  • Do you belive that jesus is existed? and do you think he wwas a man, prophet, or son of god or undecided? sweet vid btw

  • I'm not sure. It seems so incredible to think that he may not have existed. But the actual evidence of his existence is so slim. Apologists compare my skepticism to skepticism about George Washington or Julius Caesar; however, the supporting evidence is incomparably different in those cases.

  • You're right to point out the false dichotomy that many people are faced with when talking about this stuff- that to accept evolution is to reject god. That's probably why people get so angry, they feel that science is assaulting them and they must fight back. Great lis, you can watch any VenomFangX video and check off each one in a short amount of time :D

  • Mr. fallible, If the earth is billions of years old, can you tell me why we still have meteors and why they are not all expended?, why do we not have meteorites in the lower levels of the mythical geo column. where is all the dust that should be on the moon after millions of years of existance. I don't have these answers, but I am hoping you might.

  • "I don't have these answers, but I am hoping you might." You see mr. fallible this is how intellectual people dialogue. you treat people of faith with hatred and distain like we are some kind of plague. and then claim to be the moral agent of enlightenment and advancement. All I see is someone who is bitter and arrogant.

  • I do not treat people of faith with disdain. Creationists are not the only people of faith. I tell people who haven't done a remote amount of honest homework that they haven't done a remote amount of homework. What you see is irrelevant. Creationists like to claim they are persecuted and that those who disagree are bitter. I am not bitter. I am saddened, though, that creationists refuse to do homework and behave dishonestly.

  • Thanks my fallible friend for responding to my posts. however I disagree with your assesment about urban legands etc. this again is a tactic used by most evos and definately the media, speak opinions as if facts (most people won't challange that tactic) and attempt to make the person making statements appear to be ignorant. if that strokes your ego, then knock yourself out. You enlightend ones must need this. Just remember, like I said to begin with, you are looking at the back of the tapestry.

  • Really. The moon dust thing is based on a LONG-outdated measurement. Since creationists don't bother confirming their 'facts', before they pass them on, the moon dust disproof of evolution has become essentially an urban legend. This is not about my ego. This is about creationists doing their homework.

  • An old Earth is not logically related to the existence of meteors. The belief that there should be oceans of dust on the moon is based on an erroneous calculation that creationists have spread into an urban legend. That's another of their methods that I'll get to - the spreading of urban legends.

  • You make some valid points but what most people (even Christians {which I am})fail to recognize is when evos say we ignore the evidence what they really mean is we ignore you interpretation of the evidence. I believe that THE evidence preached by the evo religion is like looking at the back of a tapestry and then claiming to know what the art is. however, if you've ever done that you'ld see that you would probably be wrong.

  • You'll disagree of course because evos tactics are to discredit, villafy, demonize or just plane ridicule opposing oppinions. but science being self correcting (evos words, not mine) leaves an immense reason to be skeptical of current beliefs. you look at the back side of paleo, geological and astro science and make claims that are in no way varifiable. but then claim not to be a sudo science based on faith and assumption. you take mob rules+billions of years=origion.

  • But, great piece of propaganda however. I always like these single sided exposays(sp)that have no opposing dialogue.

  • No different than 99.99% of the stupidity creationists have posted to Youtube. OTOH, the analysis is my own and not some stupidity that I have cut-n-pasted from creationist, pseudoscience websites.

  • Well my falliblefriend, if what you said is true, why did you just spew all that junk (4 postings to be exact) and not even address my posts, other than to defend your honor. I have cut an pasted nothing. you, my very fallible friend do not know me or my motives, but like every other small (intellectually speaking) person, you attack me personally. great debating skills mr. fallible.

  • I have said that your post was stupid - after you accused me of spewing propaganda. The purpose of my video was to explain to people the tactics actually used by creationists. You have not addressed that other than to say it's just propaganda. I gave examples and intend to give more. You have provided nothing.

  • This piece is not propaganda. It's educational for those people who are interested in science and are not too intellectually lazy to try to explore the facts.

  • Viewers, do you see how so called enlightened people character assasinate (ever so subtly) people who have an opposing oppinion. "too intellectually lazy to try to explore the facts."

  • Not that my statement is factually incorrect. It's not character assassination if it's true, which it is.

  • "Born again Christians"! All fuckin' born yesterday and ready to enter the furore with their new-found divinity and righteousness! If you don't like what's said here, piss off to the abundant cumbaya channels and stop pickin' fights and takin' cheap shots. Twat.

  • Wow, from the look of your page, you worship our fallible friend. I apologize for dialoguing with your messiah. nice use of the english language, you must be proud of your education.

  • Aye, got an English Lit A-Level!

  • it shows, maybe you should get your money back.

  • Haaahaha!

  • you have a good sence of humor for a God bashing Christian hater. very refreshing : )

  • The tactics you accuse evolutionists of using are exactly the tactics that creationists use.

Creationists make claims that are not just wrong, but utterly asinine all the while accusing the scientific community of the grossest incompetence. If we ignore them, they crow that "nobody can answer them." If we point out exactly how wrong they are, they pule "SEE! We must be right! Look at how they argue!"

  • "Look at how they argue!" Mr Fallible, you haven't even engaged in any kind of dialogue with me and already you are trying to use me as a proof of your rantings. you are a hypocrit, and to use the words of one of your fellow evos (which I deeply respect for his intellectual and personal maturity) you are a failure to your cause.

  • I haven't use you as proof of anything. Creationists are intellectually lazy.

What they want is the right say any stupid thing they wish with impunity.

  • "really mean is we ignore you interpretation of the evidence"

I don't know what other evolutionists mean, but when I say it and when other evolutionists I know say it, we mean exactly what we say, "That creationists ignore evidence." They represent some fact as if it were important to the exclusion of other facts. Often their facts are spurious.

  • Very good analysis. I can get kind of a morbid joy out of watching creationist's public presentations on YT, just to see how the audience is played by associative appeals to emotions and thus well prepared to accept outlandish claims.

  • It does seem that creationism is all about appearances, they want so much to feel like they're on the 'winning side' so they'll pack the audience, embrace fatuous arguments and use any means fair or foul to stuff down that gnawing fear that they've been misled by their upbringing.

  • "use any means fair or foul"

    In a nutshell.

    "misled by their upbringing."

I strongly sympathize with this. Betrayal is always difficult to come to terms with.

  • Right on. You've completely nailed their technique here. Good job.

  • Well, I've only discussed a few of them. There are more - and they commonly use them simultaneously in way so the entire argument seems to transpire on a desert of shifting sands.
