agreed. you can tell these guys just baught em with out any regard..I wonder if he even looked at the box when it said (level 5 driving skill). not level -1
dude what tires where u using? im using the stock anaconda tires and it just spins out i cant get it to wheelie... even if i get going and get on it it will spin before it pulls the front wheels up
These things are close to $600 easily. Cheapest you can go is like 300 for completely different trucks or cars. Not to mention all the required accessories. It is a very expensive hobby
Nitros do rock. Hoping to drive mine for the first time this season today maybe ill get a couple crash shots up. The rc10 is mine the jato isn't. I removed my previous comment to not be such a hater.
sweet post. reminds me of the first time i took my jato out! enjoy it man, i am about 700 dollars into my jato and its everything i wished it would be. throw some pro-line moabs on it and tear it up offroad for your next video!
Man, i don't know what to get when looking at these. I thought I would finally make the upgrade to nitro and I like to stick to Traxxas but the Revo and Jato are such nice cars. I'll work it out on my own but I'm sure some day you will see some vids up of whichever one i choose running too rich or too lean or at too higher idle. In that case, I think I'll count on youtube to direct me to a well ran motor!!
You wish. I don't have the jato I have the RC10 and since the camera is mine, I'm not in the videos. You may be able to smoke these guys, but I've got work for you.
I think it just sounds high. The car doesn't move or anything at idle. Plus, the Jato's were brand new in these videos, and the guys driving them were just learning how to tune them.
You wish. I don't have the jato I have the RC10 and since the camera is mine, I'm not in the videos. You may be able to smoke these guys, but I've got work for you.
ha ha funny story when my jato went over a drop and i busted the a arm then i glued it when i got home and never told my dad cause he wouldnt have toke me to the race track well i guess thats not that funny butyou get the point i think traxxis is better then hpi too i also have a savage25 and its pritty sweet but dosent go that fast
to windexglass -- believe me the savage is way better than the jato,to start with it's stronger and handles the off road surface a lot,lot better, speed isn't everything.power and speed are no good if the jato's on it's roof all the time
hey thanks heaps for the advice. but wen u say "tune" wat does this mean. is it just adjusting things or what. and does th jato spin out around corners or is the handling good. Also wats bugging me is can this go off big jmps and sand hills and stuff or wil it break
The actual carburator needs to be tuned each time you drive the car otehrwise it is too lean or rich and the car will not drive or perform well. It flips over when you turn. It rarely slides out. The car sliding is my RC10GT. Most stadium trucks jump pretty good. Just don't try to kill it.
hey im new to the r/c scene and i have neva driven one. al my friends have TRAXXES cars so i thought i might get into it and i wna smoke em so for a beginner do u think i shuld just get the best or work my way up?
I would suggest starting off slow. The jato is definitely the fastest there is. It is extremely hard to drive. If you have never ever driven any RC car, I would suggest getting something a little slower and cheaper from traxxas. I say this not just cause of the speed, but because of the difficulty level of keeping the jato running properly. It needs to be tuned each day you drive it. A highspeed crash is inevitable for beginners and the jato has lots of parts. Get a nitro rustler.
if yall want somethin FAST.....get the new RUSTLER VXL.....& an 11.1v lipo battery....holy shit....my rustler eatssssss jatos....its way faster, & reaction time is EXCELLENT. and the best thing is i dont gotta tune it! i jus plug n ride. that batt. lasts a while too.
IT is amazing. I can't believe the performance out of the box. MY only comlaint is how it never holds a tune. It needs to be retuned every time I drive. Not every tank, but every different day, when my RC10GT with an OS motor I haven't touched the needle in years. Only once in a while to lean it out to try and kep up with the jatos. LOL
The revo is 4wd monster truck. Heavier truck with a lot more drag due to the 4wd system.. Same motor, less weight, and less loss through drivetrain results in a way faster vehicle..
Its ridiculously fast and rugged. It is very difficult sometimes with tuning. It needs to be retuned for just about any weather changes. We only run em on the street or grass, so I really can't say much for jumping, but the car is sick all around
boring
bravodeltakilo360 6 months ago
the only thing that sucks about the jato is if that wind catches it under the car its a goner!

thats why they give you a cover

A word of advise when doing wheelies, If you want more wheelies that can do it on demand, Then have a properly tuned motor.
TenaciousChoice 2 years ago
I agree with you
chrismax01 2 years ago
Shut up kid, you can have a fine tuned engine, but it counts on your gearing DUR !

Awesome post. Go nitro and never look back brother! Nothing better than burning gas and turning 30,000 RPM's.
chiefsmokedawg 4 years ago
More like he needs to richen it out. That thing is being starved of fuel and you can tell by the way it sounds "fluttery" at idle and under power.
Tboninator 4 years ago
You need to lean that thing out a little

the jatos on its roof all the time because of poor throttal control and the 2w drive systmem. throttal controll is evry thing.

redsteal92 4 years ago
The jato is way better. The rustler is an entry level RC.
