  • I love this product and I have combination-oily skin. I use the lightest yellow-based shade--I'm so glad that I'm so pale because I always know what color to get. I just powder my T-Zone with a full powder puff, knock the excess off with powder brush, and it looks beautiful. It stays on, doesn't look greasy, or oily, and it gives me a beautiful finish to the skin. :)

  • WHOOOOOOA hahaha watching this after your winter 2011 videos is like HOLY BROWN SKIN hahahahahhaaaaa

  • you should try the dream matte one which doesnt come in a liquid formulation

  • you sound like you have oily skin

  • Its alright, it made me brake out a lot on my forehead though but I really need a foundation because my skin tone is uneven /:

  • You always have negative comments about drug store products.

  • um instead of worrying that the colours above that is too dark, i think you should buy like 3 shades lighter hun

  • That is not your shade.

  • Is this the same as the maybelline dream satin liquid i live in the uk an it said it another bid that there the same product with different names if so then I love this

  • If you have pale skin you should use the porcelain or ivory shade, make up is meant to be the same colour as your skin, only buy beige if its near to your natural skin colour

  • Wait why is your face brown

  • This foundation is gross. It claims to be oil free but my face got so shiny and blotchy. My skin isn't even that oily. Stay away people!

  • I used to LOVEE this foundation.. but after about a week.. I started breaking out horribly! My skin looked like a tomato garden.. I tried this about 3 months ago, and I STILL have blemishes from it! No matter what I do it won't go away.. I used to have beautiful, clear skin.. then this just.. killed my skin.

  • It works good idk what your talking about!

  • U still look oily

  • Ok i have been using this for 4 yrars or so all through highschool but i do know what you meana bout the dewy oily looking skin, but i dont think it neccisary think its oily looking, its more dewy looking and the coverage stays there but it looks dewy i have combination skina nd it kind of bothers me thats why i ahve been only using primer then a translucent powder to control oil, foundation is to much for my skin, only if im breaking out will i use it, im afraid using differnt ones and good ones

  • it works GREAT 4 mee :):):)

  • this foundation SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSS. it broke my skin out. and made it look SOO freaking oily. worst foundation ever.

  • i just tried this yesterday from walmart in 3.5.

    IT MADE MY SKIN ORANGE!

    IM RETURNING IT. :(

  • I agreed. I have oily skin and this make it look worst. I hate this foundation. Not for me.

  • The first time I tried this I was amazed! It covered every flaw I had & I was pleased. Unfortunately after a week of using it, I noticed breakouts happening on my forehead & around my lip. I didn't think much it until it got worse & I decided not to wear for one day & at the end of the day I did not have any breaks out. So if u have oily/dry/sensitive skin, don't use it :(

  • i went to buy it today and since its sealed ont he pump i twist open the top to see the color (:!

  • my fave foundation for higher coverage :)

  • I have this foundation and i have oliy skin an it works AMAZZING!

  • You look to brown

  • i love it! in Europe we usually have pumps in foundations and this did have too and the packaging is really cute. the pump is really nice. the color matches me perfectly, even thought we have crappy color ranges in Finland :) it applyes amaaaazingly, doesnt clog my big pores and looks&feels like my skin. the finish is really pretty between dewy and matte. it stays on my skin all day. the only con is that it doesnt have any SPF. well, i use this only at winter time, so i dont have to have SPF :)

  • i love the dream liquid foundation

  • I have dry skin and it made me oily and I broke out within hours of wearing it. I gave it right to my mom who didn't really like it either.

This is the first maybelline foundation that hasn't worked for me.

  • @letsbeamazeing Ditto! Happened to me too! it was awful :/

  • this foundation is meant for people with normal to dry skin (it says so on the bottle) so for those of you who try it and have combination or oily skin it will will not work for you unless u find a primer or powder that works miracles so its a bit innacurate and unfair for those of you to reveiw this product that wasnt meant for you. you guys are better suited for the dream matte mousse. the dream liquid mousse works great for ppl with normal to dry skin

  • will this block big pores?

  • @Beautyholicc it did on me! :O(

  • My favourite foundation. Always use it.

  • I agree with your comment about it don't lasting. My skin is combination and when I purchased it & wore it to school I was close to looking like I had applied oil to my face after 2 hours. Even with a primer, blotting and setting powder. =/

  • i think you have a darker color.. so maybe that why there is a dark finish. i have this fondation which is perfectly matched with no yellow tint and im pretty light.. so idk what your talking about. and its amaaaazing for dry faces!

  • you seem rather obscure your face in this video

  • i found my 100% match in this product line... i have comb/oily but it didn't oxidize on me. i really like it but sadly i think there is some ingredient in it that caused allergy and i started to have tiny red dots on my cheeks... :-(

  • See I like to look natural and I don't like to look like a cake so what I like about this product is that It make me look natural I love it !!!!!!

  • I have oily skin, and I was afraid I wouldn't like this foundation because everyone was saying your face turns in to an oil streak and it slides off very quickly and just looks gross and oily, but actually in the winter this is my pick because my skin gets kind of dry and other foundations look cakey and blotchy on my face and makes it look really dry, but this gives it a dewy finish, but I would not dare use it any other time than winter when my face is more dry.

  • FINALLY! I have tried MANY different foundations and none of them ever looked as good as this one does. I have dry skin and I use Nivea face and body lotion with this and it turns out SO good. I no longer have little flakes on my chin and around my nose from my foundation. It goes on smooth and it finishes beautifully. Would definitely not recommend this for people with oily skin because even though I don't experience the whole oily look after about 2 hours, it still looks dewey. Which I like.

  • I have dry skin but this foundation did not work on me. I could not find a color that will suit my skin color. Like you said they have a yellow undertone. I thought this will be great coverage foundation because I have acne scars and a few blemishes but it does not cover. I need to put extra powder to conceal them.

  • What is combination skin really? Is it dry and oily skin? Cause I'm not sure if I'm oily or combination.

  • @xcreepyteddyx skin that is oily on the forehead and nose, dry or normal on the cheeks and prone to break outs on the chin!

  • @Lisasz09 Wow. That is my skin EXACTLY!

  • I also have combination skin. So now I know not to try it.

  • estee lauder double matte review PLEASE! i am a starter and i really dont want to waste my money i would really appreciate it

  • @69Cortesz I dont own it yet- sorry!

  • @Lisasz09 do you plan to?

  • @69Cortesz I am not sure- I have considered it but always find something I want to try more! Sorry!

  • what was the color you bought ?

  • @sephoraslover sorry I dont remember!

  • Holy balls you used to be tan!

  • I have a tip, i recommend buying the dream matte mouse, all though its a concealer it works great for getting rid of a oily skin look. i have dry skin so give it a try and tell me how it works

  • I use Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation. I use Fawn (040) When I apply this foundation, it tends to come out a little patching around my face. Do you know how I can make this smooth? I use mostirizer, and I have a very orginised daily cleasning routen. Is it the actuall foundation or is it how I am appling it? And also, your ment to use 2 shades lighter than your skin tone, i used 1 shade darker, i have tryed the light but i just looked like snow white!

  • @JamieValentine123 I would suggets a primer- that will keep the patchy parst away!

  • @Lisasz09 Oh, i went into town/mall today and bought onethankyou for your help! :)

  • it makes your face break out

  • Why is your face so red here? Is it b/c of retin A?

  • @rupal20101 might be I dont remember that was a long while ago!

  • So now that I'm trying liquid foundation, I bought this product and i would definitely buy it again because it matches my skin so perfect and it just feels so weightless as if I had nothing on. : )

  • i tried to like it too, but ur right, it is just not for those of us with oily skin. it got really cakey on me too, within the first HALF HOUR. :( thanks for the review

  • I know you said it doesn't say that it's a matte finish but is the foundation shimmery?

  • @lizetyo it is a satin finish!

  • the one I have matches my skin colour EXACTLY and I love the finnish It makes me feel dewy and it doesn't make my skin all clogged and it lasts so long! love this :)

  • love your vids! you have a interesting skin tone. dont mean ugly or anything, somehow it just looks really unique to me :D

  • this happend to me

  • i just tried this foundation and i have super dry skin and this gave me oily skin for the first time ever.... its marketed as a combination/ oily foundation and it is really oily!!! it also has horrible coverage and made me break out i was really disappointed cos i wear dream matte mouse all the time and i was dying to try it in my opinion don't waste your money !!!

  • Liked it on my dry skin until it broke me out!!

  • I liked it then it broke me out=(

  • just so you know, this foundation is supposed to have a satin finish :)

  • This is the only foundation which gives a good finish. i hav horrible acne scars...this foundation acts as a concealer and foundation and gives me a good finish....i hav tried lik a lot of foundations this is only thing which covered up my acne and redness

  • Do you know of a good liquid foundation for combo/oily skin??

  • @blueberl drugstore neutrogena healthy skin or revlon colrostay. For non drugstore- sheseido sun protection liquid or MUFE matet velvet +

  • your skin color is always different. your really dark here. how do you tan?

  • @hopefulone311 I use self tanners!

  • I absolutely love this foundation but I do have dry/normal skin.

I can understand why you didn't like the colour selection... I'm a 2.5 Natural Beige and I'm East-Indian, lol

  • ahhahaaa.your foundation is so dark lol""!

  • SAME FOR ME!

    that stuff sux!

it looks ok for the first 20 minutes but then comes off easily & makes your face super oily. yuk!

  • oh nooo this video isnt working for meee.

  • i've used this for about a yr and a half now.. have tried other foundations since but they never suit my skin.. always come back to this. i have combination sjin but i powder over my t-zone after applying and it lasts all day

  • it works great in my skin tone!!

    im yellow undertones

  • This gave me MAJOR breakouts after ONE day! I remember being so disappointed because the ads looked promising and other people seemed to like it.

  • omg, my skin becomes extremely oily after a couple of hours. i didn't notice the oily face until the 3rd day of use that i checked my face out.. the color worked for me, the oily part does not.

  • I have to say that this foundation is super great for dry skin. I had no problems with it not staying or anything and I liked that it didn't give me a matte finish because with dry skin, I'm always trying to look a little closer to the dewy side. I'm sorry you had a hard time with this foundation, but I just thought I'd let you know that it's fantastic with dry skin. oh, and at the time I had no primer either and it lasted me all day :)

  • I have this one in the lightest color classic ivory and it's a bit too dark... And in contrary to what u said it has a super pink base to it.. I have yellow undertones and can't find a drugstore foundation to match me .. Is it true that the mac foundations have more of a yellow undertone? Thanks

  • @alecolombianaful yes mac ones do have a yellow undertone- also you could try neutrogena healthy skin foundation! :o)

  • this is my favourite foundation i tryed solid to liquid but its not that good thank you for doing this vidoe xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • This is my favorite foundation! It's awsome!!! If you have normal/dry skin, use it!!!!

  • uuh damn i just tried and it sucks!

  • ohh sorry lol my laptop was at the wrong angle so everything looked funny!

  • I love this foundation. But i've noticed it made my skin oily after an hour. What I do is put no primer on. Put this on bare face. Then I get powder foundation and put a litter over that. Then I put this white powder finish stuff on. It makes my skin look flawless. BTW- I have normal to dry skin! =)

  • i have the dream liquid mousse in classic iveory light 2 and i love this stuff!! i am on my 2nd bottle and it gives me such a flawless finish....you can build layers and it never goes cakey or looks overdone....its just beautiful! i use the physicians formula talc free powder foundation on top and the two look amazing!

  • i have the same color and it works great it matches my skin tone and i love it its great. with any translucent powder it looks amazing and i dont need full coverage

  • P.S. Its matt..

  • The only foundation that EXACTLY matches my skin tone (which i have never found with any of other foundations in my life!) is maybelline pure mineral foundation. This is the firs foundation that perfectly looks on my face! I dont feel it! (Im sensitive to makeup) Im very happy because i could never use foundation as it would never look flawless or even with my mixed skin, and that one is perfect.. I definitely recommend to try this one to those who have problematic skin.

  • i have dry skin. i actaully like it. the problem was that it would come off after an hour..so what i did was mix it with my revlon color stay and it amazinly made it last much longer. a little pump of both foundations made it last long and not oily. both of these products work really well. and it still gave me an airbrushed finished(:

  • ohh, good idea! :)

  • This is perfect for people with dry skin, but everyone else should avoid it in my opinion. I have oily skin and it just won't last. The coverage is fine, finish itself with powder is fine... but it just doesn't stay and after about an hour i look horrible even with powder. If it hasn't all gone i just look really oily.

  • I love how this foundation applies on my face and the coverage that it gives and also does not break me out. The down side is that I have oily skin and this foundation excentuates the shine on your face thoughout the day not matter how much you blot it. Even with primers and finishing powders that help prevent shine it is not good.

  • yeh...i tried this foundation nd my skin is VERY oily and the minute i put it on one section on my face, wen i felt it with my finger, my face felt like i had just dipped it in a bucket of water! lol

but im bein serious...i wudnt buy it.

  • i love this foundation! i dont get why people dont like it ^^

  • I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION i think its mostly because im dry skin it gives a perfect coverage

  • @glitterstar06 same, its may favourite foundation ever, as my skin is SO SO dry! and the colour is perfect ^^

  • i got this and its terribal fo rmy skin..... horribal.

  • Great.. now i'm afraid to try this product from all these bad reviews lol.. I just bought it last night

What I will do.. I'm going to mix a little of it with my Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer (GREAT PRODUCT) to get more coverage and see what happens. - since the Healthy Skin Enhancer is just a tinted moisturizer

    wish me luck

    lol

  • what happened then

  • don't use l'oreal stuff, they do animal testing as well as all brands of procter&gamble, johnson&johnson, sara lee, unilever and much more.. blind consuming is irresponsible.

  • I LOVE this stuff. I like that it's sort of yellow toned because i don't want pink looking skin.. it feels awesome on my skin

  • Definitely experienced the same thing. SO OILY after just one hour. ugh.

  • I got this foundation around 3weeks ago, At first i though wow this is amazing but then when i went to school i noticed it went in to my pores and as some body said, it had like dripped/melted kind of! I think there is a way of mastering it though, it just takes time, i really like it now, it works pretty well with avon's magix face perfector underneath and Rimmel's Stay matte pressed powder

    x

  • shame :/

  • could you please please do a review on max factors false lash effect mascara?

    please?:)

  • I dont own that one yet but if I buy it I will do a review! :o)

  • I totally agree with Lisa, I have oily skin and after a few hours my skin looked very shiney. The plus point is that its easy to apply and blend

  • horribleeee foundation! it also made me look oily and it made me break out.

  • this foundation looks great on me!

we don't have revlon here, and the foundation doesn't say mousse just because it isn't.

oily skin and alot of liquid foundations don't work!

  • i have oily skin and it works ok on me + all i wer over it natural collection loose powder

  • the. grossest. product. ever.

  • I have dry skin. really, really dry skin. i used this for a month, and i had the same result as you. it sucks after like..30 minutes. by the end of the day it DRIPPED off of my face. it made me break out. it was absolutely disgusting. but the color matched my skin very well, which is the shame of it.

  • im asian..light skin..so is plain beige color of a liquid foundation suits me? or oriental, natural? im gonna buy a foundation online and im not sure what suits me..

  • Unfortunelty i dont knwo the colors well enought to match you- sorry!

  • the colors are soooo confusing!!!!it made me look like i put mud on my face!!!

  • this foundation SUCKKSS! omg

  • I hate this foundation.

  • i agree with most comments. i was really excited because i got it buy one get one free, and so i decided to try it. it went on nice, and felt good at first, but soon after my face got sooo shiny and gross. i tried to keep using it bc i wanted to like it and it just made me break out like crazy. i decided to quit and bought revlon color stay and it works great, much thicker and actually stays on and doesnt make me look like i havent showered in a week!

  • if you have DRY skin PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do NOT by this product!!

it just emphasises your dry skin!!!

  • oh no I am sorry to hear that! :o(

  • thats fine :)

i just dont want anyone to waste there money!

    but a really good review!

i thought this foundation would be better for dry skin than the mouse but it isnt!

    :) :)

  • Hi Lisa, have you tried the Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation??

  • I have not yet tried that foundation!

  • Thanks so much! I wanted to purchase this product but now that everybody's saying it wears off after a few hours, I thought nevermind, I'll just save my money for something better. ={D

  • i was really excited about this one, darn, it sucks, o well, ill buy the rimmel lasting matte finish instead...

  • I think you need to have dry skin for this foundation I wore this for the whole day and did not have to blot I did not use a primer just moisturerizer

  • I hate this stuff! I love the mousse one its flawless but its a bit to heavy. The liquid is feels very light but it def makes me break out. I used only ones and started breaking out! It had a nice finish for drugstore but def not worth breaking out.

  • I think some foundations look way better without primers of any kind. Especially this one. My teen neice loves it and never uses primer. I normally wear Dior and also without primer because it has one built into it. It seems that all primers make my makeup ugly except for the Mac spf 50.

Thanks so much for your review.

  • I totally agree 100% about your whole review of this! It looks horrid on me after about 1 hour!

  • Hi! Good review! I just picked up the Dream Liquid Mousse today at Walgreens, & I got the same color as you (Natural Beige) & also I got Sandy Beige, which is Medium 1. To me, Natural Beige looks more olive-brown, which is perfect for me since I'm more olive toned. Yaay! Sandy Beige is too yellow with a little hint of orange. Have you tried Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation? They have a color called Wheat, it's a medium neutral color & I think would be a great match for you. :-)

  • I have not tried the DW yet- I am considering it when I use some up! :o)

  • I love the drugstore product reviews :) Thanks!

  • I have to say I have that same one and i love, love the color match for my skin tone, but I have to agree with you on the finish, after about 2 hours my skin looks so oily it's nasty.. so I would love to find a foundation that she was same color match but not the aftermath of the oily look.. can you help?

  • I would suggest studio fix fluid by MAC or revlon colorstay found at drugstores! :o)

  • Thanks for the review! Can you do a review on the Sevin Nyne tanning spray that you recently bought? Thanks!<3

  • I do have a reviwe coming up on this! :o)

  • I bought this product and its okay, but the colours aint that good, i dont really use make up every day so the touch up's dont really bother me

  • oh well I am glad you have made it work for you! :o)

  • i was NOT a big fan of this stuff either! i have dry skin, and somehow, i still managed to look (and feel) oily half-way through the day. that takes talent. i found that it slid right off my face. by the end of the day, it looked like i left the house without putting anything on. i didn't even bother using the whole bottle. i tossed it after a week.

  • ohh that is strange- most people with dry skin say it works well! :o(

  • i wish it did! i basically agreed with everything you said in your review. actually, it just enhanced some dry skin patches on my nose and chin, but still managed to slide right off of the rest of my face. i'll be sticking with revlon colorstay!

  • I really wanted to love it too but it was so thin and i dont know it didnt do much but i mixed it with my revlon colorstay which did not have my exact color match and they work like a charm together. hopefully you can find a way to make it work for you. wasting money on products youll never use sucks =/

  • I actually returned it- it was so bad! :o(

  • Opps what do you think of revlon face primer?

  • you do you think of revlon face primer?

  • I have not yet used their primer!

  • It's actually impossible to find a perfect match for me... I'm that pale, lol. Every other company has a close-ish color for me (all too dark, but nobody notices the darkness) except for Maybelline. It's frustrating :(

  • aww that is a shame- sorry to hear it! :o(

  • You are so right!! I hated this foundation!

  • glad you agree with me on this! :o)

  • thats the same problem i had with this stuff it makes me so oily and i have oily/combo skin

  • well I am sorry to hear it didnt work for you but i am glad you agree! :o)

  • Thanks for the review!

I'm pretty sure I won't like this foundation either. ;D

  • Yay! I am glad that you found this helpful! :o)

  • in the uk advert of this it says it covers pores and shows pictures of a golf ball getting covered in the liquid and how it fills the grooves...does it really do that? does it really smooth pores away better than any other or is it just an ad thing?

    Thanks, Anna

  • That is just an add thing! :o(

  • thanks for the review!!! :-)

  • Yay! I am glad that you found this helpful! :o)

  • you're always so shiny.

  • What's your point? When you're shiny, you can't help it. I wash my face and it's still shiny. It's an absolutely horrid trait to have- no matter how much powder I put on, and no matter how much I blot, I'm shiny.

  • i agree and I have now begun to use mattifying gels to in order to reduce the shine! :o) Thanks for responding!

  • What is a good mattifying gel? And do you use them? Thanks Lisa :]

  • ooops, I mean, HOW do you use them lol.

  • Yes, I agree with you 100% on this. I passed mine on to my Mom, who has dry skin.

  • Yay! I am glad that you found this helpful! :o)
