As silly as this may sound, I can't believe that this beautiful soul ever had to endure such disappointments. It doesn't seem fair to me. As an American I have only become aware of France through the internet during the past year. It is astonishing to me, the wealth of wonderful material that willingly she gave herself to and that it would have such an unfortunate undercurrent of discontent for her. I am grateful that she came out through it and that we have so much of her great art. Great job!

Thank you so much for posting this video and providing translation. I was late in hearing her music but she and her songs have found a place deep in my heart. I have a French friend who told me about France's life and tragedies but seeing the way it really happened made it very touching for me.
France Gall is one of the few singers that I sincerely wish that I could thank for making music that has provided me with so much beauty and happness.
