This is so awesome! I grew up on time life infomercials, and my music taste was largely influenced by these infomercials. I wish I could afford the set, or if I dared to spend the money for it. I know it is a great collection.
HEY I HAVE THE MOTOWN COLLECTION, AND IT,S GRATE MUSIC(: I WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN BORN, IN THE DAYS, BUT I WAS BORN 1992, AND SO WAS MY TWIN SISTER, AND LOOK, IT,S BERRY GORDY, BILLY PLAYED HIM ON THE JACKSON,S AN AMERICAN DREAM I LOVE THAT MOVIE, AND I LEARN SO MUCH FROM IT WE LOVE YOU MICHAEL JACKSON(:
Motown made their stars go to charm school? Wow! they should definitely bring that back, these old time stars were all class, today's 'stars' are so crass and in need of singing lessons too.
look at the lad 's face in the background (the one with the book) on the right of the singer at 01:44 - he isn't impressed!! Great little film though - nice work.
@DXman099 NO this is when whites liked our good singers. Now you prefer our rappers or just terrible singers regardless of race. Unless you think Taylor Swift and Britney Spears are "good" singers? I'll put John Legend, Lauryn Hill and many others. Against any singer you guys have to offer.
God bless Berry Gordy, The Funk Brothers, Diana, Stevie, David and all Motown...life changing music. Even though I wasn't around for the first sounds, I discovered the Motown Sound and never looked back!! Peace!
I love theses songs! Is there a youtube video where i can find the songs: Baby Love I want you back The love you save It's a shame Superstition Danching Machine Don't leave me this way Do you know where your going? My guy For once in my life Im losing you Uptight And You cant hurry love on youtube, with the versions from this commercial?
I lov this music. I surprised myself at how many of these songs I knew the words to as I watched this on TV last night. I know almost all of them and I'm 21. Then again, my mom is 54 and my dad would have been 52 i think
Star Wars is Awesome... Except clone wars... that was a very awful experience for me. Also Phantom Menace.. I mean DARN JAR JAR BINKS!! WHY ARE YOU IN THAT MOVIE???
@AngelaRed Agree 100 percent. Commercial music is a direct reflection of society. The reason the 70s were such a fun loving and free society was directly attributed to the music that was around in those days. Man i sure miss that time in life where people of all colors and creeds could band together with music.
@tuzwol to a kid maybe they would feel like awwww man he is talking about killing so, let me go do it. but were talking about young aldults. if there are no jobs, there is nothing for us to do but get into trouble. there was less crime then for that reason and that reason only. after all lets not forget it was my elders who burnt down the city and never rebuild it to this day. young America is sick of being the blame for the past and present. all due respect.
Did you know that Billy made history by being the First African American Actor to appear on a Soap Opera. It was in 1965 on Guiding Light and he played a guy named Dr. Jim Frazier which would later be played by James Earl Jones and the late Ossie Davis.
If we had this type of music instead of the trash we have this generation teenagers would make good choices I should know I'm 15!
