let me answer this wisely, jesus told us that even if you only desire a woman, than you have already sinned in your heart, so if you are married to a woman and you desire another woman, than you have sinned....so how does islam make sense than? islam is not the true religion, theres still time to convert my muslim brothers.
Yeah, that's true. All praise belongs to Allah Ta'ala to bestowed such a great and lasting favour upon us in the person of Hazrat Khalifatul Massih rabe (rh).
AND FINALLY, as I have mentioned earlier, that this principle applies not only to women, but to men also:
Say to the believing men that they restrain their looks and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Surely, Allah is well-aware of what they do. (24:31)
The only difference being that the bodies of women have more areas which arouse sex in men, whereas men have fewer.
But every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered shames her head for it is one and the same as if she were a (woman) with a shaved head. For it a woman does not cover herself let her also be shorn; but if it is disgraceful for woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered. (1 Corinthians: 11: 5, 6)
When Re-bek'ah raised her eyes, she caught sight of Isaac and she swung herself down from off the camel. Then she said to the servant 'who is that walking in the field to meet us?' and the servant said 'It is my master' And she proceeded to take a headcloth and to cover herself. (Genesis: 24: 64 and 65)
Another thing which I would like to point out is that this concept of purdah is not a new concept which pertains ONLY to Islam. This concept was also in Christianity and Judaism (as well as other religions). I will point out a few verses from the Bibles.
In fact, women are deprived of their rights in societies in which they are made to reveal their bodies. The only difference between the medieval oppression and the modern day oppression is that today, women are fooled into showing their bodies under the false precept that they are being given more rights--the right to show their bodies to men.
Throughout history, whenever Men have oppressed Women, they have forced them to reveal their body parts (and share their bodies with them). It does not make sense to say that Muslims try to oppress women by ADVISING them to HIDE their body. Women who were oppressed by men had always wished that they could be given the RIGHT to hide their body. How can it be a womens right to display their bodies to men??? If anybody is gaining advantage from that it is the man, not the woman.
In the time of the Holy Prophet (SAW) many Muslim women did not observe "purdah" properly. No punishment was inflicted upon them. They were only advised to wear the veil.
ISLAM only calls for MEN and WOMEN to dress modestly and not show their sexual parts. ISLAM prescribes that women wear the veil (NOT neccesarily a burqa), and dress modestly. This principle (despite being very effective in reducing sexual misconduct in society) is not even to be enforced. If a woman decides not to wear the veil, than there is no punishment in Islam for that.
Most anti-Islamic people also argue that Islam deprives womens rights by forcing them to wear the "BURQA". But let it be known that ISLAM does not deprive womens rights. Only the mullahs (not all) and their ignorant followers do so. However, these people do not represent Islam or its values.
Therefore, the criticism that Islam deprives women of their rights by allowing men to marry multiple women is absurd. This principle in fact promotes their rights, as left alone in that state they could easily be taken advantage of by the "shaitans" of the world. This ensures their financial social safety.
In fact, this principle needs to come to practicla use in many situation. For example, after world war two nearly 30-40 million women became widows. There was a lack of men. So some men needed to marry other women, and that is also if the conditions stated earlier are fulfilled.
Also, the Quran does not permit one to marry another woman out of lust; a man can only marry another woman who is in need of a husband. For instance, a widow whose husband has been killed in war etc.
Also, there are several conditions for a man to marry another woman. For one thing, he needs the permission of his first wife. Secondly, it can only be done if the man can take care of all the needs of each wife and support them (both) in all departments.
In fact, the sole purpose of marriage is procreation. If a woman marries 4 men, the sole purpose of marriage is not fulfilled. As a woman can only have one child at one time.
