A few comments about that Series: The Rangers finished that season with 112 points. Canucks had 85. The Rangers outshot Vancouver badly in game one and if not for Kirk McLean would've won. The Rangers won Game 3 5-1. Richter stops Bure on a penalty shot In game 4 that would've made it 3-0 and the Rangers win 4-2. Kevin Lowe also hit a post in game 7 for NY in the third and the last 2 icings of Game 7 were the most ridiculous icings I've ever seen. The Rangers deserved to win hands down.

I remember this series all too well. The Canucks were one goalpost away from forcing OT and one goalpost away from winning Game 7.

That is why the Stanley Cup Playoffs has the most high drama playoff action than the NBA, NFL, or MLB playoffs. No disrespect to the other playoffs, but the NHL playoffs has this consistent unpredictability factor that those playoffs don't have very often.
