I agree with the no online being a bummer. My friends and I all go to different colleges so the ability to play online would've been awesome. And honestly if you are going to have multiplayer you might as well add online, it has basically become a standard for how games are carried out nowadays. Great game anyways, I've played it to death.
Knives Add-On Pack gives this game drop in co-op. Fuck you IGN no one cares about your shitty reviews. Also Ubisoft didn't put in Online Co-Op because they wanted it to be a fun time with you, your friends, and pizza. Not a bunch of nerds hanging out online finding out glitches later on going to the site complaining about the game. When I played this game with friends we laughed when we found the glitches. @Gidy800 IGN reviewed this game as it was on release, without any add-on packs. No online co-op is a issue, in this day and age, you pretty much do have to have on-line co-op, especially if the game is a 2d beat-em-up like this. I still love this game, I just agree with IGN on this one.

I've beaten it twice by myself and with friends, and skill has nothing to do with game mechanics. The AI get really annoying when your by yourself... surrounded... and you haven't unlocked the guard roll yet.

it totally fucks me up that most games can only be played coop online! Like for example Dead Rising 2 or I don't know, there are thousands of others (came up with Dead Rising first cause I'm playing it right now). It sucks, man. Some people actually have friends and wanna play with them on one fucking Screen.
No online co-op is a downside, but it's not one that should get "magic points" taken off for it. Some of you might have a good bunch of friends willing to play through a game like this multiple times, but none of the ones I know are willing to past the one run I did with a group of me buddies.
Once the story is done, the action wears out for them. Online could have extended my love of this game.

This game should be a 9.9! Jeesus IGN, no online is the part of the retro-ness! And it does have drop-in co-op, just no drop out......... But it's an amazing game, seriously, get your act together man!!!

i would like it with or with out drop in/ drop out co-op mainly becousre alot of the times when my friends are over at my house we play games alot so it dosnt seem that bad. pluse i dont have a ps3 or a xbox 360 so i never play online( i have a ps2 and i know i can hock it up to the internet i dont want to, becaouse of all the dicks out there. not all of them are dicks but alot are depending on the game)

it totally fucks me up that most games can only be played coop online! Like for example Dead Rising 2 or I don't know, there are thousands of others (came up with Dead Rising first cause I'm playing it right now). It sucks, man. Some people actually have friends and wanna play with them on one fucking Screen.

No online co-op is a downside, but it's not one that should get "magic points" taken off for it. Some of you might have a good bunch of friends willing to play through a game like this multiple times, but none of the ones I know are willing to past the one run I did with a group of me buddies.
Once the story is done, the action wears out for them. Online could have extended my love of this game.

onine vs local? on online. i'll be staying silent when i win. and if i lose or get mad. i YELL and curse into the micophone and be filmed and put on youtube where other people can watch my maddness and make fun of me when they see my face on the street. vs i can give a high 5 to the person who help me and know that there not some time of preditor and when i get real mad i punch them in the face or just walk way and break a $.99 lamp.

Seriously? Oh no i have to sit in the actually same DAMN room as the other person instead of online, boo fuckin' hoo man. Thats a pitiful complaint. To tell you the truth sitting in a couch with my 3 friends instead of playing with " randompsnuser331 " is waay more enjoyable. Thats just me though i actually enjoy real human interaction.

If you play this game in a "Forever Alone Mode" Online with other strangers you will miss a hell load of Fun.
Get your Friends together and Play it on your Couch! Its awesome!!!
People without Friends could still rate this Game low, but remember: Its not because the Game sucks, its because they were to lazy to have Friends come around.
