Thanks for these videos, i too love the ST's music, i personaly think it has way more 'character' than the Amigas samped sound, which jsut sounds a bit boring to me. But i can listen to those ST sounds all day!
Why the Music on the Atari ST sucked so much compared to the Amiga? Many musicians from that time had an ST for professional music making. So why the music in games was so bad compared to the amiga?
@RonTaboga Professional musicians tended to use the Atari ST's built in MIDI ports to control their own expensive sound hardware. Not many games had a MIDI soundtrack because most gamers wouldn't have that hardware. The built-in sound device (YM2149) had three simple oscillators and a noise generator; it was a fairly limited palette of sound compared to the Amiga, which had built-in a four channel sampler (it could play back recorded sounds on each channel, not just a simple oscillation).
@Sakanakao As you say the atari had a unique in its sound that the amiga lost with its samples. Thanks a lot for bringing that soundtrack on the web ! I never forget those songs and still sing them even though I havent played toki in maybe 10 years.

@brobbeh Yeah, I felt the same way when I saw their trailer for it. Excited about playing it, but really missed the music.
