I did everything the read me text thing said. i opened halo then i opened STL then it said something with an update and it might throw some exeptions do you want to reconized i click yes when i went back on halo it said gathering exeption data plz help!

@891610richard The file can be anywhere but you may as well put it on the Desktop or in the Halo root directory.

Just have your frame rate locked in at 30.

@matthewzguitarz13 some antivirus' do that, i learned that the hard way. Look up on the internet on how antivirus' work and then check out how 'cracked games" register on them... to be blunt about what your antivirus' problem is: it picks it up as a "foreign' file that "changes" how a program works, in this case that program would be halo. files that do such things that aren't registered as 'safe' in your antivirus' safe list are immediately called out and in some, immediately quarantined :P

@therepth Yeah, its because of the sequence Halo does when updating and rendering the player. Its fixable but there are no plans to, it would be done by calling the player update function within the render code. or at least fixing the player position just before the render calls.

@limited06 What I am saying is, copy the maps folder and put it on the desktop. Then uninstall Halo Custom Edition and reinstall it. Replace the maps folder in Halo CE with the one on your desktop. Download the version changer. Then go to hce.halomaps.org. go to the custom ui files section then download orginal ui plus made by rambo. Replace the old ui with this one and it will have no update support inside of halo ce. Activate console and type "version 1.09ce" without the quotes. Join a server.

@XERZUS Yes but what I am saying, is the executable version 1.09, the code is different to 1.08. The app works with the 1.09 CODE. Version changers simply change the version number that gamespy picks up, the original code is still untouched. Therefore this only works with 1.09 executable files.

@XERZUS Hmm that is very weird, what antivirus are you running? No one else has ever had this problem, and I can assure you its not a virus. It might be to do with it has a DLL, the exe basically injects the DLL into Halo's memory. Some antiviruses see that as a virus. You can either add it as exception if you feel you can trust me, or delete it and not use it.

@limited06 I got the old Halo Third Person and FOV to work! You know the old one from bitterbanana. What i did was uninstall Halo CE. Then reinstall it. Put in the version changer. Then got a ui.map that has no update support from halomaps.org and it works! LOLZ.

@man57100 The issue is the problem is very inconsistent, hard for me to come across it to look into it. So having more information about what is happening is vital.

Do any options work in game? It uses .Net Framework 2.0, make sure you have it installed.

Yeah the issue is its being constantly updated, this needs to be fixed, thats really only thing holding up the release, and the fact I'm swamped with work but I really want to release it asap.

Either by programming people needed it for CE, but my guess is since CE and PC run different systems no. However he could mean CE as combat evolved as theres always that misconseption i dunno, I had one set for both before.
