@3dgDuDe6t4 I dont know what Amp he uses but i use a Spider III by Line 6. It is AWESOME. It is pretty big but and can be extremely loud if you want to piss off your parents like i do. It is 15 watts with an 8 inch speaker.

@StickYproductionzz If the strings are in tune then it sounds like a technical or set up problem. Are the strings hitting the fret bars when they vibrate? Sorry can't be of much help with that without actually seeing it.

Are you playing a Floyd Rose? I had the same problem, the strings are too long, check if your strings are close to the pickups, I put mine all the way in so the strings got shorter, and that fixed it. ALSO, if you have a FR, make sure that it's flat against the guitar top, if its tilted then you have to adjust the screws for the springs.. GL!

@StickYproductionzz Could be reverb as well? :P Probably not, but when I play with reverb on my amp, the sound doesnt stop the moment you mute it. It does when you play without, though, like here.

@StickYproductionzz Google "how to raise the action on a *insert your guitar here*" and do that, the action is basically how high up the strings are from the frets. You'll only need to raise it on the side with your high strings. Afterwards you might need to set your intonation too, google that if you want to do it yourself or take it into a shop. It'll be a good thing to learn how to do both though.

@jtodd900 I agree, but you do get something wrong in the riff. Maybe you are playing an 8 since you don't move your middle finger at all after hitting the 1st 7 and let go of it after the 2nd 8. I also tryed the way you are going, but it's much easyer to play it the old fashion way: press each fret one at a time. Look at my cover of Animal I Have Become and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Sure some of the official tab books might be wrong here or there but this drop C. All the best covers of this song on youtube are using drop C as well...like user HeadShotnl

@kisame4ever98 I use downloaded tones on my PODxt Live pedal and don't use an amp, I don't think they will be the same on your amp but they are Drive-4, bass-7, mid-3, treb-4, gain-5, presence-4. @kisame4ever98 Man, do yourself a favor and get a chromatic tuner. Korg makes one that is about $20. You can tune to drop C by ear but it is a lot of steps to do it. Plus once you get the top tuned, by the time you get to lower lower strings the top are slightly out of tune again. Just do google search for how to tune to drop c by ear. I found a couple sites but it wouldn't let me paste them in the box.

@bubbajoe165 Actually Drop B is the next popular lower tuning (ex Chevelle) which is another half step down from Drop C. Then one more full step down is Drop A. You have to have the correct set up and very thick strings though to even attempt it. I only have 10's and I can somewhat get away with Drop B but I have never bothered to try drop A with my set up.

e then the numbers represent a fret on that string like count ur frets and play the number that it says on the string it says, and for the 0's that means an open note which is just hit the string with no fret.. and the / means slide to slide from a certain fret to another..and yea most tab cites will tell you what each symbol means.. hope this helps..

@heartagram720 Sure it still sounds good but if you play along with the song in drop D and then in drop C, I noticed right away that C matched the tone exactly in my opinion. Their tab book says it's drop C too. Of course they use different equipment so I can't match everything 100%.
