i am very interested in these various kga traps and i use them to good effect both on the internet and in my chess club. as to "only idiots fall for these traps." not true! i have seen very good players lose time after time to the simplest traps and the kga is full of them. I would appreciate it if you would publish the pgn for these traps because i, for one, do take note of them and i do in fact use them.
I like this, and similar to other comments I question why Ng6 is poor. I saw your d4 move "planning on taking with bishop on c1" but wouldn't black's response be d1? wouldn't eventually king move to d1 after white Ne5 etc? I'm not sure how this could play out for checkmate, or even black's favor..... but still very cool! :)
if his knight comes out to f6, white takes f7, the opponents king moves to d8, then queen takes the knight, which is also a check to the king, then queen takes the rook on h. So black is still in disadvantage.
what if black move knight from g8 to h6 to support pawn in f7, instead of the nonsense bishop f8 to g7. Therefore, King's Gambit still losing the game.
This is a clever trap. From blacks side if they dont calculate it out far enough it looks like they can win a rook with 5...Qh4+. I think the position is lost for black after 7...g2+ as I don't see any defense to the trap line after 8. QxQ.

That was horrible, black had a great game basically the whole time, you would have to go out of your way to play that horribly at the end

What if black responds with knight to h6 instead of bishop to e7? After d3 and d6 for black I have black up in material a knight to two pawns?

After the Queen moves to h5 attacking f7 with the Knight, the black Knight should defend at h6.

I wish I knew that...that exact black defense has been done to me. I would have won if I knew this.

@linxkulit well white could respond d4 planning on taking with bishop on c1 therefore winning a piece hence f7 will still be attacked for mate

It would take a stroke of luck to even get that far, but it could be done. Did this happen in one of your personal games?
