Well it's good. I gets better when the harmonies are coming and you add vibrato for right atmosphere. For the intro u could try to sing unison 2-3 voices to fatten it up. Good vocal work. I am sure there are people who wish they could do this:) ...
Enjoyed your version of a Temptation Classic. Just a Note. The only thing perfect is The Love of God. There was only One Melvin"Blue" Franklin. And I dont thinkn you were trying to be Him. Keep up the GOOD WORK and let us all enjoy the fealings you show "The Natural Soul" through your music. Let the computers keep perfect pitch, perfect timing. The slight imperfections to me is what makes it real, makets it natural. No offence intended to any one..
No offense intended, I just have to say though that the vocals were not spot on and only one person is saying that the pitch was off? Also, the song has different tempos within it, and this "rendition" had a timing problem from the beginning verse to the first chorus. Only then did the timing correct (?) itself. In some places the vocals were together, so much so that a vocal harmonizer seems to be the only explanation, and to avoid that, the singer decided to make minor changes to some vocals.
@blutabu I must admit that it's a little bit out of tempo and the pitch is off sometimes. It's really hard to sing five voices, even if they do not reach what I expect. I can assure you i did not have to use any kind of harmonizer, even because, IMHO, it would sound much worse if I had. I'm planning to record a new version of this rendition, and I hope it sounds better than this one.
@sxysinfield Boy you need some help! I am talking about this version of the song. I have, meaning I own a copy of the live performance by THE TEMPTATIONS and this IS NOT THEM. My comments are focused on the person responsible for this intended tribute to the ORIGINAL LIVE RECORDING. And also, if you have been to any shows that the artist was tired after singing a few songs, I would demand my money back. No professional singer would appear tired until they are off the stage. Listen and learn.
@sxysinfield Neither. I am just a vocalist that finds it interesting that someone can comment on a song by ONE PERSON, and think that, that ONE PERSON is actually a group. I gave my honest opinion about this tribute to the actual artists. However, you have proven yourself to be someone that knows absolutely nothing about vocal work. And this is recorded, you probably thought Milli Vanilli was great at singing onstage. Say it with me folks...brain donor. Tough talk on a computer, sxysinfield. LOL
@theoneandonlyJB17 Hey, thanks! It's a pleasure for me to know that people really enjoy my work! I'm planning to record a new version of this song, with some improvements. Once again, thank you very much!
It's sounds nice, but I strongly recommend you to add "multitrack" to your video title and tags. Otherwise many people interested in video like this one will miss it!
@billthechief Hey, thanks for the comment! It's a real pleasure to know that people who are close to the tempts are listening to my work! I really appreciate that! By the way, you are right: this was NOT Blue, and neither could it be! Blue was amazing, one of the greatest bass singer of all time.
This guy is singing with a lisps,David never sang like that! and any true Temptation fan would know that without a doubt!! unless they are the younger 3 or 4th generatiom fan ,but it's okay! your mistaken this for the tempts is not okay ! but true fans and myself forgive you, we understand, but the next time you listen to a tempts song, hear the high quailty vocals! and from that point on, thier sound will be Unmistakeable!!! you'll never be fooled again, never!!
I like this tune for the haunting sound created by bass baritones like William Warfield and Paul Robeson. It's amazing to hear their powerful voices belt it out. I think it says a lot, then, that I like this rendition. These fellas had talent!
PlayaJ360, i must confess that between these 4 songs you mentioned, 3 of them are my top favorites (My Girl, Don't Look Back - god bless Paul Williams - and It's Growing). I'll try to find a good way to rearrange these songs to A Capella style. You know, it takes time.. and thank you very much for the comment!
Here we all work 'long the Mississippi Here we all work while the white folk play Pullin' them boats from the dawn till sunset Gettin' no rest till the judgment day Let me go 'way from the Mississippi Let me go 'way from the white man boss Show me that stream called the River Jordan That's the old stream that I long to cross Ol' Man River, that Ol' Man River He must know somepin', but he don't say nothin' He just keeps rollin', he keeps on rollin' along
Thank you very much, tCrOMez1990! But you see, I am FAR from being compared to them. If I could sing half as Paul Willians could.. man.. I wouldn't do another thing..
did this on sonar, huh? nice
