura of "If you don't like TOOL you must be a musically inept moron with a middle school education," element. That's the way all the posts about this band come off.

  • @jointhemodernworld Your intolerance matches that of the people you call "Toolfags." How very enlightened of you.

  • @nicklebag123 moralfag

  • @jointhemodernworld Go back under your bridge, Troll.

  • @jointhemodernworld It's a true fact though. If you don't appreciate Tool, you are a musical idiot. You don't have to like them, but only somebody who doesn't understand music wouldn't appreciate them.

  • @jOsEfLeEviE no def not. mousic is subjective an art form. liking music because you are supposed to is for TOOLS.

  • @rayallen0 Like I said. You don't have to like Tool. But you do have to appreciate Tool. They are talented.

I don't like the Beatles, but i sure as fuck appreciate them.

  • that is a very stupid comment.

  • @jointhemodernworld You're misusing the word stupid, I believe.

  • @GeoffreyTransom you must be french.

  • The fact of the matter is, any moron can understand Tool, but the hidden appeal of Tool lies in the fact that they give the illusion of being a band for smart people. They do this, as any Tool fan knows, by throwing in jumbled references to high school psychology, obscure religious references, and miscellaneous meaningless nonsense. Bullshit or not, as long as there’s something there to figure out or interpret, it’s going to make some stoned dropout feel smart.

  • @jointhemodernworld complete nonsense, your boring rhetoric is getting old, anyway shouldn't you be back at your minimum wage job, asking "do you want fries with that?" LMFAO.

  • @jointhemodernworld I saw this exact post on another video and you probably didn't stop with just 2. I don't care what any of these other people say and I'm not here to argue about who's got the better taste in music. You're just a troll and it's pretty damn pathetic.

  • @jointhemodernworld dont you get tired of saying the same thing on every tool song? please stop spreading hate and wastiing peoples time with this nonsense instead ppl should be commenting on their thoughts and ideas not your ignorance

  • @jointhemodernworld Go listen to Tool's reflection and tell me you get it. If you did you wouldn't be shit talking people, the band or anything at all. Tools just a band and its all just music. Learn to love man, or you'll be doing this shit forever.

  • @SargeantSmash7 I don't much care for this song. I think that's essentially what I'm trying to say.

  • @jointhemodernworld

All well and good, but........ Tool dedicated and album to Bill Hicks, so there must be some intelligence or purposeful drive behind their music, not just random references for the sake of it.

  • @GeoffreyTransom

    you are a sheep

  • They seem less like a 'musical genius' band and more like a band that seems like 'musical genius' to people of average intelligence or perhaps "those that want to believe" - kind of like a rock and roll version of the "Roswell Effect".

  • its sounds scary

  • How did he get that sustain?

  • @fatandshort guitar sustainers... piece of cake (tho cost bunch of money)

  • @vendettav15 like every guitar effect pedal lol

  • @fatandshort well not every guitar pedal costs a bunch does it? :)

  • @vendettav15 if you get the good stuff they do :P my whammy pedal cost 200 bucks :S well new it does, i got it for 60 lol

  • OP is a faggot

  • Try a read of 'Law of One' (free online) and see where it takes you, if you want to know what is really going on.

  • Watching this shit on LSD....

  • This sounds so intense ! Like if you just went through something extremely "revealing", I don't know how to say it... Just like you suddenly understand everything that surrounds you ! (Which actually fits the lyrics of Rosetta stoned).

  • so is an acid trip or psycadelic mushrooms like DMT? Ive always wondered

  • @willister54

they are all similar but differ and all three have something more notable about eachother. ill explain

LSD= intellectual understanding, visuals, sense of lightedness and weightedness

Shrooms=similar to LSD, less visual, more physical, known to be more "spiritual"

    DMT= HOLY FUCKING BALLS!!!

  • @tbone81395 (in my humble opinion)

LSD takes you to the entrance of the theme park.

Shrooms drive by the entrance of the theme park.

DMT You become the theme park but at a billion miles per hour and with infinate knowledge and return permanently re-wired.

    Peace,

    Cobraworxshopz

  • @willister54 No, in a word..

A LSD/Shrooms experience gives you the understanding that you are basically a remote computer, powered by Fractle technology and everything you see/concieve is in someway connected/related. Main effects of LSD are: (a) Stunning Fractle geometry superimposed over your field of vision and a unique understanding that what we see/percieve is 'created' by "God".

A DMT experience takes you to where this Universe is being created/projected from, behind the scenes.

  • vid is as disturbing as the song is...i lke it :D

    nicelly done!

  • I can never find DMT......sighs....

  • @jtmccloud1 It's not easy but try making your own, plenty of techs on the web...

  • @thesupreme. Breaching area 51 brought me here too. Crazy jam

  • Holy balls.

Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman) is about that doctor Hoffman, who created LSD. No wonder why this song is so trippy.

  • Haha dude whenever I'm playing Fallout 3 I always have a tool playlist to go along with it!

  • Haha. I used to loop this song on my 360 playing Fallout 3. Had to say it fit the game well.

  • @Psychowilly I did the same thing with Dead Space :)

  • Comment removed

  • breaching area 51 brought me here :) hi5!

  • This song syncs up perfectly with faaip di oiad.

Seriously it is crazy shit check it out.

  • It is rather curious, the way us humans act sometimes, isn't it?

How do you think a person would react, if they realized that all of the systems and processes around them, that felt like chains keeping them bound for their whole life, had been under their control the whole time?

These systems, they can only tell you that you are imprisoned, they rely on you to lock yourself into the cell.

  • Smoke weed, and listen to this song followed by Rosetta Stoned with some really good headphones and no lights. You will NOT be disappointed.

  • the doctors voice sounds like dr. chase from House

  • WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY CAR KEYS?

  • this song makes me think of someone on a stretch of road in the desert just free of life and on his own

  • @fliptop555 Yeah, I did too. The person on a stretch of road in the desert is me.

  • it makes me think of aliens and the supernatural but for some reason i cant find this song on itunes

  • @Motorhead289 uh why do you need to find it on itunes? you can download it with a youtube convertor.

  • @Motorhead289 this is an intro song to a song thats about some dude thats disappears at area 51

  • anyone notice that the word "analysing" can be "Analy-sing"

    my anus sings ?

currently trying to do a physics write up but tool is quite distracting

  • try listening to this song and to faaip de oiad at the same time... it will explain a lot to u...

  • @JaymzkgSerbia are u sure? please tell me more

  • @alexvnsc yeah, play those two songs at the same time.... and then listen to each one at the time and pay attention to the words... those two songs sing about same things... and after you've done that listen to rosetta stoned and pay attention to the words... it's pretty cool...

  • @JaymzkgSerbia shit ur absolutely right faip ends right as the nurse starts talking in lost keys and the base feedback from lost keys mixes perfectly with faip. very tripy thanks for pointing this out :D

  • I cry when i listen to this. Don't know why i cry but it just happens. I guess it tells you that everything is going to be okay at the end. Love.

  • @carbonstatekid singing helps the crying , it will be ok in the end ... LOVE_LOVE

  • DMT

  • @eltrono22 Exactly my friend.

  • HI5

  • this song kinda leaves me depressed, weird :(

  • Tool pwned Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee at the same time.

  • most under-rated tool song imo. my fav

  • I like to draw whenever I hear TOOL. Something about them just brings up the creativity in me & most of TOOL's fans.

  • I've been watching too much House. I totally thought this was Dr. Chase, until he said his name was Dr. Watson. Fail >_>

    VOTE PLIZ!

  • what a motherfucking fuck? O.o

  • LSD does have capabilities, DMT blows them out of the water in my opinion.

Word of advice, if you do DMT, don't stop smoking, smoke as much as you can, you wont regret it. Trust me.

  • @canthandlenoobs

My brother's roommate tried it once and he told me he couldn't keep smoking after his 3rd toke. He was on zion before he could even think about taking a 4th hit.

God... I need to find DMT and ease my way into oneness with this song as my guide.

How can something so simple be so magically beautiful

  • Trippy!

  • Area 51!

  • People really need to stop talking out of their asses.

I'm looking at you, TheJayTrain. Seriously shut the fuck up.

    Fantastic song btw.

  • Thankyou Tool , You guys make me feel not so alone...

  • w wędrówce do innego wymiaru

  • It's phenomenal to stand as a small speckle on the surface of the Earth, even moreso as a microscopic being in terms of the vastness of space, and to be able to literally watch the life force of organisms pulsate, as well as observing/watching the flow, absorbtion, containment, and exertion of energy before ones eyes. Staring at the universal blueprint that connects everything together in a myriad web. It's magical, and quite fascinating really.

  • @Hypermantrasoul Excellent comment.... Truly inspired and bang on the money. I for one have ventured into the other realm, undescribable for people who have not been. Trying to convey my experience to non-travellers, is comparable to explaining a visit to Disney World to bacteria. Great comment, great tune and big-up the breaching Area 51 grannies 5*.

  • @cobraworxshopz Haha isn't that the truth, explaining such journeys if you will, can be quite difficult.

  • @cobraworxshopz i like to watch you pseudo-mystics sniff each others arse and give each other hand jobs via youtube commenting (really, it turns me on) Im sure you've 'travelled' to many strange and hostile places.........................on world of warcraft. i dont think anyone proficient in astral travel would be bragging on youtube (or listening to anything tool did after about 2001 for that matter) hahahahaha

  • @lunarsiege LOL... I am so pleased illiminated people like myself turn unenlightened people like you on. My DMT experience in 1999 was a FULL-BREAKTHROUGH experience, I met the "God-Head" point of infinate singluarity, I met the blue multi-armed godess in the temple. During my experience I was transformed into a reptile/snake and later into an eagle/owl and was shown the City across the desert from the sky. 1/2

  • @cobraworxshopz Your fucked. get some help.

  • @Leaveatrailoflies BTW, jealousy will get you nowhere, ever heard of negative karma?

  • @cobraworxshopz I am not jealous, nor do i have negative karma. I just don't think that this is an other worldly encounter, more of a perception your brain has when under the influence of DMT. That's all i am really saying.

  • @Leaveatrailoflies Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. Reminds me of the old phrase "Don't knock it until you've tried it" springs to mind. I used to share your position, until I had the life changing experience that has left me permanently re-wired as a result. Even in my wildest dreams, I could not have possibly imagined what occurs in a full break-through experience. I can only add that the Egyptians were 100% correct, the Afterlife does exist and can be visited with the aid of DMT.

  • @cobraworxshopz funny how your comment on how good another comment was, was rated higher than the great comment you commented on.

  • @kenny8331 That's excellent, you put a smile on my face today, I might use your comment as my new signature.

    Peace,

    Cobraworxshopz

  • @cobraworxshopz our kind will never be erased, the seekers mind will understand in time with help from another kind like you but much higher on his logical myth busting powers lol, sounds to good to be true, realm and reality was made for great people to show amaizing things, some have failed to see it and have took them selves in a bad place, thats why historical creatures are known to the gods of creation, to make a difference for the reality to fit your realm like a puzzle or a riddle

  • @chriswilliamstool Our Universe & the "other side, matrix, inverse universe, afterlife experience", whatever it may be named, is an "actual" reality. Running in parallel with our own Universe. Holographically created, based on Fractle/iterative mathematics, chaos theory. Our "Binary Universe" is based around infinate fractle geometry and programming. "God" is the creator (zero-point of energy, programmer & computer/universe projector all in one). With the power to end it all one day?

    Peace.

  • @cobraworxshopz you are such a pompous ass.

  • @Hypermantrasoul dude you must be so stoned

  • I wonder what percentage of the world has actually allowed their consciousness to expand byond our "normal" realm, and into different, as well as higher ascended dimensions. Truly, how many people know what it's like to pierce through the algorithms of time, and to blast off into a hyper spatial continuum that is eternal and riddled with infinitie possbilities that allows for deep levels of ingression to explored, only to connect the dots and watch everything come to the center of a point......

  • @Hypermantrasoul By expand, do you mean LSD? That was a serious question...

  • @skrellman Well consciousness expansion can be attained whenever one so desires sober, or intoxicated by something which alters one's perceptions. But yes most hallucinogens bring on such expansion acutely, LSD does have such capabilities, my experience of conscious expansion as you read below was brought on by the effects of Liberty, Serentity, and Divinity so you would be correct. ;]

  • what album is this on?

  • @H1N1777 10,000 days

  • klasse nachvertonung für stanley kubricks weltraumklassiker!!!!

  • whats it like tripping to this song?

  • thumbs up if your here because you know someone who has lost their keys and is going to post this to Facebook to wind them up?

  • thumbs up if ur here because Ramon is your teacher!!

  • Comment removed

  • some drugs can make you see things from other dimensions.. that is what this song and Rosetta Stoned talks about, it is not a bad trip read between the lines.

  • Try listening to this song at the same time as Faaip De Oaid

    It will blow your mind!

  • @ninjakiwi6000 Haha your right! Amazing!

  • great song for comin off weed. Atm im feelin unexplanable. The voices make it.

  • This Gave me chills man!!!

  • Do not ever listen to it after smoking weed. EVER!

Things start to happen. Some serious shit....

  • THUMBS UP IF AREA 51 VIDEO SEND YOU HERE!!!!!

  • Only Pink Floyd gets better than this

  • @HalfLife4Life135 both great and both are different there is no comparing the two

  • it's impossible to listen to this without getting chills

  • drugs :)

  • This is one of those tracks that needn't have anything else added to it and it still brings tears to your eyes and sends chills ripping down your spine. The whole album blew my mind, and this song was the icing on the cake.

  • You guys lost your keys too? Some douchebags took mine and shoved them into their rectums.

  • this really sounds like the band God is an astronaut, but ofcourse this goes deeper

  • the doctor sounds like an aussie lol
