  • it's a ford after all wherever it is, below average resale value & no.20 in reliability rankings.

  • Ford has taken a turn with the US models recently... Look at the Fiesta, Taurus, Focus and the new Fusion... which all look like they were developed in Europe...

  • Sigh... Ford "Europe" is Ford UK. Ford UK is a subsidary of the Ford Motor Company USA. All decisions by Ford UK are approved by Mother Ford. If Ford wanted to shut down Ford UK tomorrow, it would be shut down. Get YOUR facts straight. In fact, there is NO motor companies left in the UK. Sad, really.

  • thumbs up if you would buy this car? :)

  • I prefer the Fords in the US than the ones in Europe

  • can't wait to see the next version on the road

  • A Fusion liftback would be better

  • i fell in love with this car after James Bond film in 2007

  • Finally small bottle of water lol

  • I watch a lot of uk car programs, web sites etc. and in most of the videos it rains хаха it's funny for me, guess it won't be if I lived there.

  • love this car !! ford mondeo awesome !!!

  • Finally coming to the states!

  • @applesmnch2 yea as the fusion hahah.....i liked the old 2010-11 fusion better tho..

  • Jeez you guys so mean what if he doesn't know bout the US

  • fukin undies car

  • His fucking voice sucks

  • My favorite car from Ford Europe! :-D

  • I have this is car! This is GREAT CAR!

  • what happened with the review of the new mo0ndeo , the today one, the facelifted one ? why did they deleted it ?

  • why do we in the US get all the stupid looking fords while europe and australia get the cool ones?

  • @chinchillawrangler Cause we wont buy the stupid lookin ones!

  • @MegaSlayerr haha i wish people here would do the same....ford US loves building the ugliest things on the road for some reason

  • @chinchillawrangler maybe because people in America buy them you dumbass, if they didnt sell then they would change

the new Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta are from Europe and the new Explorer is also European so I guess they are listening to you

  • @tHeWasTeDYouTh we buy them cause thats what they make we have no control over it....now they finally listened to us after 20 years of bitching

  • @chinchillawrangler it's not after bitching

American desings are obsolete compared to European and Japanese(which are copies of Euro)

the only thing American are muscle cars and suvs but all regular cars are designed in Europe or Asia

Ford Fiesta and Focus are from Europe and so is the Buick Regal

The Chevy Cruze is designed in South Korea and so is the Sonic

problem is American cars are always lame, they are just there

you cannot compete that is why they went bankrupt

  • @tHeWasTeDYouTh what do you mean obsolete. you said europeans design them so how could they be obsolete? and how the fuck are japanese cars copies of euro cars? i think youre just making shit up right now. plus, our trucks, suvs, and muscle cars all have good platforms so im not sure what youre trying to say when you say "americans cant make cars". its not like we steal designs from europe, i.e.: euro ford designs the focus and its cheaper to just copy the same design and bring it to america...

  • @tHeWasTeDYouTh its all under ford's name so its not really stealing. but i see what youre saying kinda, we dont build much ourselves anymore....70% of a ford is built in mexico and only 10% is built in the US...they claimed that builing them in mexico will help them save money on the taxes it would normally cost them to import them to mexico to sell to the mexicans but i think thats complete bs

  • @chinchillawrangler Maybe because Ford realized that she practically created for all popular cars. And EUAs have a foot in her ass and preferred brands as Chevrolet and Chrysler! Ok I'm kidding ... but perhaps because in the U.S. unless Ford sells in Europe ... I think that here in Brazil it sells even more Oo

  • @chinchillawrangler stupid cars for stupid people, haha just kidding, i wonder the same thing, and not only with ford, also with other brands

  • @dnaniell ive only noticed we get the dumbass looking fords..i mean chevys and dodges look good here but the fords.........holy shit some of them are fucking stupid looking!!

  • @chinchillawrangler Because you Americans are stupid and arrogant, and only drive your own cars.

  • @MacGyver920 hah what half our cars on the road are jap cars another good chunk are german cars.....do some research ebfore you start talking shit

  • @chinchillawrangler You only drive American and Japanese cars, because you absolutely HATE Europe and European products. On American roads, you always see the same big trucks, and some Japanese cars. VERY few European cars.

  • @MacGyver920 do you even live in america? lol where are you getting this information from?? we dont hate european cars?? the only reason i wouldnt get one is cause theyre really unreliable and too expensive to maintain..... i was looking at some used bmws and vw's to replace my truck but i dont want the high maintenance. plus here in america, driving a german car symbolizes doucheyness so thats why im guessing people dont drive more of them....

  • @chinchillawrangler It's just a basic fact! I've seen the show Speeders, and I've seen the US specials from Top Gear, and it's just something everybody knows! The US is the world's most powerful and famous country, of course I know this!

  • @MacGyver920 ok then you should know that less than 1% of our country is rich right? and that only rich people can afford a mercedes, bmw, or audi? thats why we dont have more of them....we. dont. hate. european. cars!!!!!!! how hard is that for you to understand?? lol...by the way, the idiots you see on tv or the internet dont represent the whole country.....

  • @chinchillawrangler Take the show called Speeders for example.

  • @MacGyver920 ok? what do you guys use for work trucks over there for construction type work?

  • @chinchillawrangler Now idea. But in the US, you only see the same American pickups and trucks, and Japanese cars. That's it.

  • @chinchillawrangler Volvo and Scania.

  • @chinchillawrangler What do you mean 1% of the US is rich? Compared to most of the world, the poor in the US live like kings.

  • @MyAccount4TrollingU they never understand the meaning of poor.

  • @chinchillawrangler In some cases i think just opposite :)

  • @chinchillawrangler well this car looks bad, inside is has a VW look. so no, id prefer the one in the US

  • @jvrdlc You haven't even seen this car in person, so how would you know? VW look inside? Are you blind?

  • @chinchillawrangler What are you talking about? This is the Ford Fusion in the US

  • @MyAccount4TrollingU Yea...NOW its the Ford Fusion. It wasn't until now though. This car has been on sale since 2007 in Europe. Its completely made by EU Ford divison in Koln,Germany, and has nothing do do with actual american Ford, apart from having the badge on. Now US Ford decided to copy the new Mondeo and sell it in US as new Fusion. Same as they took the new Focus from EU Ford and market it as their own car, even though it was completely developed in europe.

  • @derbigpr500 Nothing happens with Ford Europe without direction from Ford USA. Nothing.

  • @MyAccount4TrollingU Wrong, get some info on it and you will see that they're separate. Ford EU is FAR ahead of Ford US in terms of technology, design, quality, overall concept, so Ford US can't control Ford EU, because they're making inferior cars. Ford EU design cars completely separately from Ford US.

  • @chinchillawrangler The irony is that Ford's an American Automaker XD lol

  • @chinchillawrangler Germans design them. Well, most of them.

  • @skipskops Not most of them, all of them.

  • @chinchillawrangler Luckily the upcoming Fusion is the same as the Mondeo.

  • @heatfullrat this is true, and I can't wait to test drive it

  • @chinchillawrangler not the upcoming 2013 MY

  • @chinchillawrangler EU fords are made in germany and they don't sell them all in the US because they wouldn't buy it.

  • @chinchillawrangler Because fords for european market are designed, engineered and produced in europe, and have nothing to do with US except for the badge. Well, at least now you get the new Focus from europe.

  • @chinchillawrangler Because you guys keep buying them..

  • @chinchillawrangler cause the US drivers are.... =)

  • i am driving one and i reckon far bettern then stupid ugly big german cars

  • Still undecided between Ford Mondeo and Toyota Camry Hybrid.... anyone??

  • the 2007-present Ford Mondeo is assembled in

    Genk, Belgium

    Vsevolozhsk, Russia

    Chongqing, China

    Tao-Yuan, Taiwan

    Rayong, Thailand

  • @Annihilator1111 Is it built in China as well! Oh, no! I don't want it!

  • @MacGyver920 well its only made in China for the Chinese market the Belgium built one is for Europe Russian built for Russian market and Taiwan for their market

  • @Annihilator1111 So, if I buy a Mondeo, it isn't Chinese, right?

  • @MacGyver920 nope if you live in Europe its assembled in Belgium

  • @Annihilator1111 Good. But does Russia make their own Mondeos because they're country is so big?

  • @MacGyver920 dont know lol

  • @Annihilator1111 No, I mean, Russia is a part of Europe, so why do they make they're own Mondeos if Belgium make them for all of Europe? Is it because most of Russia streches over to Asia?

  • @MacGyver920 well i think its probably just for Russia but thats just my knowledge

  • @Annihilator1111 So, Belgium forgot about Russia when they made the Mondeo for ALL OF EUROPE?

  • hmm what to chooce, the Ford mondeo or the hyundai i40? ....

  • @ladeninlogen Or the new Peugeot 508?

  • new Mondeo are all most as big as falcons these days

  • I'm not really a Thumbs up whore but, thumbs up if your're having a CarBuyer marathon!

  • YO WTF WHY DONT THEY HAVE THIS IN THE US.?!?! I WOULD BUY THIS CAR

  • @chinchillawrangler because the US sucks.... and I live there.

  • this is the best car reviewer I ever seen. good job

  • was looking for a good nearly new car and the mondeo is a f**king bargain glad there is badge snobery means i get a great car cheap!!

  • Cool, it looks like the US-spec 2007-8 (I think) Focus on roids.

  • @scaremengaviation Focus is like "topolino" next to Mondeo. :D

  • Brilliant car, whoever dislikes it is jealous because it's so good or doesn't have one.

  • i have a mondeo and i have to say its a good car .

  • thats a beautiful car, seriously, fuck Ford, stop selling us the weirdly styled shit and give us some European flavor!!!

  • @fordamain Is that supposed to be a Joke? The Ford Fusion is one of the the most reliable cars on the road. Europeans care about exterior and interior quality along with fuel economy that is it. Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat, Alfa, VW, Ford Euro are all extremely unreliable when you pit them against anything American in the same segment or price range.

  • @flatblackstrat ADAC (German insurance company) says that less than 6 Mondeos out of 1000 (thousand, not hundred) are registered with malfunctions throughout the year. Ford Mondeo is German car, in fact (produced in Cologne). I believe that's enough said about reliability and quality.

  • @neandertalac I'm guessing 6 out of 1000 new Mondeos..... That's not very impressive.

  • @flatblackstrat NO. Six out of all Mondeos. European cars usually don't malfunction in warranty period, which is usually first three years. And if they malfunction, it's taken seriously by customers society and judged by media. / And if you don't believe, I have Mondeo Estate and in 8 years there weren't serious malfunctions.

  • @neandertalac Sorry but if that were the case VWs would not sell as well in Europe. That goes for most of the EU manufacturers. Depending on trims even cars like the golf and Jetta prove to be very unreliable. Do you have any proof to your claim of 6/1000? If it is anything like Japan your first three years are one registration and anything during that time would not be reported to any agency.

  • @flatblackstrat Golf and Jetta are shit which is manufactured in every part of Europe. They are also driven by working class in Europe because they're cheap to repair. (And in my country registration is every year, in Germany it's every second year. And car insurance is obligatory in Europe so every malfunction is registered for newer cars. It's kinda like health insurance, there's no way one could pass by statistics). SORRY FOR BAD ENGLISH, it's not my native language!

  • @neandertalac Car insurance is obligatory in Japan as well but it doesn't give any reference to a cars reliability, since it is only for body work and repair in the case of an accident for the one not at fault. I have obligatory and supplemental on my car but it come from the dealer that way. Also registering your car is not a trip to the mechanic, it is just an inspection for road worthiness. People could fix their cars before they register them. I do appreciate the info though, interesting.

  • I drive this car. Honestly, it's quite unreliable. 3 breakdowns in 2 years. But a great car to drive, though. Just sayin'... Unless you aren't driving this frequently, don't buy it. Cheers!

  • Logic dictates I buy this car... But I wouldn't, I want a BMW

  • This car looks very simple, fast and cool!

  • in the us ford sucks, but love that car

  • I love that they don't sell this great car in the US. Then they wonder why the US car industry fails. We get all of Fords POS's and everyone else gets the good stuff.

  • @zippy476 Next Mondeo comes here as the Fusion. It'll be here in 6 months.

  • I like this because it does not look like a hatch back.

  • It make this look very stylish

  • didn't James Bond drive one of these?

  • @t5e2 yeah

  • its good for simples people that need to grow up to heavy too bloody slow

  • Comment removed

  • ford have shocking build quality, not sure about the newer models but pre 2000 cars rot worse than 70s fiats, ive seen 7 year old mondeos with rot on boot floor, sills etc, and the ford ka 5 years old with plates welded on the sills, only ever had 1 ford many years ago a 6 year old fiesta mk2 1.4 ghia, inner wings were totally rotten, never again will i buy one of these dagenham dustbins, would rather have a 20 year old audi than a 3 year old ford, german companys care about quality not profit.

  • this guy hits the compartment area in every video lol

  • with a 2.0 enigine its a nice car for a trip to italy..

  • The reason Mondeo's are not sold in the states is because Americans don't demand it. Most Americans fix there own cars, trick them out because they are sick of what the big 3 is putting on the road. Ford however is putting some nice cars out there with some power. With Fiat Taking over Chrysler Expect the Alfa Romeo Quality in the next 5 years...good luck GM!

  • LMFAO did he say LARGE family cars haha that's midsized, large cars are crown victorias and lincoln town cars. i don't even consider the new taurus to be "large" people have a screwed up conception of what a large car is now

  • @KingofComputing no, you americans do. european people dont drive large cars, you have the super huge ones.

  • The danish police is driving ford mondeo they have done that many years

  • I like it, go forward Ford!

  • my mom bought this car... and i cant drive it! i have to be 25 to get insurance, im 21... this is bullshit mondeo can go do one!, mainly cause of the harsh insurance.

  • I`m not buying another Ford,EVER.

  • Yes, the FORD cars in China are a lot more exciting as well. The Mondeo here has the sportiness of the Euro version + comfy ride quality you'd expect on an American FORD. The Mondeo here with the 2.0 Turbo engine gets a rated combined 30mpg (7.9L/100km) and 240 horses under the bonnet (hood). 6-speed DSG double clutch automation transmission. 0-60???........hahahaha........6.5 seconds!

  • FEEL DİFFERENCE;)

  • European Ford Designers: 'Lets make it Sleek, Stylish, Safe, Practical and Doesnt use much petrol"

American Ford Designers: 'HERP HERP HERP DURRR! LETS MAKE IT BIG AND LETS MAKE IT USE A MILLION GALLONS PER MILE! ALSO IT SHOULD BE AS HEAVY AND UNSAFE AS POSSIBLE!"

  • Why isn't this in the states..

  • @DynastyQg9 Come to Europe some day ;)

  • I see some Volvo styling in this. I'm glad Ford divorced Volvo. In the States Fords' are BIG PIECES OF JUNK! Total crap; ALL FORDS! - Found On Road Dead -

  • @rally240 Did you know I used to work for a rental company driving and abusing these around all day and everyday along with other mixed bags of makes and models. I really cannot agree with you more about Fords. European Fords are total garbage. Any Ford is garbage. Ford circled the badge so its obviously a problem. I'm just glad the Chinese stakeholders saved Volvo when they did. Volvo didn't deserve it.

  • I love the sitting position, really low and sporty. Not like in hatchbacks, where you sit high and almost on 90 ° angle.

  • why cant we have liftbacks in canada?

  • "all things, to all men". Now that's a familiar statement.

  • Ford are addicted to that cheap cheap silver n the dash.... my last ford fell down on some fixtures and fitting i.e thickness of carpets etc... can't matche the german car.. Skoda are way better than the Fords.... check out the Superb.

  • @chitpaul Actually, all those silver bits inside are real aluminum so it looks pretty good in person. Although the last Mondeo (the one before 2010 facelift) looked better inside if you ask me.

  • @derbigpr500 Have you been smoking drugs? Have you ever actually been in these Mondeo's and driven them yourself? Nothing is real inside them not even on the top of the top spec models. Those silver handles are not aluminium they are die cast plastic. The centre 'titanium look' dashboard is also plastic. The mahogany on the ghias are also plastic. Everything inside that car fades in prolonged sunlight. These cars are absolute trash. They are a false sence of perceived German quality.

  • @chitpaul Carpet fixtures, Ariels and door trims are an absolute nightmare for falling apart on these trash cans. Not only that Ford seem to be incapable of fitting a dashboard centre square without leaving gappy ends on the surround. I worked for Enterprise and I was always driving these. Rattly bonnets, flaking door handle paintwork, fading dashboards, thin carpets, huge unclosed panel gaps only an idiot thinks its as good quality as a German car. Skodas are a hell of a lot better.

  • Lol pause the video at 2:05... thats the gearshift from Vauxhall Insignia :P

  • Great car - just wish I had the guts to change from my 520d to a less "premium" but just a good a car as this. Badge snobbery - stupid but a reality.....

  • @TheStormbird You should at least give the mondeo a test drive, they are fantastic, Ive had my new model for 2 years now an its amazing to drive, well built featuring quality materials, and huge on the inside. it's actually bigger then an E class

  • @TheStormbird you should, THERE IS A NEW MODEL NOW!

  • True but thats starting to change. The US and Euro Focus will be the same next year as the euro version will go into production at stateside plants. As for the mondeo... well they brough back the taurus and you also have the fusion for this class both of which are pretty nice.

  • that is a good question, I have the feeling that euro Fords would be about the same as VWs in the states. we are addicted to crappy cars from Asia.

  • why the hell don't they sell this in the states, european fords are so much better than what we have in the states.

  • @flatblackstrat Well Mulley said he will use global platforms including the U.S. We have the Fiesta and will get the global Focus soon. I'm guessing the next Fusion will look like the Mondeo if you're going by the logic of Ford's new global plan but also design. Nice car indeed.

  • @rowsdower12 I'm still kinda wondering what will become of the U.S. market mardols though. I.E. Explorer, Escape, Taurus ect.... These models are not really sold outside of North and Central America through Ford dealerships and if they are they are only labeled as such and are not the U.S. models. I would like to see the global division take over everything from compact and below for both SUV and Sedan, I just don't want the Kuga replacing the escape which is what will maybe happen.

  • @flatblackstrat Well the new Explorer I believe is based on the Taurus and I think you're right the Kuga will replace the Escape. We'll see. The Escape is pretty out dated. Yeah, I guess in time we'll see. I see what you're saying. I think its just platform sharing and flexibility to cut costs. So if car A is sold in the U.S. the platform might be used for another car outside the U.S. (of course modified) for a different car and model. If that makes sense.

  • @flatblackstrat It's desgined by the Germans, it's assemled by Germans too and most sub-factories are located in Germany and some are even shared with VW. You realise how much effort would it take to move that production to the American continent? You get the Mazda 6/Fusion anyway.

  • @flatblackstrat

send me a Ford mustang 1964 model and I will send you the new mondeo :D

  • @flatblackstrat Yeah dude, I am from Czech Republic, currently in the USA. And when I get home, we will probably have this car, Ford Mondeo 2011. I can't wait, the European Fords just have so much more...I dont know have to say this...spark, life, juice, energy

  • @flatblackstrat You have the mustang and the taurus, i think you're doing pretty well.

  • @daibadrumu Don't tell the Aussies because I think they hate the Taurus. They want to keep the RWD Falcon. The Taurus is a decent car though, it just needs a little more fine tuning and quality control on the interior.

  • @flatblackstrat union contracts

  • @flatblackstrat

It's for European and some Asian market only and it not have saloon version

  • @streesmut70 I know what markets it's for. It's probably going to come to the states as the new Ford Fusion now.

  • @flatblackstrat Because we've got 5l and 3.6l engines that literally eat iranian petrol like there's no tommorow...and because people like big veiny, furious cars like a Mustang for example, and they cant realise what EFFICIENCY means

  • @RogTheLefty We don't import Iranian petrol, we don't import much Iranian anything since their is a trade embargo on them much like Cuba. We import most of our oil from Saudi Arabia. It's not an issue anymore anyways since almost all of the Euro fords are coming stateside. Kuga-Vertrek, Mondeo-Fusion, Focus-Focus, Fiesta-Fiesta. I'm getting the 2012-13 Kuga as my next car here in Japan.

  • @flatblackstrat Oh,but seriously,what's the difference between Saudi Arabia and Iran?I really don't think it's much..oh well,anyhow,great car but it doesn't fit me

  • @RogTheLefty There is a huge difference. One nation is a capitalistic monarchy and a U.S. ally with most freedoms, (nowhere near as much as the west) the other is a dictatorship flying the flag of a farce democracy. Iran was once a free nation under CIA appointed Shah, but was then overthrown buy radical Islam and is now dictated by Sharia law from the overseer the Iatola. Who do you think let us in to fight the first Gulf war? All Arab countries a corrupt though, but Iran is a terrorist nation

  • @flatblackstrat why do you say that ??

  • @nutzw1 Driving dynamics and interior quality are 2 big reasons. Since this post the Explorer and Focus have been released, and they extremely nice cars..... I am happy. Aso I live in Japan and we have the Kuga here which is probably going to be my next car. The last decade of Ford products have been shit except for the Fusion which rides on a Mazda.

  • @flatblackstrat Much better, and much expensive :)

  • @flatblackstrat I have the 1998 version in the US, the mercury mystique (ford contour)

The LS version, DOHC V6, its a GREAT car.

  • @flatblackstrat next ford fusion?

  • @TrojanWarior87 Yep that's the word.

  • @flatblackstrat we do it's called the fusion

  • @flatblackstrat Reading your comment made me proud. I'm happy to see an example that Americans and Europeans can be friends and not fight with each other. I'm sure not many Americans would say that! ;)

  • @flatblackstrat probably the same reason they don't sell mustangs over here stupidity
