  • "this is the last time"

  • As most MAD TV sketches were - this was totally unfunny.

  • Among the big 4 of the main cast, only the lady who played Melanie is still alive. Ironic since her character was the only one among the main 4 to die.

  • hello my name is brianan eggcorn and i play slave girl number 8 in the movie

  • lol when Rhett takes off , harry potter - style... hilarious ! and loved the penguin

  • Why do people feel it necessary to tell us they remember watching something on TV or seeing a movie when they were children. Who cares? My favorite frivolous comments involve such baloney as, "I watched The Exorcist on TV when I was 2 years old and it didn't scare me."

  • LOL I remember watching that when I was little.

  • FLIPPITY FLOOPITY DEY IS ALL DEAD!

  • 3:26 "this is the last time " : )

  • 1:48 "The test audience din't like that ending at al"l > No Shit

  • Haha Joe Pesci in the first alt. ending

  • Wow I could see the LOVE IN THIS RELATIONSHIP!........XD...OH NO it like High school musical but worst!

  • slave girl number 8 best characther ever hehe xD

  • I love this show

  • 1:36 Owned lol

  • They should've sticked with the musical ending XD

  • He flew off on a broom! LMAO.

  • 11 People didn't give a damn.

  • is that lisa nova?

  • That first alternate ending is in a way simply the 1939 ending translated into modern language and gestures! At the time, the word "damn" was considered too vulgar for film, and only after long discussion was it finally decided to leave the classic line from the novel unchanged.

  • "Cos fleepidy-floopidy, 'dey all deeead!" HAHAHAHAHAH!

  • Follow your dreams

  • you gotta love nicole parker

  • Was that Michael Rapaport playing Rhett?

  • I love the Dancing and Singing part

  • Olivia de Havilland and Ann Rutherford are both still alive.

  • The musical ending made me almost pee myself!

  • really... slave voice again... it's really starting to o get degrading

  • frankly my dear i dont GIVE A DAMNNNN

  • The first one was funny as hell

  • This alone makes me regret that I didn't "give a damn" about Wicked, let alone go see it. What would it be like to see Nicole on stage as the Witch. Holy shit..

    And I hate theater.

  • she looks like the black modern version of the tin man with clothes

  • haha

    this was hilarious

  • Olivia de Havilland is still alive isn't she?

  • This is my favorite movie of all time and I think Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable were absolutely incredible in their roles, but this is the funniest parody for GWTW that I have ever seen. Especially the song! I must admit, though, I don't get why Abe Lincoln is holding a penguin o.o

  • Olivia de Havilland is still alive, actually.

  • Yep, and she lives in Paris. Isn't she working on a biography or something?

  • "Because flippity floopity they's all dead!" LMAO.

  • I had laughed my ass off when they played the musical version of give a damn

  • LOL!!! "Oogily Boogily!" Haha! They are CRAZY! The 2nd was teh best XD

  • Lordy Lordy

  • 3:34-LOL! Victor Flemig Directed both movies.

  • They also came out the same year

  • True.

  • Also the girl in this played dorothy in the Wizard of Oz satire.

  • Micheal Rappaport sucks

  • I am laughing bad, esspecially at that last ending and the slave voice.

  • I liked how it's supposed to be Robert De Niro as Rhett Butler. But tears were streaming from laughing at the last outrageous alternate ending. It really came out of left field.

  • god danm it! hahahahaha I Lovee the slave voice! xD hahaha this totally better that the original movie I dont know why! xD the best ending... with the song !! xD by the way my name its for that character from the book of Gone with the Wind =)

  • Lucky! Your name is Scarlett, that's so pretty.

  • I would have totally seen an ending with Scarlett falling down the stairs. xD I don't know why, but those just seem like the type of stairs you trip on a lot.

  • i know! That's what I was thinking when I saw the title. This was hilarious though. lol

  • Well she does take a tumble down them in the real movie. That's how she loses her second child. She tried to hit Rhett, fell, and lost the baby.

  • lmao "screw you scarlett"

  • im black and i like gone with the wind it was a good movie despite the portrayl of blacks and this vid cracks me up

  • Yea, the portrayal of them was pretty offensive, especially with Prissy. But Mammy was a strong character. She had brains, and she spoke her mind.

  • is that michael rappaport? he's a damn good actor

  • He was president at that time...

  • lol, thanks but i do understand why he's there lol.

and actually he wasn't btw. GWTW goes on for several years after the civil war ended. lincoln was killed in 1865, that's just the beginning of act two in GWTW.

i don't understand why my comment got mad thumbs down. i get it- it's absurd humour, i'm not stupid. i was just commenting on how random it looks, he came out of nowhere, first of all, and he has a talking penguin like.. a "wtf" is not out of line...

    shit, people need to chill

  • Oh, I misunderstood you. I thought you didn't know why he was there. I wasn't trying to be rude though. I don't see why a thumbs down on your comment is necessary either. I didn't put one :P But he was President during the GWTW time. In one scene Scarlett even mentions him. He wasn't president for the entire movie, just the early part.

  • don't worry. i know you were honestly trying to clarify things for me. i didn't think you were being rude ;) thank you

the second part of my rant thingy was not directed at you.

yeah, the scene you're thinking of is at the bazaar in atlanta when she jokes that she wouldn't mind dancing with abe lincoln himself.

  • Oh, alright just making sure :)

Yea, that part and in the beginning when Charles tells Scarlett: "Mr. Lincoln has just called out for soldiers" or something along those lines.

  • oogley boogley... hehehehe. I liked it, and dont you go following me to charlston you dumb douchebag. HAHA

  • lmao licoln and the penguin!!!!

  • "follow your dreams"

    Lmfao

  • Did you know that GWTW actually didn't have any deleted scenes? It was never shortened, and the only scenes that aren't in the movie were never filmed. :)

  • Actually the script was changed hundreds of times and different scenes were added, edited, or taken away but what they filmed was the final version and that's it. They had deleted scenes but they weren't filmed.

  • Hahaha, great video!!! :D

  • LOL THE LAST ONE XDDDDDD

  • Love that black lady!!!!

''No siree, they sure didn't! Lawdy! Lawdy!''

  • the black lady was the funniest part of this vid. hahaha it was pretty racist. i'd say gwtw is a great movie if it werent for the whole 'slave' thing. that irks me.

  • would you rather they leave that part out? i mean, it was accurate, even the part where the slaves helped the south fight against the yankees

  • yeah it wouldn't be right if they left that part out, but its still not a feelgood movie cause of that happening.

  • lol i love the song

  • lordy lordy : )

  • Dahmn!!! I wish This was the original ending!!1

    Funny as hell!

    O lawdy

    :-D

  • Well. He definitely didn't give a damn. xD

  • He certainly doesn't give a damn.

  • LOOOOOOOOOL! one of my favs!

    MadTV FTW!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic.

  • BOOPTY BOP DOO DEE DO THEYS ALL DEAD! lol

  • Lol.

  • slavegirl #8 love that

  • When i first saw this, i laughed my head off

  • really cause i laughed my ass off the first time i saw this

  • "Its getting a little degrading." best line

  • ''No siree. They sure didn't! Lordy, Lordy!'' God, I love that part!

  • i love the second one. I COULD GIVE A FUCK. quit your fuckin crying!

i love the final FUCK YOU

    amazing!

  • funny but she cant run faST DOWN THE STAIRS LIKE VIVIEN LEIGH DID!

  • True! Vivien Leigh was a pro when it came to running up and down stairs in those puffy dresses!

  • That seems like something I would do if I was Rhett xD

  • LMAO. I love this. So amusing. I also agree with the poster below.

  • That was fantastic! Very funny!

Does anyone have a clip of the MadTV Alternate ending to The Sound of Music? It used to be up here and it was the best! I remember it being one of the funniest things I've ever seen! Would love to see it again!! :D:D

    Thanks for posting this! :D

  • I want that too!!!! it was the funniest. Leisl, use your laser eyes!!!

  • hahaha very funny!! Scarlett is soooo annoying!!

  • Can't say that I blame him, after all the crap she put him through. Not that he was perfect, mind you.

  • The part with Rhett cursing and insulting Scarlett O'Hara was very funny!
