Eric Singer just rocks what a well rounded performer. Does the Cat Man outfit justice. Peter only wish he could be this good. With Eric he at least looks like he enjoys what he is doing.
One thing I like about this current KISS lineup is that they can play any song from any era close to the record versions. They have the flexibility that none of the other lineups have.
@van76 True. In my estimation, Singer and Thayer are underestimated. And that is because almost all KISS fans stuck with Ace and Peter. But let's face it, they lost it years and years ago. The reunion and psycho tours were often horrible. With this line-up it's always topnotch.
@ajaxrules1975 I remember seeing the Farewell Tour at the Meadowlands and it was very sad. Ace was all over the place and Peter's meter was so bad that Paul spent more time furiously tapping his leg trying to keep peter in time than he was entertaining. The Reunion Tour was very (surprisingly) good for the ost part. it just went down and down as each tour progressed. I applaud Paul & Gene for making some difficult decisiond. However, I do wish they'd retire Peter & Ace's makeup.
My dream setlist; Let me know/strange ways/mainline/getaway/two timer/anything for my baby/love her all i can/flaming youth/sweet pain/take me/baby driver/mr speed/makin love/ladies room/hooligan/magic touch/is that you/ easy as it seems/the oath/rock n roll hell/exciter/thou shalt not/black diamond.
@FunkyShotsProduction Singer's voice is anything but an attempted copy of Peter's. And he's hardly trying to copy the Catman, especially since he was in the band for 12 years or so before actually putting on the cat makeup. He's also a more talented drummer anyway.
They should have recorded one of the shows on the KISS Kruise professionally, NOW that would have been a awesome DVD! With extra's like the unmasked performance, Q&A and other great stuff.. Maybe some to think about Gene & Paul for next years KISS Kruise?
@necramoniumdotc0m you know they did this is just for the internet upload, it's a great marketing tool to get you to buy the good quality stuff when it comes out... i hope they do it
@necramoniumdotc0m This is now part of KISStory so watch out for it on a DVD I just bought a 6 DVD set from 1966 to 1999 for almost 50.00 at a discount, yes 1966 I'll be getting the 2nd box set soon it's a really nice set with a book that goes with it, worth the money and I don't spend much on Kiss stuff just T-shirts at concerts and CD's but this is part of my history of Kiss too.
@necramoniumdotc0m i have heard that they at least professionally videotaped the acoustic show. and also the electric shows were simulcast across the boat so they must have been proshot to some capacity.
They need to realize...only the true hard core fans are seeing them now. They might as well play these gems. At least to introduce them to the younger fans.
@ribadude Casual fans are going. The band is a huge draw concert wise, not all of those are hardcore fans. It's great to hear this stuff, but...ignoring the hits and the stuff people outside of KISS-Fandom knows is a smart thing to do. Once went to an Aerosmith concert and they avoided the hits. Total dead crowd besides me being excited to hear stuff like 'Uncle Salty'. I understand why bands don't cater to casual fans. And I'm okay with that.
I wish KISS would realize that there is a lot of us that would rather hear some of these older rare songs on a tour instead of the same songs over and over each year they tour. i know there is a handful of songs that they have to play, but would it kill them to have 25% of a concert be some never played song or a song that was only play for a certain tour and then shelved....
These Kruise shows are proof that if they want to they can.. no more excuses
@JoeCrotchburger "These Kruise shows are proof that if they want to they can.. no more excuses"
The Kruise was attended by the most ardent loyal fans and not representative of statistically of those that attend the concerts in general. Therefore, unfortunately, the Kruise has not proven that at all.
@JoeCrotchburger Thank you I thought me and a friend of mine were the only people that was tires of Rock and roll allnight on every greatest hits albums and every concert I like stuff off the albums that never get played also like music from the elder.

Far away from the real catman.
No one got that raspy charismatic soul voice like Peter Criss.
He had the best voice from all of them & so Beth/Hard Luck Woman became Hits,
but Singer try to copy him - so it's a compliment.
Though other Covercatmans did it better...

@FunkyShotsProduction
Oh man ... I agree 1000 % with you.
The best of Kiss (including the best albums and dressed to kill is a great one) was made by four guys and Peter do all the diference.
