HELP. when i do the things with the rectangle, it only aplies to one spot. i.e each frame has the same rectangle, even when i move it, it applies it to all frames. HELP PLEASE!

When I move along a frame, each time changing the rectangles position, in the rendered video it just stays in the last place I put it in. HELP!

what if you want to work with widescreen, because the shape gets cut off a bit at the edges.

the begining was done with live type right? if so how did you get the back round to show up.... when i olace it as a new track or somthing it renders as a black backround, but with the right lettering, please help.

when you render you have to select the option to render background

every time i move the blade for a keyframe only part of the blade goes with it, do i really have to move all four clips for every frame or is there a way to stream-line this(a way to manipulate multiple clips at once)

im not sure what you mean by the first part, maybe you are not keyframing all corners of the blade. and second, you leave it as a white core until you are done keyframing, and then when you are done you can copy it up like i showed you, and it will copy the keyframes to the clips above (the glow).

i've noticed that putting a keyframe every other frame and letting final cut tween the others actually makes the saber look more realistic

somethign that pisses me off about Final Cut express, is the way you have to keyframe every thing, and go from the canvas to the viewer, to click the point syou want to move...as in After effects, you just click over to the next frame, move the matte, and it automaticly saves keyframe changes, and you dont have to click anythign but the corner of the matte, to move it..instead of goign from one place to another...is there any shrtcut keys to moving matte points in final cut?
