Please don't discount the value of wholetree chipping. I worked in the forest industry for over 25 years and understand the good these operations can do if run properly. In this video I saw good and bad examples. If you look at the video you will notice the wood being chipped is dead worthless wood which is a fire hazard but much of the remaining slash could have been chipped. The statement the slash has no demand is false (it's boimass) it's more like it was too much work for the operator.

just when you think that the swiss cheese landscape as far as the eye can see around washington and oregon was bad enough... comes a new incentive to wipe that shit (trees) CLEAR off the earth completely
