And yes, I agree that even in the death overs, he didn't bowl well but that was just one match. Look at Umar Gul overall. Ever since 2007, he's got a lot more stronger and fitter. He's build up muscles and pace and of course a lot more accuracy, abilities and consistency.

I follow the Australian State cricket pretty closely, obviously being from Australia, and Umar Gul signed a contract with WA for the 'KFC T/20 Big Bash' which is our T/20 comp. He picked up 4 - 15 off 4 overs in his first game, and continued to take wickets at minor cost, he ended up with around 8 wickets after 5 games at an average of about 15, and an economy of around 7. He executes his yorkers and bouncers extremely well, and that's what makes him such a good bowler, in all forms.

Umar Gul is an absolutely great limited overs bowlers. Too bad he hasn't had the opportunity to show his talent in Tests cricket. His bouncer and yorker are top class but he some times has trouble with control over his line. Has a tendency to bowl too short. but he will improve with experience. he's done well carrying our bowling on his shoulder with the absence of Asif and Akhtar.
