  • Hidden gem of a performance.

  • I was at this show, and I'm trying to remember the name of the opening band...they were a death metal band from (I think) either PA or MD...they played NYC a lot, usually opening for bands like Deicide, Obituary, Suffocation, etc. If you were at this show and know who I'm talking about, please help me out! Thanks!

  • Father Bakers! Whose that?

  • The drummers a fucking machine on every song!

  • "Anyone can play the guitars"--and apparently anyone can post. Sorry, but the replacement guitarists play their own versions of the various Hoffman solos--usually without that unique combination of eeriness and technicality the Hoffmans specialized in. Heard Dave Suzuki on some of the Live in London tracks--skilled, but nothing special. Owens and Santolla are good on their solos, of course, but butcher (Owens) or prettify (Santolla) the Hoffman solos. Want to dispute this? You won't win.

  • @CincinnatusUSA

Yeh your right on man. The Hoffmans give the sound to Deicide wether they wrote the music or not. Every album up to Scars has that sound with fast tight quality palm muting. That was the Deicide sound n the sollo's are just fucking awesome. The new albums are quality though!!

  • Awesome. At Father Baker's that pain is divine. Hail Deicide.

  • This band was always great from beginning to now. Their last two albums are musically their best. Benton and Asheim are Deicide. Anyone can play the guitars, that does not make this band.

  • Fuk yeah. My favourite Deicide...Brutal

  • one of the best songs in their carreer

    killer video thanks brother

  • whats with the crowd?

no weed smoke, no beers, no moshing...

  • i think they were shocked

  • Benton once said, that he is Deicide.

    No Hoffmans were!

Look at complex and sicks stuff they've composed on first albums!

Pure classics, and even Owen or Stanolla can't top that work of art!

  • YESSSSSSSSSS !!

hoffman bros are the shit, i respect them so much

  • You better know the Bible Verse! Deicide rules!

  • @anahowana Hoffman bros write way more aggressive work. I quit listening to deicide when they left.

  • @URMUSICISGAY i did the same thing, graduately!i still love Asheim drumming but guitarwise hoffman bros were the bomb. can't wait to hear their new/old band Amon: new album Liar in Wait!

  • as much as we would like to think ralph and owen could i am sorry to say they actualy really cant. Hoffmans has a certain style and sheer brutality that matched with the bass and steves drums..own and sant. are not as tight.

  • What about Suzuki!?

  • wow, good quality.

  • Deicide with hair cannot be denied

  • hoffman brothers were best in deicide

  • amen bro!i don't know why some fuckers who claim to be fans talk shit about hoffman bros!i appreciate jack owen while i despite santolla, i used to like him because of his rich muscical background(death, iced earth, obituary) but i talked to him once and discovered that hes selfish...jerk!!well, no wonder that he didn't stay with schuldiner !! anyway

hoffman bros are the best, the eseence of deicide, no 1 fit their place and no one will do it!! man just re-listen to serpent of the light! CRAZY!!

  • Last time I saw Deicide was with the Hoffman bros. I think they wrote evil sounding solos and riffs.. hell just my opinion.

  • this is it man!! it's all about this black and evil feeling and sounding riffs and solos!! it's like if they go from time to time to hell in order to get some moments of clarity and inspiration then they come back :):):)

  • DEICIDE FOREVER!

  • Hail Deicide!
