ouch! i hope she was ok! at my ranch, theres no rule that says you have to jump with padding because it gets really hot here, but there is a rule that says when your jumping, you MUST have a trainer or someone 18 years if your a minor, and that ALL riders MUST wear a helmet while jumping, and it is recommended you wear a helmet even for flatwork, because you never know what could happen; last year i was bucked off really badly during a dressage lesson, for instance.

LMAO wooowww i know exactly how she feels except my horse poped a jump and then bolted and bucked and my foot got caught in the stirrup and tore my ligaments and tendants looll except i had to get my dad to drive to the hospital

and i ended up getting thrown like a rag doll, cracked 3 ribs and had internal bleeding and horrible gash that was about an inch deep into my left hip and there was a hook that got caught on my back and ripped it from top to bottom. i'm better now, but that was the scariest thing of my life. the horse ended up going to a young girl who didnt know how to ride, who was almost killed by him because he pinned her against the stall wall..i hope you were okay! i know how scary these are.

@leviskybelle i got thrashed too (many times). a year ago i was bucked into a metal fence that caused me to get all these scrapes down my entire back, and i was unable to walk or sit for 2 weeks cause i hurt my leg and tailbone. i also found out that if i hadnt been wearing a helmet, then me ending up in a coma would have been best case senario because i hit my head 6 times in 2 seconds. falls like that are friggen scary, even if you are uninjured!

i only had to go to the e.r one time.

i had a horse on trial, 17 h TB gelding, he was about 9 yrs old. and he was the sweetest thing but he got agressive during feeding time, well we jumped a small 2ft rail, and after we jumped we were cantering around , and when he got to the gate he charged and he wouldnt stop for anything and my instructor told me to do an emercengy dismount, and when i did, he slammed me into the indoor areana door

@leviskybelle i only had to go to the ER once too. i was having a jumping lesson on this sweet little old mare (when i was a beginner) and she got a little too excided for jumping. we were jumping a tiny crossrail at a trot and all of a sudden she broke into a full gallop and i could not stop her or even slow her down no matter what i tried. i hadnt learned how to bail out yet so i tried turning her in a circle after the jump, and lets just say i ended up on the ground with a broken shoulder.

A girl got bucked off recently.

I had to cling onto a rearing 15hh stocky gelding as the air abulance landed in the field right beside us.

The girl's fine but hasn't come back yet.

It was one the most scary things.

She had blood pouring from her mouth and well.... yeah...
