  • At the beginning they are playing My Babe by Little Walter.

  • yeah... at least it's very similar... thanks for it!

  • It actually sounds even more like a number called "Whatcha Gonna Do",

performed in the 1965 UK film "Pop Gear"

by a singer named Billie Davis.

  • no,it's my babe by little walter

  • then it goes into green onions

  • Yeeeaah!

  • Keep on Truckin'!!

  • Steve Cropper Forever

  • As a 16-year old who is regularly exposed to rock, R&B, hip-hop, and rap, I still can't quite gain a liking for those kinds of music like the one I have for this. This famous tune is just amazing, and I really wish I could here more like it coming out of the radio these days.

  • good on you!!, i am the same, i can't get into all the modern crap!, this for me just sums up what music is REALLY about!

  • harry j & the allstars - the liquidator

the upsetters - return of django

    skatalites - don de lion

sort of tunes along the same lines as this, bit more trojan reggae tho.

  • This is my granma's favorite song.

  • ur grand ma rocks(respectfully)

  • haha good one

  • nazdar mahi ? nemožeš sa toho nabažiť ?

  • Translate please, marcuspublius...

  • why ? that was just a joke for my slovakian friend...

  • I saw these guys play in Bristol (UK) in 1963 when I was 15. With Otis Resdding and numerous other soul singers. The show was awesome, But GO is stil one of my top 10. I can play on the keyboard and the guitar but can't quite do "Booker T" and "Steve Cropper" - just a question of time.

  • No it's not really - if you ain't got it you ain't got it else you'd be doing it, sucker

  • damn you must be old

  • Nothing better than this (but check out Sam and Dave)..

  • EVERYBODY GET UP AND DANCE!!!!

  • Nice song love it could listin to it for ever!

  • These are just as great live as is there records with stax. Every now and then they'll play some where in memphis.

  • see the video of me covering Green Onions. I played all the instruments.

  • This is one of the tightest songs ever written. WAYYYY ahead of its time... just dirty rhythm and blues. I fucking love this song.

  • al jackson jr. toughest pocket inna bidness

  • woow this video has a surreal quality to it. the dancers look mesmerized to this awesome beat.

  • That's some Tough Ass Music. I like that song, also Hip-Hug-Her,and Boot-Leg are great.

  • Sandlot

  • If only we still had shows like Shindig and bands like this to go with HDTV! I think I was 13 back then.

  • cool the the chicks.

  • I agree its better than all the Sex driven, booty bumpin vids. Im not saying some of the RAP songs are bad jsut cut out some of the BUMPIN AND GRINDIN

  • I'm a black cat that thinks raps crap! (and most of it is!)

  • this is hot love and feelings coming out of their hearts, it's unbelievable...

  • When i die i want them to play this song t my death!!

  • Damn good music

  • Classic tune, love the video as well pure 60's with all the women bopping around lol, a great slice of time with a killer groove.

  • Saw Steve Cropper interviewed on a Beatles retrospective- "John Lennon's Jukebox". Great PBS program that reviewed Lennon's personal collection of favorite hit singles, and Booker T was among those key influences from whom the Beatles osmosed.

    Steve's interview was great.

  • Thanks very much. Not too bad for group of session men jamming at the end of a hard days work, originally eh. Steve Cropper was an unheralded GOD.

  • rememeber this being re-released & played at discos early '80s - such a cool, groovy vibey tune.

  • Saw them twice Atlantic City Pop Fest 6/69 and NYrsEve 1990, Lone Star Cafe, NYC, got to speak to Duck while he was duckin out between shows...the greatest group ever

  • yeah the are awsome your luky you got to see them i love this band!

Con esta cancion llego al extasissssssssss, oh diosssssssssss q buena es

  • !!!

  • that hammond has got it all going on

  • the best!!!!

  • lol the guy on guitar looks like j rock from tpb

  • This is what I listen to when I fire up the computer in the morning. I play it over and over... interesting thought... if you look at some of their performances during the seventies... they are so wasted and zoned. I feel really privileged to see this B & W early performance.

  • Absolutely in a class of its own brilliant

  • Yes I think that is the Watusi they are doing....I just think it really adds to the 60's atmosphere....These shows Hullabaloo and Shindig just had the great artists on them...I don't see this type show or performance anymore...sad.

  • Booker T really rocks...just a classic song that I could listen to over and over...makes me want to do the Watusi...

  • is that the dance?

    the watusi?

i do like the song though

  • Sweeeeeeeeet!

  • This song & dance is THE BOMB! meaning great.

  • Till this day...the ultimate greaser song...makes me wish i lived in the 50's and drove a deuce coupe

  • GRRAAANNNNDDEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Quite possibly the grooviest track ever!

  • Tall glass of the good stuff!! Brought to you by Shindig!

  • It'a all been downhill musically since this then.

    Nice C-3!

  • I'm View 22220!!!

  • i dig it, man

  • good shit man!

  • Pure fun - and they were actually smiling - what a difference to the pouts and snarls of today

  • I'll drink to that!

  • The posers of today try to hide their shallowness behind their pouts and snarls. In this era we are stuck with a bunch of wannabees who don't know what a real performance is.

  • Do you feel strange feeling all around your body while listening to this? I feel.

  • Damm this track grooves,badass!

  • As a 19 year old this has to be the earliest song i like along with reet petite and long tall sally

    All classics

    Shindig!!! lol

  • where's the music nowadays...? THIS was the music! AWESOME!

  • G_O_D_L_I_K_E

  • BAD ASS!

  • Those girls look like oompa loompa's from a distance, who agrees?

  • i agree.

  • Look Man, no cords!!!!

  • Why cant bands be more like them today.

  • Very cool

  • Green Onions...Mayne!!
