I've used both. The Flip's video quality was not as good as the Kodak's Zi6's video. The HD was great for a camcorder this size. I purchased it refurbished on Kodak's site. Hooking up to my iMac or iBook was easy and importing into imovie was easier with the Kodak unit. These two guys must have been sponsored by Flip's maker.

This review is completely worthless. The controls were pretty intuitive to me. I had no trouble powering it on, recording videos and uploading them to my computer.

I love the user replaceable memory and batteries - at least they can be replaced if either goes bad. It comes with a set of rechargeable AAs as well as the charger.

They also completely fail to mention that the Zi6 can capture high resolution videos at up to 60 fps and that it has a toggle switch for macro videos on the side.

These guys are idiots. Saying stuff like you have to buy a memory card as a disadvantage, and saying the zoom is shaky; these aren't just problems with the kodak, they are problems with most cameras! Another one which gets me is when they say its not good in low light conditions. Name a camera that is that hasn't got nightvision!
