  • I'm such a fan!! I Live in Brazil but I'm always travelling and I buy a lot of make up! You are helping me so much!!! Can you make a video with some ideas for winter eyeshadows? Youuu ROCK! :)

  • ass holl

  • I am not afraid of color, I am afraid of the height of the color lol. I have wiped down the shadow to the crease, just so people wouldn't stare. People who do really good, vibrant make up look like clowns in a small town. Kids point etc etc. One of my favorites is yellow with bronze in the crease. But most of the color is a secret 'til I blink. That solves most of my small town redneck caused embarrassment.

  • Very informative!

  • You are such a joy to watch, your smile and energy just make me happy...as well as your bs-free videos, such a nice change from the usual "gurus.". You have convinced me to try the one eyeshadow that I adore but have been terrified of for the almost three years I've owned it. Thanks to you I am resolved to make MAC's Bitter my bitch! :)

  • *^*TUTORIAL REQUEST*^*: Eye color tutorial with a very neutral lid and brow with just a shock of color at the outer upper & lower corners near the lash-line? Hi Camille. Thank you for such informative tutorials I enjoy them so much I'm making a request. I saw this on someone & thought it was very pretty & a color look that I could wear at 35. I would appreciate it so much! *V*

  • I did something similar... i use to do like smokey eyes... brown or black and then add a little bit of color in the crease :D

  • helpful! thankyou!

i love bright colors, but i never have the guts to wear them. but i have this palette i got during the fall, and it has an emerald green, a navy blue, and a plum purple, and i dont know how to wear those dark, rich colors with my fair skin tone. any advice?

  • Short vid didn't help me that much

  • anybody tested Rimmel's latest range of products?? there very good i keep purchase more! you can get 100 percent free samples of makeup from "GratismakeupSamples". i the samples on 03/12/2010.

  • i feel like a retard asking this but is mac at target

  • @hiyamiley No. Hehe i ask stupid questions too! but i actually always really want to know the answer! You can buy it on the MAC website, they have MAC in macys and lots of big malls have a MAC. Hope it helps :)

  • @hiyamiley Thats not a stupid question. Mac is not in target but its in my mall. Also, try the website.

  • do KATY PERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great idea! I have a TON of beautiful colors in my e/s palettes, but always have stuck with neutrals, not knowing how to incorporate color without looking ridiculous. Great info!

  • Hey! :) This was so helpful! It really feels like you totally understand what I'm going through! :D Got a tiny lil question though, I'm a NC42 in Mac's Studio Perfect Foundation. Would you say I'm a medium or deep skintone? :D

  • Thank you so much!!! :)

  • You are so wonderful and beautiful and almost nobody here on YouTube give such wonderful tips that help so many of us, like the ones in this video. I do my make-up beautifully but always in the brown/neutrals, yes because I've always been afraid of color, well, not any more, with your help I am going to try different colors now. Thank you so much and keep up the wonderful work you do for us on your videos. Bye for now.

  • @beautymariely I love this comment so much! Your kind words really inspire me! Thank you! XOXOXXO

  • Thank you so much!!!!

  • I broke into color using olive green. It looks nice with my brown eyes.

  • thanks for this awesome tip =) I have that same bright color pallet and I've never used the bright colors out of the house. LOL! I will try this =)

  • aw, i love your videos so much. Your personality is amazing! <3

  • you are one of my favorite people to watch on youtube. i'm 23 and just starting to be interested in eyeshadows. i've always thought i couldn't wear eye shadows because i have monolids or just a little bit of a lid that's really hidden when i open my eyes. you really inspire me to try things out.

  • you helped me soo much :)

  • Yup, I admit it, I am afraid of color... even as an ex-cosmetologist I feel clumsy in color on myself. I do use a pale frosted pink, a forest green (like my eyes sometimes look in color) and a dull purple. But I put on something with a vibrant color and I do exactly what you talked about, I put it on and then wipe off before leaving the house. Even if people say I look young for my age, I still feel too old to wear the fun vibrant colors:) I wish you lived nearby I bet you could help me. lol

  • omg, It worked! i luv u! im making a video now but i still have to edit and upload it:) thank you so much!

I'm a beginner when it comes to applying makeup and thought it be safe if I 1st went with the neutral palette. What do you think? or is there a palette you recommend for someone who loves earthy colors. Also, do you have a video on what to add put on, like primers & foundation. Wats the difference and effects? or how many products do i use? thnx!!!

  • LMAO! I've missed you Camille! I have a pallette like that in my "what was I thinking drawer"! and I love it, but am not creative like you gurus! Lol However, I did buy a Dollar Store pallette of blue and pink, and put that on, and got a compliment from a young cashier (I'm 52 and a half, lol) and I was so proud of myself cuz I had never worn colors like that before! I am fairly new to this eyeshadow thing, and look forward to all your tutorials. You always make me smile! God bless! xo

  • I have my 120 palette and don't know what bright color to match with other bright color.. so i only use the purple, brown, and black. I barely use green, orange, pink, and etc. Can you do more tutorials with the 120 eyeshadow palette?

  • Awesome video. I use to be afraid of color myself. But. I'm ok now. :0)

  • Hey, just wanted to let you know that I like your videos!

But I don't think bright pink would work for me as I have natural red hair, wouldn't that clash horribly?

  • I still don't think that this would work for me, I'm a typical redhead, pale skin, blue eyes the works...I wish I could go with fun colors but being a ginger the only colors that I can do is brown. =/

  • @PeaceNdLovee thats not true! most colors look better on gingers (im a ginger too), than other people.

  • I am EXTREMELY terrified of using too much eyeshadow to make me look like a clown so I just like using some BRIGHT, FUN, colors as eye liner. :]

  • yeah ive seen this before....

  • Your really fantastic! I recently sub to your videos! You're a real inspiration and not stuck up...i love that!

  • @SdotRenee Wow! Your a Sweetheart! <333333 TY! xoxoxoox

  • I tried to take out a color I never used... Electic Eel... with my brown... Coquette... this just might be the one color I cannot figure out. The only time I use it is as an eyeliner with brown or grey eyeshadows but that's rarely. I've had it for so long that I wanna just get rid of it but it's technically the first eyeshadow I baught from MAC so I feel like I have to use it or at least try!! lol, any suggestions?

  • @Kristi4t3 Coquette is a Great Color & So is Electric Eel , to make them work together you will need to add a black shadow in the deep crease between the coquette & the eel really thin line of it then buff it into the crease that should work! xoxoxo

    .

  • soo funny, I was thinking about you last night, saying "what happened to TalkinMakeUp" good to see you again!

  • @b1zmyi34 Aww your a doll!!! xoxoxoxo

  • This video sounds familiar to me.... did you re-upload this vid? =D Anyway thumbs up! Love your back! =D

  • Is this a reupload? I feel like I've seen this video.

  • I just started doin this last week with my satin taupe eyeshadow!! Now I'm wearing my aquadisiac e/s more often!!! Another thing I've started doing is doing a light wash over the whole eyelid with something like retrospeck and then putting a bright colour in the outer corner and building it up until I'm happy with it dragging it a little into the crease, it's not "in your face" colour but gives nice flashes of colour when you blink!!

  • @silverviolette I Love that its Awesome to hear your wearing your colors more xoxoxoo

  • Good video. I just wish we could see your hand better and how you pack color on and blend.

  • YAY camille! you're back :) i missed your vidss. this is awesome, cause I ALWAYS have this problem where I wake up, put on my makeup with a bright color. then wipe it off and put on like a light gold shadow or something haahha but now i'm determined to wear bright shadows! :) thanks!

  • I'm a little older like 43, but I have really great skin and no wrinkles. Can I still wear color? I'm dying to try some color. I love makeup and use to wear it when I was younger. I have tons of it to. I have the neutral, 88 ultra shimmer, 120 MAC, the 42 double stack and a no name 56. That doesnt include all of my hip and this and that. I'm a very fair skin african american woman with olive skin tone. Pleas help!!!!!

  • @missbettymarie Hell yeah you can wear color if your skin is in Great Condition do it up! xoxoxoxo

  • I have seen this video before too.

  • I really enjoy your videos. they are so informative and i really appreciate it. I hope you continue to make them. Thanks!!!:)

  • i think this is a reupload and i remember the first time i saw this i was like oh i am so going to transition to colour yet here i am sitting in my earhty smoky eye i could never buy the 88 palette id use like 2 of the colours ive tried to mix the colour with nuetral but im paranoid ha!

  • I recently discover your channel, and I love it. Keep em' coming!

I love that you give really good advice, that you are very humble and willing to learn from others and that you have this incredible never give up attitude (from your how to be a make up artist vid).

I'm fast becoming your avid supporter. ^ 6

Will definitely try to pair brown with my late night play mates e/s (bright colors e/s that I applying and then wiping off and wash up for the night) : P.

  • @ivmeonly Hey Girl! Thank you! that means alot to me! xoxoxoxo

  • How do you avoid looking stoned with pinks or purples? LOL I know that sounds silly but sometimes I feel like I look stoned or someone punched me in the eye with certain purple/pink/reds. I am such a color wuss...I wash browns or ivory over colors to mute them even further. And how do you pick the right blue that flatters?(i have dark brown eyes w/gold green flecks, lightest N skin, N brown hair m.darkness)

  • @TheBeautyofVanity lol I just said that to someone the other day that everyone can wear a true purple, but when pink doesn't favor you it can look like you have pink eye lol or blue make some ppl look like they are buised lol Try Steamy Eyeshadow from mac xoxoxo

  • I am loving COLOR, I stepped out of the Brown and bronze zoe ..But I blend and mix and match like whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...I LOVE COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate pink..lol

  • Your awesome.Love your videos.

  • this is a great video! i used to be so scared of using color until i realized that you can mute it with neutrals haha its such a simple concept that u'd think id have known forever haha

  • I just recently started wearing color, With me being a black female I didn't want to take a chance . And yes I was one of those that brought all kinds of colors and just played with it. I actually threw a lot away.

  • You are soo right about the use of brown. You're like the RachelRay of makeup.i feel like I've known you all my life. Down to earth, informative, and charismatic. Video response coming...

  • I was only thinking last night that you hadnt been on here for ages. I MISSED YOU!!!!

  • you really helped :D

    thumbs up :)

  • Gah, this is going to be so embarassing. What do you feel about super bright makeup? Like pairing bright colors together? For ex bright blue with royal blue with gold? Or bright blue with a lighter bright blue with green all around the edge? I'm starting to be insecure about the wearableness (?) of it all. I hardly ever pair brights with neutrals, highlight doesn't count.

  • @LuvMeJoice I know you weren't talking to me BUT, Personally I feel there's nothing wrong with bright colors as long as you're wearing them right. That means... blending them right, pairing them with the right kind of lip ect. So if you do a crazy bright eye don't do a crazy bright lip. That's how I feel about it anyways. I'm a bright color person, I LOVE my bright eyeshadows. And 'wearableness' is opinionated. Wear what you want, not what somebody else feels is 'okay' to wear. :)

  • @MommyNeva Thank you so much :) You're right, as long as I don't go overboard and I blend, it's okay :) Just seeing mostly neutrals everywhere, especially at college, puts me off a bit :)

  • @LuvMeJoice I understand. I go to a BEAUTY SCHOOL, and I am one of only 2 girls that wears bright colors on a daily bases. The funny thing is though, is that I've had a LOT of women and girls outside of school and inside school approach me and say 'I'd love to wear bright colors like that but I'm always afraid....'. A lot of women want to wear those colors. I think it's amazing for my confidence, I always feel a DIVA in my bold colors, the same way I would with a red lip on. Be yourself. :)

  • The angle is not the only terrible thing in this video.

  • I love this :) I just have one problem - how do u blend eyeshadow??? I have tons of eyeshadows but I can't blend them :( Please help!! xx

  • @GillyL101 are you getting the sharp line above the crease problem? in order to blend properly, you need to blend 2 colors together, it doesen't fade well into the skin, so for your brow highlight, to look natural, use more face powder to blend out the shadow, other than that, get a fluffy brush, about the size of the tip of your thumb or middle finger, and run it back and forth along the line between the colors, it will blend them without making them muddy. Hope that helps =^.^=
