  • I have an Akita 7 month old male and he loves to chew on his bones too. So beautiful

  • @thaivo07 2 full grown akitas can take a bear.

  • Nice Akitas!

  • Many moons ago, akitas were used to hunt bears! Yes, you read that correctly, BEARS! So no, a wolf or a pitbull would have posed much of a problem. Keep in mind that they are no longer raised to hunt and/or kill NOR should a pitbull or wolf be raised that way! Doing so only creates a negative reputation for the breed and the only ones who suffer are the dogs and their victim(s). Raise your dogs right and we can all live together peacefully! WOOF!

  • very true even now akitas actually watch the kids act very young ages at 3 in japan and the kids would never get hurt in fact my first akita saved my life cus we use to live in a very large house and i was 2 and i was about to go down the stairs and the akita was so smart that it block me from the stairs and was trying to find my extra fur but didn't grab me at all it bark for my mom and the doctor told my mom if it wasn't for the akita your kid would of been died

  • awe what big beautiful babies! I have 2 myself - a traditional male with brown saddle and muzzle (Taro) and a white one (also named Hoshi) I had to put the momma down due to Pemphigus Foliacious but the other 2 are doing fine. Male is 10, female (Hoshi) is almost 8. I sold a litter of pups before Momma passed (she was Yuki and she was my baby) This is a serious breed and not for the person who thinks a pet is something you tie to a tree in the yard! Cherish it, and it will cherish you!

  • i also have a white akita she is 11 months and i also have a brown and white akita called venom, they are both b3eautiful dogs and i to think that if you treat your dog right it willbe loyal to you and your family.

  • Those are beautiful. So the dark one is an American Akita and the white one a japanese akita?

  • Cirrus (white) & Hoshi (darker) are half brother & sister. Both from what would be called American Akita lines.

  • that looked like my dog spike, akitas are real cool dogs.. sadly.. mine past away 2 years ago.

  • you have beautiful dogs, obviously well loved.. I absolutely love my akita too, he's got honor and integrity, and in keeping with the breed standard, he's all heart.

  • All the positive things are true but need an intelligent and loving owner. This is NOT the dog to buy for the kids to raise.

  • Beautiful Akita. I had one for 15 years and nothing will ever replace her. She was awesome. I miss her. This reminds me when it snowed here in Texas (rarely) how much she loved to go and play in it. Thanks for the Video.

  • They were used in Japan as fighting dogs unfortunately. We who love the breed have worked help regain blance in the breed. They are dominant, intelligent, loyal dogs. They don't go out of their way to prove themselves, they have no need to, they are confident at heart.

  • Soo cuteee, I love the one with the dark face! I'm taking care of my brother's Akita. He's a sweetheart. =)

  • the ultimate dog breed, love em.

  • Idiot

  • ditto on the "idiot" who knows so little about the noble & loving Akita! Total ignorance. Should not own any animals if that is what he thinks having one is all about.

  • its funny, i have a white akita and a longcoat too. except mines called moshi, not hoshi

  • What does Moshi mean? Hoshi is normal coated although she has a thick coat.

  • Nice Akitas!

  • Thanks, they are wonderful friends!
