  • I like the comic better

  • They had an interesting idea but destroyed it with bad CGI and the typical 'clean' modern scifi look. The fact that they basically spoiled the complete plot with this trailer certainly won't help much. Disappointing!

  • anybody notice the little apple logo in the bottom right hand side ?

  • SPOILER!

If every surrogate disconnects in the end, every nuclear powerplant would be unmanned and explode, the world would be fucked, Good Job Willis

  • @illeistheshizzle

Dude, I get what your saying, but come on: it's a movie. Most sci-fi films you have to throw logic out the window.

  • Watching this in my English class! So awesome!!!!!

  • somebody please tell me why the idea for the movie was so great, but executed so freaking poorly.

  • @clarachang94 Because it's based on a really good comic book, and instead of sticking to the source material, they decided a dumb action movie would suit it more....

  • @clarachang94 because all movies that contains Illuminati messages are made crappy

  • This would be heaven for ugly people.

  • I bet everybody made themselves with a 12 inch dick.

  • @whowantsabighug with two 12 inch dicks! >:D

  • very ok sci fi moovie, there is a science ficiton blog on the net : suro invasion

    that started as a novel

  • what an amazing premise for a film... WHY HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS MOVIE!?

  • yet another ''ROBOTS TAKEING OVER THE WORLDS'' movie.. kinda lame

  • in the part where everyone goes off line, there's like one mexican looking guy who blinks.

  • facebook,twitter,count me out.

  • this movie is sooo underrated....

  • Trilha Sonora Desse Filme é feita Por Breaking Benjamin, uma banda Muiiito Massa

  • The trailer tells too much, i dont even wanna see the movie anymore..

  • Where can i watch it free?

  • @anannNeTrOn omfg this site works, thank you so much, all other websites i tried require cell phone number or filling surveys lol thanks

  • x.x isn't this like irobot only with people faces for robots x.x

  • How do you all not know we are not surrogates? hmm?

  • @TigerMilitia Well our bodies are. We have been taught and conditioned from birth to believe we are these bodies but we're not trust me. Your comment seems to stand out from the rest which makes me believe you think outside of the box :)

  • @amaolud78

    Glad someone noticed :)

I believe you. I keep thinking about deep meaningful things and every time i do it feels like my brain is "lifting" or "rebooting" as if it is far to early to know the truth.

  • @TigerMilitia If you really want to know the truth start with how the brain works in depth. There is plenty of info about the body online. Then move on to awareness and consciousness in the brain. Learn about sleep and dreams, mainly lucid dreams. Then read about matter and what the world and your body are made of (mostly empty space) possibly an illusion of the mind. Your body is a machine under your control sometimes. If you want the answers they are there you just have to find them :)

  • aka iRobot

  • Bruce Willis has always and will always be awesome.

  • pretty random movie!

  • I said it once and will say it again. When you create a machine to do the work of Human, you take away something from the Human.

  • This whole movie was one big contradiction

    1. how would business like restaurants, spas and gyms function without real customers

    2. why the fuck did they give the choice to let anyone make their surrogate look different....that likes inviting so many pedos and creeps to prey on everybody

    3. why would they give surrogates enhance physical abilities cause anyone could abuse that

    4. fighting wars would be 100% pointless if you cant really kill the enemy

  • @naruto3k5 This whole movie is NOT a contradiction.

    1. business would adapt, restaurants, spas, and gyms wouldn't have customers, sure.. but when was the last time you went to your gramophone repairman?

    2. Virtual reality lets people be who-ever they want to be, why wouldn't business (surrogacy) jump at the opportunity to fill that niche for top dollar?

    3. That's a perk of surrogacy, but surrogates can be disconnected when a living human is involved.

    4. Wars are fought for resources and ideals.

  • @naruto3k5 I think you are a lil bit stupid, and I won't even deign your stupid points with an answer, except for number 4. I think that in a world with surrogates, a war could make sense: you would have to rebuilt surrogates after they are destroyed, so what would happen is that a conflict would reach the point where one of the nation is out of money to replace them, at that point they would surrender

  • @IlVeritiero Not only do that make senses, but I'm also wondering if it's not what is going on right now. Not with futuristic robots, but with actual warfare. Since 2002, the economy of the US began to drop, shortly after billions and billions put to fight the talibans (and more). We haven't really succeeded, as expected. One could think that Osama already got in mind that Bush would chase them down for years to the point when we could reach bankrupcy. Looks like they almost succeed, if it'strue

  • @rappafoin our economy is currently fucked up because of the collapse of the housing bubble.

  • @Epimpin101 Hmm, yes, the housing bubble had certainly played a more important roile in the economic meldown. I think that most was caused by the housing bubble, but the warfare was the nail on the coffin.

  • @naruto3k5

I agree that movie kind of downplayed the grittier angle, but it is still a piece of fiction. That and also Disney bought the rights to make it into a film.

But the one thing that pissed me off more is how (And this is referring to just about any movie trailer of today) the movie trailer spills the whole plot.

  • I'd want one just so I can bang hot guys with my hot ass body LOL LOL

  • has something of "gamer"

  • Can surrogates operate surrogates?

  • @Hikarilover123 Surroception

  • any sickest..??

  • The same basic Idea as in the novel "Kiln People" from David Brin, but now I have to read the original of this too :P

  • Why, if he could be anyone he wanted, did Bruce Willis' character choose to be a younger himself with a stupid haircut?

  • @ivarsig i guess cause otherwise it would be some other actor for those scenes

  • @nephew455 I know that. But it still raises some questions about the character.

  • @ivarsig because he used the surrogate for hes law enforcement job , not to be a vain asshole.

  • aperture science will make these in a couple of years

  • Aka Sims 10

  • Wonder if the women robot has a vaag... naaa.

  • i just watched this movie and the ending is crap. i don't know why any one asshole would think it is ok to limit the liberty of everyone. how can that be considered a good guy?

  • @greycloud24 well i think the Surrogates should be for the u.s. armies. don't you think? but come one though Sitting your ass ALL DAY on a bed which your mind is on arobot which is freaky. Come on your getting fat on that shit. Still he made a good choice.

  • @BeanerWienerx there is a drug going through trials before it is admitted to the FDA that causes muscle growth and higher metabolism in inactive muscles. it replicates the chemicals that are released by muscles during vigorous use. the drug is being developed to help patients who are in coma's for a long time and for elderly patients who are immobilized after hip fracture surgery.

if we did have surrogates i am sure that this drug would be released to the public.

  • @greycloud24 Can you say that again in English...

  • @BeanerWienerx we are already working on making drugs that keep you from getting fat even if you do nothing but lay around all day being lazy.

  • @greycloud24 Fucking lazy ass'essssssss... are you active?? how much oyu weigh?? answer..please

  • @BeanerWienerx i have been skipping out on going to the gymn lately but i am 5'6" at 163lbs. i am 4 pounds overweight.

  • @greycloud24 Ahaha I'm 5'7 i weigh 147 ish pounds and im only 16 and your age?

  • wait a sec. I thought a surrogate was a woman who had a fertilised egg planted in her womb

  • ...umm I can dig that angle...'that Humanity Gave Birth to A New World of Machines?...fertile..insemenated..but in my Webster's dictionary...'substitute...was all it said!.......'another cool movie I liked it!

  • the comic is ten times better

  • thinking that this will b possible.. it will be awful to be needed of machines or androids like this movie it will b hell.. limited of what others wans to give us and not what we will capable of.. I hope human stupidity doesn't go so far..!!!

  • what a hell.. if a i have a surrogate It will no look like a human... fuck that... i will a transformer or something like iron man... !!!!

  • OMG Having Surrogate's in real life would be so cool!!! But i know it's bad for me at the same time :P

  • This is a God awful film Bruce must of have been desperate when he signed to this

  • This looks like a GTA? GTA ULTIMATE MACHINE? HAHAHAHA

  • this goes to show how lazy some of us humans are lol

  • very strong movie

  • I rather shag and abuse a surrogate than a fat, repulsive or mental chick.

  • After seing this movie, my concept of the cyber world and such robot control changed.

I don't want to waste countless hours of being a puppeteer. A bit of cyber space is ok but I want to enjoy my life, my real life!

  • since i saw this movie i SOO WANT A SURROGATE.

    rob stores

    serve myself

    assault people

    molest girls

    oh god its like heaven

  • @BlackHawkRob

ud have to have a surrogate to "molest girls"? whats wrong,u cant get any action in real life? sooo sad

  • @supra1 I can't get 4 different girl per day and i can't get all the girls i want. How about you?

  • @madnafk Gotta love freedom of speech

  • why did they give bruce willis that awful awful hair he looks so much better without?? :/

  • I remember the day they were filming the helecopter scene.. It flew over my house (Not joking)

  • matrix meets bicentennial man lol

  • 0:45 thats a nightmare

  • This movie was interesting

  • @Lamar154 You know every year life becomes more shitty! If it keep likes that then by 2050 99% people would become not more than puppets! There are already some surrogates in college!

  • song at 1:43 till end ???

  • This movie is soo underrated. It's one of the enjoyable, futuristic movies I've seen. And Bruce Willis is a great actor.

  • saw this in cinema, it's a not beneficial

  • soooooooooooooooooooooo...........matrix?

  • this is one of my favourite ever films. But bruce willis doesnt do bad films

  • i have found a website webmovietube to watch movies for free..njoy

  • worst movie ever

  • @madnafk AHAHAH, youre kiding right?

  • portrays how people abuse technology and how we get lazier day by day, researchers say that in the future people will prefer socializing through the internet than face to face and furthermore robots are being used in wars right now and replaced humans in factories and other jobs. The movie is kinda scary, it's like a chatroom with a pedo hiding behind a girl's profile.

  • ah man when i first saw the first part of the trailer where they show a lady putting on the skin on the face od the robot i almost thought: "aw no not another terminator movie..." but when i saw the rest of this trailer i was completely dumbfounded by the fact that iwas off track the whole time

  • it's just a movie.

  • @Fr3shB0iii And how long are you on the internet a day?

  • @Fr3shB0iii 1 or to 4 hours

  • i loved this film imo a lot of people have slated it tho, i was literally hooked till the end.

  • oh yeah and one more thing... crime would increase cuz you can commit and crime and get away with it like mugging someone then bringing the money back to your home.

  • @yellohwarrior Lets get this clear:

    1. Ever heard of locks? motion camera's? problem solved.

    2. if the computer tells you what to feel it can filter out pain?

    3. Not if they're being mass-produced

AND: everything you do will be recorded so its acually a crime decreaser :) if you commit a crime they look back at the logs and they see your surrogate did it.

    You're dumb :D

  • @BlackHawkRob oh im dumb? locks? motion camaras? anyone can clearly get in your home regardless of those. and anyone could hack the surrogate or computers dont say its tight security or anything its never impossible.

  • @yellohwarrior nope but its highly unlikely :D

So you should think of a scenario thats more likely. If you know 100% sure that you'll get caught would you still steal?

  • @BlackHawkRob at that point the criminal would not know the chances.

  • @yellohwarrior then he's dumb.

thats like a retard trying to rob a liquor store with a piece of gum

  • 1. not really safe cuz someone can break into your home and kill you in your chair.

    2. how can you feel but not feel pain?

    3. a surrogate would cost ALOT of money.

  • @openupfresh but better :D

  • I really enjoyed this movie. It exposes a concept and shows its limitations, and dangerous consequences. In the end humans lose all real physical contact and become terrified of going "out" there "naked".

  • gay

  • @NaTeiiSBeaST I didn't know trailers could be happy :O

  • Read Isaac Asimov, he was a technology prophet.

Watch out, Humanity, here come the robots.

  • why is ther an apple at the bottom right?

  • @panagiotisgeorgiou It was ripped from Apple Trailers.

  • @panagiotisgeorgiou The movie producer insisted on using trial version of Apple software.

  • @panagiotisgeorgiou it was probably made on iMovie

  • @mattsheedy9 Mo seriously, this is real! It's based on the comic book.

  • great movie

  • Xerox a crossing, line living the, revelation to serpents, of unprecedented moving, skin’s humanity as, congruent natures proficient, bad does goodly, good does badly, proficiently nature congruence’s, a humane skin, moving unprecedented of, serpents to reveal, the living lines, crossed are Xeroxed !

  • @openupfresh wtf? no way

  • One of the best movies ever! And I agree, Surrogates are bad.

  • I think the movie is telling us that we shouldn't be reliant on technology instead we should be in the moment living in the present.

  • @openupfresh Actually it is not.

  • @madnafk

    @madnafk

Evolution's not like it happens in a second...

    wait! I'm growing chicken wings!

  • why the fuck do i care if Shelly got her new phone from Virgin Mobile?

  • I don't know about everyone else, but this movie was just way too awesome for me! One of the best of films of '09 IMO. People today are just too blinded to see the clear message of this great movie. 9/10

  • One thing I find interesting is that no one tried to use the HUGE amounts of surrogates to make a robot army.

  • @madnafk maybe harry potter creater humanity

  • @madnafk lol yeah i totally agree with you! how come they can't prove it if it exists? on the other hand, there's a proof of god! so why can't they just accept it? and have you heard about radio waves? i think that's also totally retarded. there is no proof, either! how can something be invisible and go through walls? yeah right! sciensitst just feed is with bullsh*t all the time!

  • The movie: Great idea, rather average realization.

  • fuck artificial life

    nuff said

  • @wowspare how do you define where natural stops and artificial starts? People with pace-makers, are they abomination? Should we hunt them down, shouting "dead must be dead" and "die cylon pig!!" ?

I think we are all mechanical, biology is a nanotechnology, regardless biology's millions years of evolution we, humans, are rapidly recreating it. Artificial life will actually be a LIFE, "Time not important. Only life important."

  • I am looking forward to surrogacy. I'll operate surrogate for work when needed and use my "meat-bag" =) body when it's safe to use.

Film-makers depicted operators as addicts - sure that will happen, but on a smaller scale, I think it won't be a mass addiction - not all are THAT stupid. For example we don't have to abandon computers because there are internet and video-games addicts. Just got to learn how to use computers wisely ourselves. Stupid one burns one's house with fire, smart warms it.

  • @evgeniy13 i like what you said in the very end...but think, most relationships are formed at the workplace, you would not know what the original person looks like, because all the surrogates will be inevitably attractive, and you'd rather just have intercourse with the female robot than to accept the fact its a grandma who is well past her expiration date, and than it grows and grows until it turns to a way of life, especially for women wanting to look young forever and ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @BlackSupraC2

"Fukuyama argues that the ability to manipulate the DNA of all of one person's descendants will have profound, and potentially terrible"

It can be potentially awesome as well, right?

Don't you think that powerful bioethics have potential to terribly alter the future? Those who frown upon the progress, like "Surrogates" makers or Fukuyama they do form the public opinion. We won't have any surrogates or biological immortality or have them later because people won't dream of those.

  • very underrated film.

  • how do humans reproduce if there are just robots walking around..

oh well human population is too high

  • @nineheads1 Pfftt i blame china

  • @nineheads1 Actually, every person in the whole world could own a several thousand square feet home with a yard and all fit in Texas. Its all merely an illusion, and living your entire life through a machine is a waste of time and energy. Every single emotion felt, action enjoyed, satisfaction or pleasure would all be a lie. Did you ever jump of the empire state building and live? Did you really spend all those precious memories with your wife? Did you live to your potential? No

  • in my opinion, which may or may not be popular, it is part of nature for us to do whatever it is we end up doing with technology, because nothing is without purpose, and everything that has a beginning has an end. If one of our future fallacies include events like in this movie, it will eventually become a thing of the past, and future generations will have something to learn from it, thus our society never seizes to evolve spiritually. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

  • 1:51 that black guy from con air , pulp fiction ect .. LOOK AT HIM NOW! LOL

  • This will be us in the year 2014

  • I thought this was an incredible movie with an original concept. I can't believe some people actually hated it.

  • I only saw the last 20 minutes of the movie on SA television. I seriously need to rent this movie!

  • a real world MMO..

  • Is it Just me or does the prophet (1:50 Guy with dreads) Look alot like KRS-one?

  • I saw it it was awsome! But if they do envant it there is no way in living hell I am using one!

  • what happens if surrogates make babies?

  • @Bloodshott17 they are robots so wont happen i think....

  • @dionysusanton im not entirely sure. it was just a thought.

  • thats basically a movie about world of warcraft

  • @BoVnCity world of warcraft? nope no trolls or druids in here...

  • This movie sucked.

  • seems kinda like avatar

  • worst movie

  • wow. this looks really good.

  • I liked the fat guy, he's the only other dude who isn't even using a surrogate (and could use one) but doesn't give a rat's ass about it

  • I guess people have forgotten what the Matrix was all about and now it's good time to release the sequel.

  • There are always a hidden message behind every movies like this..

  • @amylovemyart Where is it then

  • @amylovemyart do u know what it is?

  • I remember watching this in theaters and when all the Surrogates all fell down, a guy in the audience was like "Damn!"

  • Wow i really want to watch this
