My dog died on Friday.

I tried to get over it quickly, be strong for my family.

The next day, I listened to this song and put it on repeat.

I cried so much. This song helped me let go, helped me mourn for real.

@Tugrulejder Does it matter? Music is an art form, and art can be interpreted in any way possible. The listener can apply his or her own meaning to a piece of music, whether the artist intended it or not.

Besides, this song was written in memory of her little sister who died at a young age, so the theme of death makes its presence both lyrically and musically. In this case, I feel that it's natural for me to connect the feelings for my dog with this song.

@Tugrulejder The love that a person has for an animal is hard to describe, but I would say that it's the same love you'd have for a baby. They love you so much, are always happy to see you, and you love them back. You always want to cuddle with them, kiss them, hug them, and they bring so much joy in your life. They can't talk, so you never know what's on their mind, but you know that they love you just by their actions.

Trust me, you'll understand when you learn to love a pet.

@SBw00t i agree with you..my first dog died on the 30 december 2010..there goes no day where his absence doesn't hurt..hugo, bby,:( rip, we all love u so much and cant stop missing you..;(((i remember the night before you died, there was an explosion near home and you were so frightened, i can still remember you trembling. i picked you up and gave you the biggest hug until u were finally better ..if i knew that u were going to be ran over by a car the next day, i would have never let go...;;;(

I know exactly how you feel. Our first dog, Charlie, was hit by a school bus. I was in school then, but my sister saw the accident and it left a huge impact on her.

It's always hard after the few first days, but eventually, we learn to move on. Now, when I look at pictures of Charlie and Toby, I smile, because I remember the happy times.

I hope that one day, you'll be able to do the same.
