@Shep9250 one of the more attention grabbing pieces of this masterpiece is the stuttering in the singing. The forst effect was: who would DO that in a song..unpolished don't give a f* attitude. Brillinat!
For a 6th grade graduation gift (age 10!), my aunt bought me a casette of "Meaty Beaty Big & Bouncy" as suggested by the record store clerk. Then, in the summer of '79, this film came out and I was hooked...a Who fanatic for life.
i think i honestley am keith in a new form. im born on the same day as him, i play with the same style, i look like him, i act like him, and ive been playing the drums since i was one month old. my parents got me a little toy drum and i made a video. i was awsome!
@PepperDr94 Tommy Smothers. He and his brother Dick had a variety show in the 60s and The Who were one of their favorites so I remember seing in an interview. Enjoy this movie!!
in my past life i think i was a groupie and i had keiths child and john loved me more then yoko and mick and keith faught over me ....well in my past life anyway , in this life im a 14 year old native girl from canada , wonder if keith remembers me, wonder if yokos still envyous , well ill know when i die
if you did help break up the beatles. alot of us old timers are going to find you and kick your ASS!!!! lol just kidding. have a good life in this one my dear. i pray this will be a good one for you. love the FROGMAN
The guy in black is John, and you're sorta right LOL. A lot of the songs (which Pete- the guitarist- wrote) he didn't like. Or at least he didn't like playing. However, he's one hell of a bass player.
the good ol' days of rock n roll when music was much much better than the crap that we have today!!!!!! boy, was i born in the wrong age and do i want to go back to the golden age of rock n roll!!!!!!
An incredibly great Rock-Documentary, with a refreshing lack of dull narration and pointless interviews--just 2 hours of pure musical mayhem.
I bought the double (or was it triple?) album soundtrack back in '79 when it first came out, but never did get to see the film. None of the lame-ass theaters in the area would ever show it!
I read that he had to bribe one of the stage tech's to do it but yeah, same result... Nearly blew his leg off .... and the static effect on their hair in the resulting 'interview' cracks me up every time.
Thanks for taking the time to upload all of this great film mate.
TY so much beatledude for this post. FINALLY someone posted it on YT. the who are by far my favorite rock band ever so this is awesome. keep up the good work.
