  • I subscribed, your awsome at desgins ((: you should be a designer artist one day :DD

  • it dident work for me

  • @ekmakeover Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • I love your videos , I love the water marble , I ve done 2 kinds so far , pruple and then did an underwater like marble then stamped turtles and sea horses on them they came out great.

you can see it on my fb page in pic under nail art.

  • Do sparkly nailpolish's work with water marbling?? I love the technique but am super curious about using polishes with glitter and ones that are chunkier! Im so glad I found your videos!! :)

  • @LOVEhopper although I haven't had much luck with glitters, the only way to know for any specific color is to try it =)

  • omg i LOVE YOU!

thank you so much for showing me how to do this !! ur amazing !!!

    xomich!

  • do you have a list of all the polishes that work? is it usually the brand that doesnt work or particular colors within a brand? Bottles here go for $5-$7 or more a bottle and so I am basically asking if there is a simple list you can supply ?

  • @KARENK1 I always have the colors I use in the information box, but I don't keep a list because a lot depends not just on the color but what other polishes you are using together =) a color may work on its own or with one color, but not spread well with a different color

  • This video was made on my b- day yaaaayy!!

    Luv youuu Colette!!

  • YOU SAID 22 TIMES 'AND' IN 4 MINUTES! -.-

  • 1:33 like an onion ^^

  • This is amazing I want to try it :) Have to stop biting my nails :)

  • i tried this and made a mess so i got yelled at :)

  • Stop adverts pleeeaaseeeeeee

  • @LuuCiia73 sorry but no LOL

  • When you are testing the polishes how can you tell which color is the one that is not working. Do you test individually?

  • @TropicalBeauty1 I do test individually & together - sometimes even just the order that you drip them in can effect how they spread =)

  • i lovee doing my nails but the marble doesnt work, the varnish doesnt spread out and the design goes everywhere aha:')xx

  • @jadelaurenpriest Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. • ha anyone tried it ??!!... how did it go?

  • @bambamonkey I try it but it takes a couple try but its fun when u get it

  • I love this! I've started doing t5his since watching your videos and find it really addictive and loads of people ask me how i do it!! How can you best tell if the polish is going to work in the water? is it all in the way it spreads? xx

  • @79bobbin in how it spreads & if it dries very slowly =)

  • Do you put Colorless[transparent] after this process?

  • @llovapaluza yes, I always recommend a top coat =)

  • I LOVE SIMPLELITTLEPLEASURES!!!!!

  • My friend and i tried this..it didn't work at all!! :/ do you have any tips to making it actually work?

  • @kathybug16 Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. • @kathybug16 you don't need to use tape, you can but don't put the tape on your nail.. It should work then.

  • what nail polish works the best?

  • @ALEDMO1362 there really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well – the colors I use are always listed in the information box. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • I look your purple video its awesome Your friend, Linda

  • YAY! Purple's my favourite colour too xD

  • Collet, Can you please do one in red? Thanks :)

  • @SESIKUNA1 30 =)

  • hi i loved the purple one ive wacth loads of ur vids but ca u do 1 on my fav colour it is blue plz do collet

  • @Ricebunny289 I'll do every color in this series eventually =)

  • I love purple n i think ur nails r beautiful :)

  • I LOVE PURPLE!!! This is FANTASTIC.

  • LOVE the purple! I know you must get sick of the same questions being asked 100 times in every video, lol I do. I am sure you have been asked this before but I havent seen the answer. How often do you change your polish? Since I learned how to do the water marble I want to do my nails every couple days.

  • @godseeri usually 3-4 times a week =)

  • how do you get the polish to expand like that? i tried it before and it didn't spred :(

  • @aqua3162 Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues it was from my faucet, so no. the water was cold.

  • @aqua3162 well, polish won't spread as well in cold water or most tap water, so that's probably your main problem =)

  • ahh thank you okayy xx

  • How do you get the water room temperature?

  • @Nestelbeer just leave it out in the room for a while =)

  • I'm the 323 232 wiever!

  • Thanks for reply my question and sorry for that wrong spelling

  • @simpLittlePleasures can we deep our all 5 nails if our nails small ?

  • @hanianiz I don't usually recommend more than 2 or 3 fingers at once - but just be sure they hit the surface of the water & the design at the same time =)

  • wat does room temperature mean? does it mean warm?

  • @ThePinkpuppy56 not warm or cold - the same temp as the room =)

  • i love your water marbling but ot me its kind of unhealthy if you always keep your nails that long

.__. it may be just me

  • @LuckyLoveProductions ? how is it unhealth?

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues i not sure about the length..... but since you wear nail polish everyday, your nails cant breath

  • @imabeeyoyo sorry but nails don't breathe LOL

  • @imabeeyoyo I agree with you on that one. I just took off my false glue ons so they could heal. But everybody has their own way of doing things. Colette wears polish all the time because she wants to. She doesnt care what anybody else thinks. She is just being who she is. I agree with you though my nails need to be left alone for awhile. And sometimes I don't even wear polish for 2 weeks so they can let loose a bit. It's always a good idea to do that.

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues

it just seems that it would be unhealthy because of the thickness of your nails, and if you dont trim them, maybe i used the word "unhealthy" in the wrong form, to me its just not good to have your nails that long and thick. i dont know if you trim them, or what not but i would reccomend getting them cut just a little.

  • @LuckyLoveProductions but why? sorry but aside from liking them long, you don't have any solid reasoning LOL. Having thick nails, unless they're really gnarly, is a sign that the nails are healthy, not thin & weak. Being able to grown them long is also a sign of health =) & having gone through a phase of peeling & breaking, I can appreciate how much better condition they are in now

  • Where do you get orange sticks? Could you use a toothpick instead?

  • @bigputman they’re available most places that sell polish, usually stocked near the files & clippers =) you can use anything with a fine point

  • wow you are sooooooooo amazing

  • would you use water thats hot and what do you put on your fingers

  • @4everleonie I always use room temperature filtered water. around my finger it’s just tape – you can check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)

  • nice nail

  • what kind of water do we use hot, cold or warm?

  • @AshleycoleGc I always use room temperature filtered water =)

  • i tried it but y isnt the polish spreading ???? i even tried to put polish remover on my nail polish box and still it didnt spread T<T can someone tell me y ? i really am going crazy to do this T_____________T

  • @cuteprint Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues umm actually im i even tried hot water and cold but still T>T

i will try every brand until i get it r8 thats for sure and ill keep watching your videos

  • @Iskittlez101202 um, how exactly do you think I copied her? Our styles aren't even that similar let alone the same =P

  • @Iskittlez101202 Shes not old. She looks in her mid 30's thats actually pretty young. And im only 10 O_O

  • @Iskittlez101202 Lol!!! ITS NAIL POLISH! There is NO need to cry over it, lol!! Great job SLP :)

  • @monstershowofOMG were you using a base color? it also depends on how many drops you do =)

  • when I do marbling I always have tiny bubbles on my nails . Any idea why ?

  • @Mari14Bella My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip or shake off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thank you !!!

  • @Mari14Bella pull it out slow that might help.

  • i've tried soo many times but the nail polish wont spread! i really dont know what i'm doing wrong! plz answer

  • @kiana98geerman Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues it doesn't work for me... like when i try to use blue and pink, they only do it 2 times. like first blue, pink, blue, pink and then it stops. i have to use clear but then all the colors just sink :(

  • @xoEpicLillyxo Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues the colors are different in water? i hope the claire nail polishes will work...

  • i <3 doing this its so easy once it u do it like 2 or 3times

and can the person who has my simple little pleasers can u do one with silver pink purple

or one with orange black and white so they look like poms!!!!!!!??

    those would look so cool!!!!!

    thanks please try!

  • @funny9573 I'll add those colors to my request list =)

  • if you can't find an orange stick, is it possible to do the water marbling with a toothpick?

  • @xRedxTears you can use anything with a fine point =)

  • How long have you been growing your nails for ?

  • @Puppy93150 I pretty much maintain them long ever since I've been blogging =)

  • epic fail T_T

  • awesome :D

  • how long does it usually take you? to do like one whole set of nails?

  • @ElizaLuvsU49 around an hour if I'm dipping each nail individually, less if I'm dipping multiple at a time =)

  • i tried but it faild:I :(

  • @EmmaLilly007 Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. • when i tried to do it the water got this weird film and when i put in more colors it would not spread it just ether stayed in the middle and not spread out or just drop to the bottom of the bowl.

  • @kraziXoXwildXoXside usually the film is left over polish - if you take a single drop & spread it over the surface, let it dry fully & then remove it, it should clear the residue. some polish sinks because it’s too dense, other times it is from dripping it from too high up, try to stay close to the surface of the water =) also are you using room temperature filtered water?

  • Hey um can i do a water marble with just one color??? Help hahahaha 😃😍😲😂😡

  • @annaavila45 different shades of the same color yes, but just one color would not be a marble, it would have no design ... it would just be a weird way to paint your nails =)

  • You use cold or warm water.

  • @albereta100 room temperature filtered water =)

  • LOVELY PURPLE!!!!!

  • can you do a halloween nails please?

  • @zenapolia I have done several - there's a halloween playlist =) but I don't think I'll be adding to it anytime soon

  • Galat manakeer ههههههههه هههههههه

  • it is a drinking water and the base coat is inportant

  • @asmahanif123 it's filtered water from a brita pitcher & yes - a base coat helps it stay on your nails & a base color helps the marble colors be more opaque & vibrant =)

  • واااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااع قررررررررررررف

  • i love it!

  • witch nailpolish do you use?

  • @nathhalie99 they're all listed in the information box =)

  • I was wondering if you could do a RAINBOW marble nail tutorial.

  • @jackiewsmn I have done several actually =)

  • I never really succeed. how do you sketch in the water? stay with me always stick to my sit

  • @farmcity5 It sounds like the polish is starting to dry – you either have to work faster or find colors that dry slower =)

  • Oh wow

  • How many nail polishes do you have?

  • @awesome4evr2778 over 1600 bottles =)

  • Im sorry to bother u i see you have alot of comments to keep up with but whenever i try to do water marbleing it never ever works i use room tempeture water i tried the colors u did so im pretty sure its not the colors and so wehn i do it it will not spread out do u know if some of the paint is to thick i just didnt know. And i was wondering if i made a video to show you what happened would u watch it if not and ur to busy its no big dea

  • @MsBeautiful2021 is the water also filtered? most tap water is too hard & the polish won't spread as well =) if your polish is too thick, I recommend a little bit of polish thinner.

  • i tried to do it i did it but it didnt look the same like you

  • @muushrooma well it does take practice to be able to make the desig you want =)

  • @khamand I was playing around this morning with China Glaze "Ruby Pumps" this morning (I JUST learned of marbling last night) and it even spread well in the tap water I was using. I plan to get a gallon of distilled though...

  • I am trying that

  • Do you need to put a clear coat over the water marble once you are done?

  • @roromonkeymomo yes, I always recommend a top coat for any manicure =)

  • when i try to draw with the orange stick it messes up the nail polish

  • @195pen It sounds like the polish is starting to dry – you either have to work faster or find colors that dry slower =)

  • Hi Simplelittlepleasures I Have Another Question Can U Do All O.P.I For The Marbling??? :)

  • @Haylee12pb sure, you can use whatever brand you like, although not all colors work =)

  • Hi Simplelittlepleasures I Have A Question Do You Put Anything On Your Nails To Strengthen It??? :)

  • @Haylee12pb I keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – check out my Nail Maintenance vid in the Tips & Trick playlist for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) I do "Naked Nails" posts on my blog every month or so where I talk more about like all the specific products I'm currently using.

  • Do you have to have long nails to do this??

  • @riylee77 no, it works on short nails as well =)

  • Your marbling is so cool!! Is that possible for those who have short nails???

  • @Audrey7599 yes, if you have short nails you just get less of the design, so it's very important where you dip your nail - check out my short nails marble with my mom as hand model for some tips =)

  • Totally subscribing. (:

  • how do you tape you're nails?

  • @milouvd99 check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)

  • mine didn't spread out like yours what happened if it doesn't do that ?

  • @lilmizzcutieisadiva Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • can u make a blue marble nail art tutorial?

  • @JiVeStUrKeY222 I'll be doing every color eventually for this series =)

  • purple is my favorite color too, but do u have to have filtered water because i used tap water and some of my nail polish did not appear?

  • @nazifa357 I always use room temperature filtered water from a Brita pitcher because most tap water is too hard & the polish will not spread as well. Bottled is also usually OK as long as there are no additives. You can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =)

  • You are a beast with this, Im just having a field day on ya page 4real lol, sittin here gettin all my nail polish lined up for tomorrow... and purple is one of my FAVORITE colors

  • One question, is this water??

  • @CeliaTheBest12 yes, room temperature filtered water =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues what do you mean filtered, like tap or drinking

  • @pinkisrule filtered like from a brita pitcher =)

  • those are so cool exept i dont like purple i like black and white put that design is awasome

  • thats soooo cool

  • HI, i love u'r videos, but i have some questions and I hope they won't repeat... so, 1st, filtered water? is that like boiled water or you have to buy it in the store? 2nd, is that a paper cup you're using, does it matter what kind is it? and how come your drops spread so nicely in the center? i tried doing this one evening and each time my drops just ran on a side of the cup or it stayed in in the middle and didn't spread - 'coz of the regular water? is that orange stick a regular pencil? TNX

  • @butterflylara I get my filtered water from a brita pitcher =) it is paper, but anything is fine except for styrofoam (whch polish can dissolve). the polish not spreading well was probably due to your water - an orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick – you can use anything with a fine point

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues sorry, what's a brita pitcher? (= thank you for answers! i will try again tomorrow! (=

  • @butterflylara it's a device that filters tap water =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues oh, and are those your real nails? they look awesome! ;D

  • @butterflylara yes, my nails are natural =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues aha, i checked what r brita pitchers, heh, so, if i don't have that, can I use some bottle water or smth? boiled water will probably not do, right?

  • @butterflylara Distilled water or any drinking water from bottle should work. The main reason why normal tap water doesn't work as good is because impurity of the water (ie may contain tiny particles of chemical or dirt).

And yeah I'm back to let you know I finally got the water marble done right! Thank you so much, @SimpleLittlePleasues

  • For future reference, I have found that using vaseline around the nail instead of Scotch tape is much easier!
