PETER JACKSON "WETA" cant beat this animation n cgi...........gollum was easy n it was stationary n white face. davy jones was live action n movement with rain n texture. ILM was busy with TRANSFORMERS cgi so they didnt take the AVATAR job. ILM couldve made it better. WETA needed ILM to help to finish avatar. jurrasic park dino 1991 vs king kong...ILM dino still looks better and real n in the rain too

Idk if anyone else noticed, but if you remember the sword that davey jones uses he got from comador norington, and its the same sword from the first movie that will makes for the comador. so will makes the sword, gives it to norington, and then davey jones gets it, and kills will with his own sword. this couldve all been prevented if will didnt make that sword.

@LandisAuJedi the fate he suffered is the touch of destiny tia dalma spoke of. not to be nit picky but the sword is given to the governor first who then presents it to norrington which he loses when court martialed, then it is represented to him by beckett and finally jones takes it after his death and kills will with it completing the circle of destiny.

Jack Sparrow for once did something unselfish, and also felt for Will when he was stabbed...My opinion even though Jack can be oblivious, stupid, selfish, and insensitive deep down he still has a chunk of moral tugging at him. In this case, he tried to save Will out of respect.

There are two things Jack Sparrow loves: sailing the Black Pearl, and being the one and only Jack Sparrow. The first one is more important. It lead him to piracy in the first place.

He wants to be immortal so he can continue sailing his ship. He sacrificed immortality twice for his loved ones (Will and Angelica). At the end of On Stranger Tides he abandons his dream of immortality.

When he was in the locker he couldn't sail his ship, and there was a whole crew of Jack Sparrows.

@e0o9kii When he had the heart he thought he had control over Davy Jones which is why he brought it to his attention, but Davy stabbed Will anyway. He stood there in shock because Davy did not surrender as he thought he would and he was not sure if he wanted to take Davy's place yet (stabbing the heart). All in all Sparrow is a good guy (...sometimes) so he uses the heart's curse to save Will's life.
