@3dgDuDe6t4 I dont know what Amp he uses but i use a Spider III by Line 6. It is AWESOME. It is pretty big but and can be extremely loud if you want to piss off your parents like i do. It is 15 watts with an 8 inch speaker.
@hasko1197 ok i'll have that in mind, but ive heard of those marshall amps with the built in mixer that i would rather get. Does yours have it built in or do u have a seperate mixer, cause yours does sound cool.
@StickYproductionzz If the strings are in tune then it sounds like a technical or set up problem. Are the strings hitting the fret bars when they vibrate? Sorry can't be of much help with that without actually seeing it.
Are you playing a Floyd Rose? I had the same problem, the strings are too long, check if your strings are close to the pickups, I put mine all the way in so the strings got shorter, and that fixed it. ALSO, if you have a FR, make sure that it's flat against the guitar top, if its tilted then you have to adjust the screws for the springs.. GL!
@StickYproductionzz Could be reverb as well? :P Probably not, but when I play with reverb on my amp, the sound doesnt stop the moment you mute it. It does when you play without, though, like here.
@StickYproductionzz Google "how to raise the action on a *insert your guitar here*" and do that, the action is basically how high up the strings are from the frets. You'll only need to raise it on the side with your high strings. Afterwards you might need to set your intonation too, google that if you want to do it yourself or take it into a shop. It'll be a good thing to learn how to do both though.
perfect...but one note...one little note doesnt match...other than that...this was LEGEN wait for it, and i hope your not lactose intolorant...because the second half of that word is DARY! :0
@jtodd900 I agree, but you do get something wrong in the riff. Maybe you are playing an 8 since you don't move your middle finger at all after hitting the 1st 7 and let go of it after the 2nd 8. I also tryed the way you are going, but it's much easyer to play it the old fashion way: press each fret one at a time. Look at my cover of Animal I Have Become and you'll see what I'm talking about.
@TheBoJangles100 Have you even tried it in drop C? play drop D then play along with the song drop C and you will see that C definitely matches the tone more accurately. Sure some of the official tab books might be wrong here or there but this drop C. All the best covers of this song on youtube are using drop C as well...like user HeadShotnl
@jtodd900 BUT it's a mix. It's Drop C + Drop D. So first do a drop D and then a whole step tunned down. I tryed it when I was at my friends house and it matched EXACTLY like the original song.
@LyricsForTheFans I don't think so. Play along with both drop d and drop c. I think drop c matches better. Plus their official tab book says it's drop c.
@kisame4ever98 I use downloaded tones on my PODxt Live pedal and don't use an amp, I don't think they will be the same on your amp but they are Drive-4, bass-7, mid-3, treb-4, gain-5, presence-4. Let me know how it sounds. And if you like my vids and are learning from them you should have already subscribed ;)
the fucked up thing with me is that i can perfectly play the song, but i cant tune my guitar to drop C, guitar same as yours just in black colour, my tuner just tunes the normal one :(
@kisame4ever98 Man, do yourself a favor and get a chromatic tuner. Korg makes one that is about $20. You can tune to drop C by ear but it is a lot of steps to do it. Plus once you get the top tuned, by the time you get to lower lower strings the top are slightly out of tune again. Just do google search for how to tune to drop c by ear. I found a couple sites but it wouldn't let me paste them in the box.
@kisame4ever98 There are also online tuners where you just match the sound to the sound on the computer. But again I don't think you get a real acurate tuning like with a real tuner. But it is better than no tuner I guess.
@dragosandrei I posted this cover in Drop D first but then bought their tab book and saw it said Drop C. After trying it in drop C it was clearly a better match. The book is right -- it is drop C
@jtodd900 kool ive been pratcin for like 3 months now almost done learninn never too late and master what ive done both parts i hope to bbe as good as you in a year
@bubbajoe165 Actually Drop B is the next popular lower tuning (ex Chevelle) which is another half step down from Drop C. Then one more full step down is Drop A. You have to have the correct set up and very thick strings though to even attempt it. I only have 10's and I can somewhat get away with Drop B but I have never bothered to try drop A with my set up.
Nice cover :) I usually play it in drop D, I'll try drop C it sounds pretty cool. If you want check out my cover, I'm trying to get more opinions on if it sounds like the studio (or live) version.
@WillSmithCleanRap .. ok like those little lines ------------- mean a string they are always put from low e to high e

b
g
d
a
e then the numbers represent a fret on that string like count ur frets and play the number that it says on the string it says, and for the 0's that means an open note which is just hit the string with no fret.. and the / means slide to slide from a certain fret to another..and yea most tab cites will tell you what each symbol means.. hope this helps..
that part at the end you call the number 2 part, to me i don't think its supposed to be any higher; I just switch to the bridge pickup(treble) instead of the neck(rythem) and it sounds perfect.
Pretty good but you didn't play the chorus at 2:50 and ends at 2:57...Is that 2nd guitar? because I always play it with that...but that's just me..overall great cover though subbed...

@gamervanboxmeer July 2008 I was only playing a few months at that point. I sure wouldn't say awful but yeah could be better. The tabs are right so you can do a vid and post a response to show how it's done. Or you could try to beat box to it.

When you're playing the riff in drop C it's
------8------
7-8-----8-7
Don't hit a 7 where the 8 should be on the higher c.
zdefinexnormal 1 year ago
@zdefinexnormal It is a 7 definitely not an 8. These tabs are straight from their tab book and you can hear that 8 is wrong for sure.

@jtodd900 Yeah, my bad. It is a seven. Just your c sounds like it needs to be tuned or something.

@gamervanboxmeer July 2008 I was only playing a few months at that point. I sure wouldn't say awful but yeah could be better. The tabs are right so you can do a vid and post a response to show how it's done. Or you could try to beat box to it.
