I hope you're joking about the 3C. It's hugely telegraphed, slow, and very punishable. The only use for it is to land it on CH so you can combo. Also, FRKZ is not his best all the time since some people don't even use it. They enhancements are nice but difficult to control. Dora is good with it but it' not the best.
While I agree with you on the 3C, saying that FRKZ isn't amazing because it's hard to use or that some people opt not to is insane. It is the most important "activation" super in the game, hands down.
If people can win without it, it's not one of the most important supers. It gives you opportunities for huge damage, but it is not necessary. Blood Kain could be just as effective but be much easier to use. All you have to do is time the j.Ds properly.
man this match was just massive amounts of epic. the combos were unlike anything ive ever seen. those 14 hit ragna combos did like 65% damage and watching this bang was like poetry in motion. absolutely stunning.
Lol at the idiotic "honor". You play any competitive game or event primarily to WIN. If you're opponent is stupid enough to lose to an easy tactic, why not use it? Seriously, Shindrah09 owned you in this "argument", the funniest part being that you don't even realize it.
Buppa seems to be cycling through alot of characters but I kind of liked it when he used Hakumen. And also when Dora did Furinkazan why consider it dishonorable? Clinging to such thought will limit yourself as a player you have to cast that aside before you can truly become better as only then will you utilize your characters tools to their full potential.
Actually, Buppa only plays Haku-men and Ragna, and switches between them pretty often. Hes still a better Haku-men player.
And I don't consider Furinkazan dishonorable in itself, it's great and all, but the part where Dora kept running away. I've heard from many of his fans that they're a bit disappointed, and it's even been made fun about (Can't Touch This etc). Still, I guess a win is a win and as that wasn't a tourney match, it's not that serious. But if it were a ranking match..
Really? I could've sworn during the early life of this game Buppa played Jin for awhile. Regardless I realized I've yet to thank you for the video :) time to lurk on Nico for more XD
"Zero since"..? Well, to be honest, none of your examples really fit into this. More like.. Hiding in the crowd when the ball's flying at you.
Plus, you're taking it way heavier than you're supposed to. I'm not saying that Dora, who's a freaking awesome player, should be banned or anything. Just that up there in that vid, he's doing the exact thing that made the developers set 1 as Bang's negative penalty rate.
If you go online with that attitude, you'll ruin many people's experience.
You don't win games by Hiding in the crowd when the ball's flying at you.
Mine seem to make much better since than yours.
There's probably not 1 game out there that is played exactly like the developers first envisioned it. I bet some developers want their players to influence how the game is played.
The only experiences I'll be ruining will be the ones that play with "honor" which will be a good thing. Most players will keep into account the "dishonorable" act, and try to counter it later.
people "like him", the ones who will use anything they can to win, will always exist. it's not his job to limit himself; that job belongs to the game designers.
the point is to make sure that for every punch, there's a knife; for every knife, a sword; for every sword, a shield; for every shield, a gun. attacking a person's personality makes no sense. if you want no such behavior, then stop them yourself.. in the game. no one's gonna play how you want them to
You've got a good point there, I'm just astounded by how someone can willingly ruin the game for many others. It's not like fight points are the most important thing in life.
I'm well experienced in BlazBlue, so I can say with confidence that I'm able to beat these kinds of "anything to win"-players to the ground. I still prefer actually being in the same room as the people I'm playing against, so I doubt I'll ever go online fighting random people. I'd be bound to see these guys.
I don't see how winning by time out is any worse than winning another way. People do it in sports all the time. If you have the match in the bag, it's your job to keep it there.
Bro. "Sense" is the word you're looking for. "Since" is a reference to a point in time.
Other than that, solid points. Competitive fighters look back at SSF2T tournaments and remember the Tiger Shot/Tiger Uppercut spam. So, now, anything that looks like it can give a definitive edge over ALL other characters is seen as "dishonorable". Yet, they have no qualms picking MSP in MvC2, despite every match involving them to be the same boring repetition over and over.
So he just recently went back to Jin after figuring that Ragna's not his type, haha. He still uses Haku-men, and I personally think his Haku-men's better than his Jin.
Yeah, he wasn't half bad as Ragna. There're just so many Ragnas around.. I guess he wanted to stick out and let the guys who'd played Ragna longer do their thing.
Well, like in every fighting game, you have alternate character colors. You can choose your sprite color in the character selection screen to stand out a bit, haha.
Not really a dirty combo since its just a simple loop, compared to Carl's its nothing. Dora likes to run away at times with Band and uses the Bang install that he has to dash his way to victory in some of his vids that i have seen.
Using Furinkazan to time out is pretty lame if you ask me. I mean, yeah it works, but where's the honor in THAT? Granted winning > honor nowadays...oh well.
Yeah, it's hard to imagine a high-league player such as Dora doing something as dishonorable as that. I bet Dora's reputation lost a few points, haha.
"dishonorable" is there even such a thing in video games?
Is there some unwritten rule that people can't do something to win at all costs?
It's actually not "hard to imagine" at all, every "high-league" player will do anything they can too win as long as its within the rules, in fact that's how they got there.
This type of mind set is running rampant and its really annoying.
Yup, Dora's a better Bang player, and now that Shadow's officially switched over to Rachel, the title of Bang Master is practically Dora's for taking.
Interesting, Shadow now uses Rachel? Hmm, i remember before him playing as Hakumen and Bang at times and then he used to play a pretty good Ragna that was purely rush down. And now Rachel. I need to find a vid of him playing as her.
Yeah it was Ragna first, then Bang, and a while ago he changed to Rachel. One of his reasons is that since he wants to qualify for SBO 09, he wants to be able to stand up against the many Arakunes that are entering, among others.
*Sigh* Ah, greatness, back when barrier bursts were battier bursts and bang wasn't top tier, oh how i miss it!

When 2d fighter players talk about attacks; we use this notation:
789
567
123
It's the direction on a keypad and notates what direction to point the stick, assuming your character is facing the right of the screen.
Bangs 3C (diagonal down strong) makes bang do a low slide, which in my opinion just fucks everyone up.
deafinmyrighteye 2 years ago
Wait, I'm stupid, I forgot the 4.

Buppa either played or plays, a lot of jin, theres at least 25 videos of him playing jin on youtube.
Shindrah09 2 years ago
Yeah, he played Jin for the first few months. Then Haku-men was unlocked, so he started switching between Jin and him.
But some time ago he realised his style fits Ragna more than Jin, so now he's playing Ragna and Haku-men, but still concentrates more on Haku-men.

Wow, just wow, your mind set makes ZERO since in the world of competitive gaming.
You wouldn't shoot at a goal with no goaly in soccer?
You wouldn't slam dunk it when you were all alone charging the net in basketball?
You wouldn't foul someone on purpose to give your team the edge in say basketball?
You wouldn't play the ball too a football teams weak side?
and all of this to retain your "honor"
Your calling any professional sport dishonorable?
ZERO SINCE, is what your making.

I was considering his GG past it seemed he uses Jin as default at the beginning. so currently he uses Ragna and Haku-men now?

This is basically how it goes:
First few months: Jin
Haku-men unlocked: Jin, Haku-men
A few months later: Haku-men, Ragna
A few weeks ago: Haku-men, Jin
So he just recently went back to Jin after figuring that Ragna's not his type, haha. He still uses Haku-men, and I personally think his Haku-men's better than his Jin.
