I agree SOME cyclists are stupid, but car and Taxi drivers are not blame free.
The City has a great bike hire scheme. It's made traffic movements easier and faster in Dublin. Those idiot cyclists could just as easily bee idiot Peds or Drivers.
@lanzecki In Dublin it's not SOME cyclists it's the MAJORITY of cyclists. There is no regulation or any sense of order. The MAJORITY of cyclists in Dublin go from A to B by the most convenient route with no regard for their own safety, other road users, pedestrians, laws or anything else. There has already been at least one fatality on a DCC bike. There will be more as long as fashion following politicians blindly pour more and more cyclists into what is, in effect, a lawless situation.

All such schemes have failed in Australia because we have compulsory helmet laws! Grrrr!
