  • my great-grandfather Jacob Ball was the captain of the Cactus and the engine thats in it came from my other great-grandfather Joseph Green's narrow boat the Daffodil.

  • @readergroup ya i have a few pics of the cactus theres 1 thats from a book i found and one with my great-grandfather at the help posing. id be happy to send you copys of the pics

  • Looks like the flush of water they were waiting for did the trick. Sometimes a tug over a submerged obstacle can do more damage, especially to a wooden bottom than desired, I can see why they may have turned you down on that.
