@BoyneMaiden it has been updated....how can you say there´s no combos or cascades? because YOU DONT KNOW HOW THE FUCK to play. make combos by combining for random luck ad there u go.
I don't know why he completed level 13 did whell popped when the bomb gem reached 0 or the doom gem exploded. I think it bomb gem danger level 1 danger level 2 at last danger level 3 level 13 failed
Thanks for making this game PopCap. By The Way I have always wanted a Phineas and Ferb themed Bejeweled. Ya know the gems are shaped like the characters from Phineas and Ferb. Wouldn't it be awesome.
Dear Popcap, I recently spun the wheel and landed on the crossbones. Before the game took game over, I closed it, and reopened it, and resumes my game, where the bomb was still zero, and the disarm wheel restarted up.
I repeated this and everytime, no matter when I pressed the Stop button, it landed exactly the same every time, on the crossbones, and this was my first bomb to hit zero, so I should only have a 25% of losing.
I even used a program to slow the game speed down... same results.
I slowed it down to 50%... then 25% and even, 10% of the game's normal speed, I let the wheel spin, I hit the stop button when the jewels were perfectly lined up with the bomb and.... it stops right on crossbones. Is the disarm wheel a 100% real skill stop...or is our fate of game over decided before we even stop the wheel?
No, it doesn't. When the wheel comes up, your fate of winning and losing has already been decided. Clicking the stop button does not change this. I already emailed popcap about it and they themselves even admitted that the wheel is not a skill-stopper.
I feel that Bomb and Doom Gems make a nice touch to the game, on top of introducing music from Phillipe Charon into the game and rotating gems instead of swapping them. Challenge Mode is probably my favourite mode.
I honestly find the Doom Gems to be quite harmless. It's the Bomb Gems that deserve more attention, since they count down on every turn.
What I usually do in Classic Mode and Survivor Eclipse is to work my way towards getting at least a Flame Gem so that I can put it beside the Doom Gem and blow both up when I absolutely have to.
It's better then losing flat out. Honestly, the game bends the favor to you earlier in the game, without you even really knowing. You could not let a bomb go off up to like level 15, and you'll still find it much harder to actually win.
I think this is perhaps the best way to actually implement a "lives" system in this type of game, if you want my honest opinion. This whole game is to a limited degree luck, if not much less then in past Bejeweled Games, it's still luck. Magnificent game though.
The bombs are a nice touch indeed. I like how the music reacts to the danger, altho at times, bombs land in places that I just can't reach unless I make moves to lower the multplier... then again, I suppose that is a trade off.
Risk taking a spin to disarm, or live to rebuild the multiplier...
Haha, my only thought when I first played the game is:
"When are game designers going to learn that making the music FASTER when the chances of losing is HIGHER, does NOT make it EASIER." Haha, I still love it though. Get's your heart racing sometimes.
Bombs are bad news--that is why I'm deducing Bejeweled Twist to have a higher learning curve. Doomsday Gems are even worse. It looks like PopCap must be more serious about amping the challenge in their popular casual franchise.
Yep. Bejeweled Twist has a lot more difficulty in it, but we think that's part of what makes it more fun over time. The game also has a Zen Mode where there are no bombs, but you still get to blow up coal for points, etc.
@BoyneMaiden hey man calm down! i was just wondering,

Something pretty weird happened to me too.
EVERY TIME I had only had only one pair of gems for me to match on the wheel.
It stopped on the GEMS,
EVERY TIME.

@crapoartworks well, the spinner DOES keep slowing down after you press stop
so the chances are balanced on symbols.

Doom gems count down on every matchless turn to make them less dangerous, because they don't have a disarm wheel, so THEY deserve more attention.
